Abstract

In this era, practical, effectiveness andsafety in activities are the necessities anddemands of life where almost all people makeit a priority in their lives. Effectiveness inactivities will be obtained by the availability oftechnology that supports it all. Various effortshave been made by humans to make neatclothes so as to create a clean impression andsupport various activities, an example of theresults of human efforts that are widely used toovercome this is by using an iron. In addition, the majority of the equipment still requiresmanual operation. Apart from the practicalside, but does not eliminate the safety side. Sohere the author is interested in conductingresearch on the practicality of use which islater expected to make the use of irons moreefficient, practical and safe. The measuredparameter is how the DS18B20 temperaturesensor functions as a temperature responsereceiver that sends a signal to the temperaturesensor module which will activate ordeactivate the iron through a smartphone. Theresults of this study that the device is able tosend a signal to the smartphone and if thetemperature produced by the iron exceeds themaximum limit a warning sign will appear onthe smartphone, and the user can operate theiron online and remotely using a smartphone. The speed of response received by the tool isalso to be forwarded to the iron or smartphoneis also in accordance with needs

Abstract

Determination of room rate in a hotel isinfluenced by two factors, namely internal andexternal. From an external perspective, PT. PIMhas eight competitor hotels that affect its roomrate. The Hotel Manager analyzes eachcompetitor's room rate changes to staycompetitive. Human analysis has severalshortcomings: subjectivity, fatigue andinconsistency. Then we need a decision supportor decision companion machine to determine theroom rate. ANFIS-PSO is a hybrid algorithmfrom the Adaptive neural network based fuzzyinference system (ANFIS) by utilizing ParticleSwarm Optimization (PSO) optimization.Traditional ANFIS is Gradient Decent (GD) asan algorithm for parameter optimization (model). This often happens to be stuck to get optimallocal results, to overcome this PSO is used as asolution. The results obtained from the ANFIS- PSO training contained a difference of Rp.3173,187 or a percentage of 1.34%. From themodeling obtained applied to the hotel PT.PIM,with the result of an increase in revenue of Rp.17,493,548. The conclusion obtained is thatANFIS-PSO can help managers to determine theroom rate by modeling data obtained from theANFIS-PSO method. Suggestion for thedevelopment of this research is that ANFIS-PSOhas a complex complexity of training algorithmsbecause there is a combination of twoalgorithms, so to make it better a differentalgorithm design is needed.

Abstract

Maluku is an archipelago that is rich innatural products, especially the sea includingpearl shells. One small industry that is quitedeveloped in the city of Ambon is the handicraftindustry made from pearl shells. pearl shells areutilized and treated as crafts with high artisticvalue is one of the characteristics of the Malukuregion which is one of the souvenir choices thatis quite attractive to domestic and foreigntourists. Besides being consumed, shellfish alsoproduce pearls and are often made into jewelrysuch as necklaces, bracelets, rings and wallhangings and various accessories.Fluctuationsin demand from time to time cause the need forinventory planning by forecasting the needs ofthe future. Forecasting used is the Time SeriesMoving Average and Single ExponentialSmoothing.Based on the results of researchconducted can be seen that the biggest capitalabsorbers are pearl shells, profiles, velvet clothand glass. Forecasting with Moving Average(MA) = 4 months has the smallest error valuewith forecast results is 57 kg. With a total costof Rp. 5,156,847,779. The alternatives used inaggregate planning are a strategy with regularregular working days and an overtime strategy, which is 26 days / month, with a productioncapacity of 39 units of finished shell products. With a total cost of Rp. 243,650,000.

Abstract

This research aim to find out service quality attributes that can increase customer satisfaction. One service company is CV. Nirwana which is engaged in the sale and service of office equipment maintenance. winning business competition company must create a strategy that can improve the quality of service to consumers.Themethod used in this study is the ServQual Method which includes 5 main dimensions, namely Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance and Emphaty. The ServQual method is a tool used to measure the services or products of the quality of services received by consumers. Based on the level of service quality there is a negative attribute value on the variable on the dimensions of reliability and responsiveness. Negative values indicate that the quality of service is not quality and consumers do not feel satisfaction with the services provided by the company. Positive values are found in the tangibles, assurance and empathy variables which show that the service provided can be said to be a surprise and consumers feel satisfaction with the service. Therefore, the company is expected to be able to improve the quality of services that are of negative value, namely engine cleanliness after repairs, speed and timeliness in providing services, seriousness and reliability of technicians in completing repairs, availability of historical data / recording systems that are good at service, providing service services in accordance with promise, Alertness in providing assistance to consumers if experiencing difficulties Provide a good explanation of repairs, costs and estimated time to consumers, the ability of service advisors in diagnosing customer problems / complaints.

Abstract

The world has been shocked by the emergence of COVID-19 since December 2019 which is an acute respiratory disease caused by a corona virus called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or abbreviated as SARSCoV-2 (Gorbalenya et al., 2020). As of June 17, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) noted that there were 8,061,550 people infected with COVID-19 and 440,290 people died (WHO, 2020a). Even though the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of COVID-19 is only around 5.46%, this disease is very dangerous because of its spread so fast it has infected 216 countries (Worldometer, 2020). To prevent uncontrolled spread, WHO declared COVID-19 a pandemic on March 11, 2020 (WHO, 2020b) to increase awareness of this disease. The status of this pandemic is a concern for the world to make various efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. One way to protect yourself from spreading COVID-19 is to use Personal Protective Equipment. Face shield is a personal protective device that functions to protect the face from exposure to dangerous substances in the case of the spread of the Covid-19 virus. A good face shield is a face shield that has a high level of durability, has high material quality, has a sufficient level of elasticity, and the costs incurred are not too expensive. In choosing the best alternative in making a decision, the right method is needed so that the best alternative is obtained from various predetermined criteria. Then the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to select the best alternative material to be used in making the Face Shield. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be seen that each alternative has the advantage of the criteria felt by the respondent. However, of the four criteria for selecting the face shield material, the most superior or chosen as the choice is mica.Judging from the percentage of mica against the Durability criteria is 31.7%, the percentage of mica against the quality criteria is 43.1%.

Abstract

A Learning environment is a place where the learning process takes place. In the implementation of the learning process, most student activities are carried out in a sitting position. Therefore the conditions and seating arrangements, the shape of the chairs, the various equipment and facilities that support the teaching and learning process must be a concern. An uncomfortable sitting position can affect the quality of learning. Also, uncomfortable lecture chairs will affect the user's concentration in learning so that this condition will accelerate the onset of fatigue. The application of the production process that we carried out for the manufacture of our redesigned lecture chairs (flexible chair) has been produced with a total time of 370 minutes with parts, namely, the mainframe, headrests, leg rests, back frame, and supporting materials with a total of 5 operators. We hope that this article can help other fellow students to produce an item and make an analysis of the production process.

Abstract

A process in a company or industry will never be separated from the name of the production, production is an important part of the running of a company or industry. This research aims to provide input to the company to be able to calculate the need for future production targets based on previous production data so that the company can prepare all production needs. Production can also be interpreted as an activity to increase the use of goods and benefits in fulfilling daily activities. In practice, a person or business entity that carries out production activities is called a producer. Producers produce goods to be sold to meet the needs of others and theirindividuals. Production activities, there is an activity of processing raw materials into semi-finished materials, and then proceeding from semi-finished materials to finished materials. Therefore, a separate focus is needed to determine the amount of production, output, and input that is done. One thing that can be done is knowing up to calculating the needs of all processes to the production target. While the focus of production activities from the production system to inventory is First, forecasting is important and foremost. Second, inventory control is very important in the production system for inventory, especially in planning the purchase and delivery of raw materials and components. Third, the production of large quantities of inventory items is more structured.
