Abstract

Bandeng Juwana Grup is one of the famous traditional food shop in Central Java, established since 1981 and currently have employs more than six hundred employees. Behind its success story, it have a unique backgroud abaout the founder and the main leader, he is come from medical faculty. Threfore, the research has a purpose to analysize and explore the approach of leadership style that had been used by dr. Daniel Nugroho Setiabudi at Bandeng Juwana Grup, moreover it would investigate the effectiveness of the leadership style according to the Indonesia’s local culture. The research uses qualitative method with the fenomemenologi approach and the main subject of the studies was the leadership style applied by dr. Daniel Nugroho Setiabudi at Bandeng Juwana Grup. The source of data would be get by purposive sampling method as the key informan namely dr. Daniel Nugroho Setiabudi and the supporting informan were his workers. Based of this research, it can be concluded that the leadership style applied by dr. Daniel Nugroho Setiabudi was servant leadership style, with the strongest factor are listening and stewardship. However the style had an unique main foundation, that was the principal of loving each others. The leadership style was also distinctive as it had a collaboration with the local Indonesia culture. Finally, the leadership style of dr. Abstract

Affective organizational commitment is a psychological attachment to the organization that is characterized by a strong desire of individuals to survive in an organization and there is emotional involvement of the organization, the identification of values and goals of the organization. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between perceptions of transactional leadership style with affective organizational commitment in managing workers Perusahaan Umum (Perum) Perhutani Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan Semarang. The population in this study are workers implementing the Perusahaan Umum (Perum) Perhutani Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan Semarang. Study sample totaled 138 people, which is obtained through simple random sampling technique. Means of collecting data in this study is the scale. Affective and the scale of organizational commitment scale (32 valid aitem, α = 0.933) and perceptions of transactional leadership style (30 valid aitem α = 0.954), which has been tested on 38 workers implementing the Perusahaan Umum (Perum) Perhutani Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan Semarang. Data obtained by simple regression analysis demonstrated a correlation coefficient of 0.42 and p = (p <0.05). That is, there is a positive and significant relationship between two variables, if the more positive perceptions of transactional leadership style, the higher the affective commitment to the organizations, and conversely the more negative perceptions of transactional leadership style, the lower the affective organizational commitment in managing workers. These results indicate that the hypothesis is accepted. Perceptions of transactional leadership style contributed by 17.7% effective against affective organizational commitment, while 82.3% were influenced by other factors that are not revealed in the study. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job satisfaction, organisation climate and organizational commitment on intention to quite and to analyze the most affective variable on intention to quit. It is necessary to examine the factors affecting intention to quit so that management will be able to push turnover rate down. The company shall give a serious attention because a high turnover within a company can interrupt activities and productivities. High rate of turnover leads to adverse effect to an organization. Such problem is likely generating instability and uncertainty towards employment condition and human resources cost rise in forms of training invested to them, recruitment and newly built training programs. High turnover, in addition, also results in organizational ineffectiveness because it loses experienced employees as well as spends much times in training new, inexperienced employees. There are 165 respondents who are employees Teladan Prima Group for the samples and data analysis during the research is held by using SEM and AMOS 16.0 program. According to the analysis, it is concluded as the followings: job satisfaction has a positive effect on organizational commitment (CR = 3.111); organization climate has a positive on organizational commitment (CR = 4.258); organizational commitment has a negative effect on intention to quit (CR = -4.339); job satisfaction has a negative effect on intention to quit (CR = -2.165); and organizational commitment has a positive effect on intention to quit (CR = 1,319). Abstract

This study aims to determine how big the influence of core service quality and peripheral service quality to consumer satisfaction on BNI Undip Semarang. The problem that facing by BNI Undip Semarang is consumer’s satisfaction which decreasing, as seen from a lot of complains received from consumer. And this research also aims to analyze the most dominant factors that influence on consumer satisfaction of BNI Undip Semarang. Population of this research are consumers of BNI Undip Semarang. Samples were taken of 100 respondents by using non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling  approach. Data was collected by using a survery method through quetionnaires which were filled out by consumers. Then, the obtained data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. This analysis includes: validity test,reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple regression analysis, hypothesis testing through the t test and F test, and coefficient of determination analysis (R²). From the analysis result, the indicators in this study are valid and reliables. The most dominant factor that influence on consumer satisfaction is peripheral service quality follow by the core service quality. Then though the F Test can be seen that the independent variables feasible to test the dependent variable. The result of Adjusted R Square is 36,2%, it means that independent variable can explain about 36,2% of dependent variable. Abstract

The research was inspired by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of food and beverage (F & B) industries which have not receive a certificate of SPP IRT from BPOM. The certificate is given to SMEs that have passed for quality test in production process. The objective of the research is to analyze influence of quality management implementation to SMEs’ organization performance which similar to Total Quality Management. The research was also a replication and modification of the previous research written by Salaheldin (2008). The object of the research was focus to SMEs of F & B industries in Salatiga, Central Java. This research was an empirical study by using the whole population called census technique in data collection. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to the 42 owners of SMEs or who were authorized to manage the SMEs above. Data analysis was performed by Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the PLS (Partial Least Square) Smart Software. The analysis of hypothesis showed that all of proposed hypothesis were accepted. The variables of Strategic, Tactical and Operational factor; had a positive and significant impact on Operational Performance, Financial Performance, and Non-Financial Performance. And the variable of Operational Performance had a positive and significant impact on Financial Performance and Non-Financial Performance. Abstract

A demands of change in the business world is a threat that can not be avoided anymore. Regional Development Bank of Central Java Limited Company is one of the many companies that decide to make changes in order to maintain their existence. Management Change Program was announced by the Bank Jateng since 2005 and followed up in 2011 by reaching out to employees as partners for change. This Cultural transformation made an effort in realizing the next vision and mission of Bank Jateng, one of his vision is to become BPD Regional Champion in 2014. Therefore, the mapping of cultural organization that aims to analyze the current organizational culture profile and the next five years at Regional Development Bank of Central Java Limited Company to facilitate the process of cultural transformation that was planned. The study used a survey method with the Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI). The survey was conducted on directors, division chief, branch chief, and partner for change in the level of employees with a quantitative and qualitative (descriptive) approach, aims to reveal and analyze the cultural profile of the current Bank Jateng and the next five years. The results of this study, there is a common perception among directors, division chief, branch chief, a partner of change in the employee level which stated that the cultural profile of the current Bank Jateng is a hierarchy. However, on the next five years they are expected to have a combination of different cultures. Directors and chief of the division expects a combination of market and hierarchy cultures. Branch heads and partners of change, expect the combination of cultural change between the clan and a market cultural that is expected in the next five years. Alternatives market cultural dimensions to be the main focus in the next five years refers to the management of employees as a dimension that is expected to be more improve. Based on the interpretation of the cultural mapping, showing some indication that is: the process of cultural transformation from an organizational traditional hierarchical design to a modern organization design, Big expectations in five years ahead of Bank Bank Jateng has been in line with their goals become BPD Regional Champion 2014, and the role of Java culture in formation of organizational culture in the Bank Jateng.Key words: Transforming Organizational Culture, Organizational Culture Mapping, OCAI, Quantitative Descriptive

Abstract

Every bank has their eternal risk, which is maturity mismatch. Those risk caused by bank’s business core. The maturity mismatch can cause the bank failure and also can trigger the contagion effect. This study focus on interbank contagion effect problem and potential of systemic risk phenomenon in Indonesia’s banking industry in period 2002-2012. In this case in order to understand the contagion effect and systemic risk potential there are a few analysis’ to test the contagion existence, there are tracking on interbank contagion pattern, measuring the impact of interbank contagion effect on banking industry, measuring respond period of interbank contagion effect. Vector Autoregression are the method that selected in this study to analyze the contagion effect on sample that consist of bank that had 8,9 trillion rupiah minimum total asset in 2011(Indonesian top ten biggest bank on asset). The reason why those ten are being chosen is those ten held 63% of total banking industry asset in Indonesia. In order to describe the interbank contagion effect, financial distress contagion index being used. The index being composed by three variable which are current account in other bank divided by third-party funds ,the difference between fair value of financial asset divided by total asset, difference between foreign exchange transaction divided by total asset. In this VAR Analysis model there are three methods that had selected which are: Granger causality test, VAR analysis, impulse respond function (IRF). Conclusion form this Interbank Contagion: Systemic Market Risk in Indonesian banking Industry 2002-2012 study, there is systemic risk and also contagion risk in Indonesian Banking Industry. This is showed by the provement of all of the hipothesis in data analysis. From the data analysis result, the pattern of contagion effect, size of contagion impact, and quickness of the responses can be showed. However, the impact of systemic crises that may happen is not significant enough to collapsing the whole Indonesia’s banking industry.Keyword: contagion effect, systemic risk, Vector Autoregression (VAR), financial distress contagion

Abstract

Many concepts and methods of efficiency have been developed recently. Ones is outsourcing strategy. It gives strategic benefit, however outsourcing have strategic risk. To be survive in global competition, Ciggarete Industry must make its production efficiently by outsourcing. Its uses the strategy to keep its machine and equipment. This research uses qualitative approach and case study Ciggarete Industry. By analyzing value chain at first, the research continue to identifying internal and external factor and making outsourcing decision. There are three type of outsourcing sequentially which can be used to make decision i.e. : (1) Strategic Vulnerability and Control Consideration Model, (2) Make or Buy Cost Analysis, and (3) Strategic Sourcing Model. Abstract

Waste segregation done at the production point to ensure higher material recycling, one frequently use attemp to ensure the effort is by encouraging waste segregation at household level. In fact household participation in recycling is low therefore the research on factor that encourage household involvement on their waste segregation or waste recycling is arrouse. Oskamp et al. (1991) stated that specific recycling knowledge is more related to recycling intention compare to general environmental knowledge issues. This research will analyze causal relationship between waste recycling knowledge with waste segregation intention. Method apply is experimental method. Result with t-test shows that experiment done succesfully. T-test shows difference intention to segregate waste befor and after treatment applied. Household waste recycling knowledge on participant shaped from information absorb by individuals through stimulus prepared so that individuals understand completelly the benefit of household waste recycling and encorage individual household waste recycling intention.
