Abstract

Astra International Tbk. Auto 2000 branch Kenjeran is a company department in sales, service and spare parts services. To evaluate the productivity in the service department for this time, it is necessary to measure productivity properly and correctly because productivity measures can be used as material for consideration in carrying out an upcoming productivity planning. This research was conducted in January-December 2013. The productivity method used is the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method. From the results of productivity measurements, it is known that the best productivity occurs in July, which is equal to 768.8, well above the standard value of 300. The worst productivity occurred in February, which amounted to equal 174,8. From the achievement of the score it can be seen that the criteria that do not contribute to the productivity index are criteria 1, namely the comparison between unit handling and the use of working hours because it has the smallest score to equal 47. The strategy for increasing productivity is to evaluate the causes of decreasing productivity in the lowest criteria.

Abstract

Non-dairy creamer is a product made at PT. NDC as a substitute for milk or cream, which is a fat emulsion product. Krimer is packed with a 25kg small bag with an updated coding according to the lot, production time, production date, product name, and packaging date expiration date. Often there is an error in the packaging unit, especially at the coding stage with the wrong non-dairy creamer packaging code that causes packaging defects. The defects in packaging focused on the coding stage, have to be minimized. The research uses the Six Sigma method as a useful tool to increase productivity and product quality. With DMAIC Discussion (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control). Through data processing and analysis using the DMAIC cycle obtained three types of packaging defects, namely cryptic code, double code and wrong code from the three defects obtained percentage value of cryptic code 63%, double code 44% and wrong code 42% and obtained an average value sigma 3.71 with a DPMO value of 13,553

Abstract

One of the process making a creamer is the process of mixing liquid glucose, oil, emulsion powder and water that produces liquid creamer (wet mix / liquid mix). The wet mix results often not match with the standard which can affect the results in the next process. This is the purpose of company to make improvements in controlling wet mix in order to decrease the number of wet mix failure produced. The method used in this research was DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Previous data processing was using Seven Tools, with 3 of 7 tools which are the observation sheet (check sheet), pareto diagram, and fishbone diagram. Through data processing and analysis using DMAIC obtained 3 types of failure of semi-finished products (wet mix) which was wet mix as much as 38.8889%, wet mix gross as much as 36.1111%, and wet mix browning 25,0000% and obtained sigma value at Level 3.87. Define is the stage of defining quality problems, and defined the cause. Measure is the stage of measuring the failure rate of the product. Analyze is the stage of quality improvement by analyzing factors causing product failure. Improve is an action plan to improve quality by eliminating factors causing product failure. Control is the last stage of the Six Sigma project that emphasizes the documentation and dissemination of actions that have been done.

Abstract

One of the alternative energy source that can be developed is the Wind Power Plant. The need for electrical energy that continues to increase, it takes not a little time to build a power plant. System planners must also be able to see the possibilities of the development of the power system in the years to come. Indonesia is a country that has abundant energy resources, one of which is a source of wind energy. Indonesia which is an archipelagic country and one of the countries located on the equator is a factor, that Indonesia has abundant wind energy potential. In this study the output that produced is a renewable energy product, which is a power plant product in the coastal area. In the previous study a low-speed permanent magnet generator has been produced which can be driven by wind turbines which will be continued through the design of vertical type wind turbines. The results of this study can then be developed, especially for electricity generation products in the coastal region. In the process of planning and manufacturing vertical type wind turbines, to produce enough power to meet household electricity needs should be based on several factors that support the effectiveness of the power produced by the turbine, namely: Turbine Dimensions (Length and Blade Width), Material Strength , Shaft, Bearing and Generator Shaft

Abstract

In line with the times, the need for product development ideas has a high selling value. Economic value and product efficiency are highly considered in the design, one of which is the design of a stall or café chair. In general, the most used seats are permanent. In other words, it can't adjust when used for a few people or for a lot of people. Therefore it is necessary to design stalls and café chairs that can be stretched or shortened automatically. The purpose of designing this elongated chair is, it can be arranged so that it can be shortened, with this advantage we can save space and expand the space and of course it will be designed according to consumer needs. The elongated chair is made using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. Some methods that must be done, namely the Voice of Customer collection phase, which is done by distributing questionnaires to 25 respondents. The next step is House of Quality based on the results of the questionnaire. After the HOQ is completed, then the analysis and implementation phase of the results obtained at HOQ will be applied to the product design.
