Abstract

This research buildings like by many students are still experiencing difficulty in resolving the problem of the story, problems that arise because of the students still do not understand what is intended in about a story about what is known and what you asked of the questions that in addition to how to solve problems in a sentence mathematics so getting the right answer. Formulation of the problem in this research is “How the thinking of students SMPN 1 Driyorejo in solving story in terms of linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligences?” The aim is to describe the thinking of students SMPN 1 Driyorejo in solving story in terms of linguistic and logical mathematical intelligences. The research is a description of qualitative research VIII-D class in SMPN 1 Driyorejo. Subjects in this study consisted of four students with the criteria of two students with linguistic and two students with mathematical logical intelligence. The data obtained by interview, which in a matter of story material tesying functions. The analysis shows that students who have linguistic intelligence can understand about but of less able in model and pursuing that situation and so students not being able to conclude the right answer. Students who have mathematical logical intelligence can understand and capable of being in the model and doing the right with students able to conclude that answers to right. Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that math is less desirable by students. This is due to lack of knowledge of the teachers in implementing the learning by using the methods in the abstract explanation. Then, the students only know how to calculate the numbers and not fully understood about the use of mathematical material itself. This research aims to provide information for the teachers in order to better understand the usefulness of mathematics material. Then the teacher is able to show the function of mathematics, especially mathematical logic, and the theacher will further enhance student’s motivation in learning mathematics. The research method used in this research is the study of literature, namely by reviewing, researching and investigating and studying the scientific works presented in the form of books, paper, or papers that are relevant to the research topic. Abstract

This research was motivated by a change of the curriculum from the curriculum KTSP is changed into the 2013curriculum which aims to make the 2013 curriculum students productive, innovative and effective. In order for a teacher-centered learning into an interactive learning. Therefore, the necessary learning model that can support the passage of the curriculum in 2013 that STAD cooperative learning model and cooperative learning model NHT. Formulation of the problem in this research is "Are there any differences in mathematics learning outcomes matrix material between students taught using cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) in class X AK of SMK Mahardika Surabaya ? ". The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a difference in the mathematics learning outcomes matrix material between students taught using cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) in class X AK SMK Mahardika Surabaya?. The population in this study were all students of class X AK SMK Mahardika Surabaya. While the sample is composed of two classes, namely class X AK AK AK-1 and X-2. Data was collected by providing a subjective test on the subject of the matrix given to both classes. From the data analysis calculated that t_hit > t_tabel of 4.2> 1.99125 and the average value of students who use cooperative learning model STAD is greater than the average value of students who use cooperative learning model NHT. So it can be concluded that there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes in the matrix material between students taught using cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) and cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) in class X AK SMK of Mahardika Surabaya. Abstract

One of the problems in the mathematical learning in junior high was the low ability students in solving math problems that are packed in the form of a question which more emphasis on understanding and mastery of a particular subject matter. Addressing it, solutions that can be used through Contexstual approach to teaching and learning, in order to improve the understanding of students about the concept of comparison and scale, involve students actively in the learning, and encourages independent learning-centered students so teachers only as a facilitator. The problem in this research is whether there is a difference of material studied mathematics results comparison and scale between students who use contextual learning model and conventional learning model in Class VII SMPN 1 Sukodono. Therefore, this research aims to find out whether there are differences in the results of mathematical learning material and scale of comparison between students who use contextual learning model and conventional learning model in Class VII SMPN 1 Sukodono.The methods used in this research is a method of tests given to students in order to know the influence of student learning outcomes. The population in this research is grade VII SMPN 1 Sukodono school year 2014-2015. In this study, the authors take samples with the technique of non-random sampling that is Purposive sampling, Sample research this is a Class VII J SMPN Sukodono academic year 2014-2015 as the class exsperiment and Class VII J SMPN 1 Sukodono academic year 2014-2015 as the class of the control. The research data was collected using the engineering test. In this study the author uses test-t.From the results of research that has been carried out, then it can be drawn the conclusion that "there is a difference of material studied mathematics results comparison and scale between students who use contextual learning model and conventional learning model in Class VII SMPN 1 Sukodono". Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students, it is due to the learning process that is dominated by traditional learning. At this learning atmosphere tends to teacher-centered classroom so that students become passive, therefore it is necessary to implement a learning strategy that can help students to understand the teaching material and its application in everyday life. Based on this, in this study it will be discussed whether there are differences in mathematics achievement subject matter sub gradient between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and the conventional model of learning in class XI SMA Kartika IV-3 Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in mathematics achievement between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models. This study uses quantitative research. As the population is students in class XI MIA Kartika IV-3 Surabaya The sample consisted of students of class XI MIA 1, amounting to 25 students as the experimental class and the students of class XI MIA 2, amounting to 25 students as the control class. Data collection method used is to use the test method. Data in the form of student test results done once the post-test is to determine the value of learning mathematics achievement of students in each sample after treatments or treatments performed. From the analysis we found differences in mathematics achievement between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models, in this case increased learning achievement in cooperative learning model STAD. With the calculation of the t-test is greater than the table or 4.98> 1.98 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion from this study is that there are differences in mathematics achievement subject matter sub gradient between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models, characterized by differences in mathematics achievement. Abstract

Formulation of the problem in this study is Are there differences in mathematics learning outcomes material comparisons and scale among the students who use the process of thinking dominant right brain and students who use the process of thinking dominant left brain class of VII-J SMP Negeri 24 Surabaya. The purpose is to determine whether there is difference in mathematics learning outcomes material comparisons and scale among the students who use the process of thinking dominant right brain and students who use the process of thinking dominant left brain class of VII-J SMP Negeri 24 Surabaya. Data collection techniques in this study is using questionnaires and test methods. Methods of data analysis using t-test formula. From the analysis of the data obtained thit = -5,55 which located in the rejection H0. This means H0 denied and H1 reads “There are differences in mathematics learning outcomes material comparisons and scale among the students who use the process of thinking dominant right brain and students who use the process of thinking dominant left brain class of VII-J SMP Negeri 24 Surabaya” be accepted. Then from the analysis of data and hypothesis testing can be concluded there are differences in mathematics learning outcomes material comparisons and scale among the students who use the process of thinking dominant right brain and students who use the process of thinking dominant left brain class of VII-J SMP Negeri 24 Surabaya school years 2014-2015.
