Abstract

Motivation is one of the most important aspects of sports coaching program. Various facilities for athletes overcoming psychological problems should be held, including counseling program conducted by professional counselors. Athletes sports wrestling West Sumatra PON XIX get motivation increases with counseling by a counselor and motivator of the team during the preparation and training, so we get the result of increased achievement and medal counts for PON XIX. The results showed that counseling provides a constructive role to increase the motivation of athletes wrestling West Sumatra PON XIX.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to describe the subject of study and reason as well as research-based counseling service management. Counseling services based on research carried out to improve the quality of learning through counseling. The discussion of this article are (1) the background of the counseling service based research, (2) understanding the tasks and activities of counseling teacher or counselor, (3) reason for the existence of counseling in education, (4) the differences and similarities counseling services with research PTK-BK, (5) the motivations and goals of research-based counseling services, and (6) management of research-based counseling services. Among the benefits of this article is to (1) raise awareness counseling teacher or counselor about the importance of developing a counseling service that is integrated with the research, (2) develop a research culture for counseling teacher/ counselor, (3) encourage educational institutions both school/ madrasah/ pesantren for developing research-based counseling services, (4) encourage universities that provide education academic and professional counseling to develop research activities and community service through mentoring research-based counseling services. Keywords: counseling services, research, quality of learning, PTK-BK.

Abstract

Focus of this study are (1) describe and analyze the implementation of the guidance and counseling program, (2) find some factors inhibiting the implementation of the guidance and counseling program. This study uses qualitative methods; using interview data collecting technique, tested its validity through triangulation. Subjects in this study are all teachers of guidance and counseling in the Senior High School of Singkawang as many as 10 people as well as principals and supervisors as the informants with the total of 11 people. Results (1) the implementation of evaluation of guidance and counseling program by the teachers still has many weaknesses on each phase of the evaluation, such as not understanding the evaluation models of the guidance and counseling program, how to apply them, and monitoring process that is not done in deeply and in detail, (2) Some factors inhibiting the implementation of the evaluation of guidance and counseling program are lack of knowledge and understanding of the evaluation of guidance and counseling program in the schools, lack of interest in developing professional competencies, and lack of guidance to the teachers in implementing the guidance and counseling evaluation program.

Abstract

Basically every individual has a concept about himself. The concept which has been ingrained in each individual, would influence the behavior of that individuals in various aspects of their life including in facing the problems. Only a little of the students are able to solve the problem well. Sometimes to keep themselves right in a problem, they “form” defense mechanism. This research was conducted to reveal the correlation between self concept and defense mechanism of guidance and counseling students of  IAIN Bukittinggi. The population was the entire of guidance and counseling students that concist of 452 students, and 102 samples. The data was collected by using questionnaire that was processed using product moment technique in SPSS 21.0 version. The result shown that there is a significant correlation between self-concept and defense mechanism in facing the problem with the r calculated was 0.433. The strength of the correlation between self-concept  and defense mechanism of BK  students of IAIN Bukittinggi are at moderate or sufficient.

Abstract

This  research purposes describing student’s self concept of Dayak ethnic of  West Borneo. The used instrument to identify concept of student self of Dayak ethnic is self’s concept scale that has been valid. This research subjects are 108 dayak students of threesenior high schools. The conducted research procedure is utilizing quantitative research - survey cross-sectional. Sample decision is chosen by convening sampling, that is chosen sample with ease consideration. The data analysis which resorted is percentage. Based on result of research finding, generally, describing student’s self-concept of Dayak ethnic is in very high category, includes perceptual aspect(physical self-concept),conceptual (psychologicalself-concept),and attitudinal. To summarize this research, students of dayak ethnic have very high category of self concept, however, if it is compared with five other ethnic at Pontianak, student’s self concept of Dayak ethnic of  West Borneo hold the worst result. Key words: Concept of Self, Dayak Ethnic Students.

Abstract

Group guidance is an activity of existing services in guidance and counseling is helpful to discuss the topic of problems that are common to both topics task or topic freely discussed the topic of the present that can be taken through the media, such as newspapers, magazines, television, internet and others are discussed groups. With the technique of self-regulation in the group to facilitate members of the group in preparing: (1) planning, (2) self monitoring, (3) self-reflection/ self-evaluation.

Abstract

Self adaptation is individual skill to react effectively in social connection environment individual in a place. The training guidance self adaptation in prakerin is developed for make counselor easier in the school for give service optimally and prepares students well before prakerin. Research subject is 11 grade of SMK PGRI Pakisaji Malang. The purpose of the research is produce training project self adaptation SMK student in prakerin place. Test effectiveness is done with one group pre-test post test planning. The instrument which is used is self project scale in prakerin with grain validity ≥ 0,3 and reliability alpha Cronbach 0,882. The result of the research show that (1) the project that is developed has complete acceptability and, (2) it has improve of effectively self adaptation SMK student in prakerin place.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the condition of stress student in completing the thesis viewed from a physiological reaction, psychological, cognitive and behavioral. This study was a descriptive study with a sample of 93 people using simple random sampling. The instrument used in this study is the Student Stress Measurement Scale Completed Thesis (SPSMMS). The study findings revealed that 1) most of the students in completing the thesis stressed in general at a moderate level with a percentage of 35.5%, 2) most of the students in completing the thesis under stress with physiological reactions at a moderate level with a percentage of 40%, 3) most of the students in complete the thesis experiencing psychological stress reactions at a moderate level with a percentage of 38%, 4) most of the students in completing the thesis stressed with cognitive reaction at a moderate level of 35.5%, 5) most students in completing the thesis stressed by the reaction behavior at moderate levels 38.7%. The study recommends necessary counseling services in order to reduce student stress conditions in completing the thesis.

Abstract

Disabled students often feel that they are not accepted in their social environment, for they usually find it hard to adapt or adjust in it. This study is purposed to: (1) to know the description of the social interaction of students with physical disability in SLB Negeri Bengkulu. (2) the differences in the social interaction of disabled students before and after being given the group guidance.This research’s population are 10 students of  XI.D class. The research includes the design of experimental research with the time series experiment using random sampling technique method, in which the questionnaire using Likert Scale models is used as the instrument, then analyzed by the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with SPSS version 16. The author concludes that group counseling is effective to improve the social interaction among the disabled students.mamajitu

Abstract

This study aims to find out there is a direct effect of school-based management in the professionalism of teachers. Subjects were teachers who served in secondary schools in Central Lampung, participants were 40 teachers. The study used a survey method causal. The study proved that the school-based management influence on the professionalism of teachers. This means that peninggkatan professionalism of teachers is essentially the improvement of the quality of education within the scope of narrow and wide, can be done by increasing the school-based management.
