The Covid-19 pandemic which engulfes the world has affected almost all nations, including Indonesia. This crisis caused the Indonesian government to face a dilemmatic choice. Implementing a lockdown to control the spread of Covid-19 actually ravaged the economy. It had no other alternative to save the economic sector than by forcing implementation of ‘the new normal’. This paper describes phenomenologically the implementation of the new normal policy in Indonesia using qualitative methods by exploring opinions and news items in Kompas newspaper, particularly how the Indonesian government's is moving the economic sector without sacrificing public welfare. The government considers the new normal as the most realistic step given the economic pressure and uncertainty about when Covid-19 will end. Therefore, new normal has become the bonum commune policy during the pandemic. The main principle of new normal as a political bonum commune is adapting one’s lifestyle in accordance with the health protocol.

If that is the priority in weighing the mind and exploring the core of the perspective of thinking, of course, will move on to a "statement". Where the platform of thought will be the entrance and open a gap for other thoughts, because the thinking perspective finds the value of "abstract". The context of thinking is more about extracting the essence of thinking, so the value of art becomes abstract. The reality of the meaning of art is not only a question of form, but more than that, art will play freely about form. The basic theory of writing, using a qualitative frame of mind, using a curatorial approach. The form of virtue in art is actually not based on purely aesthetic values, but the depth of ideas as a way of "enlightenment" to determine the direction where we should be oriented. The result of this thought is, the continuity of artistic value is certainly constructed by; Awareness of the value of intensity, ethics-technique, psychology and full awareness of the essence of ideas (philosophy of art). So the perspective of virtue in art is the awareness of thinking about the abstraction of the universe itself, which is manifested in the form of works, namely the work of two dimensions of Text Art.

One important element is that learning can be accepted and understood easily so that the empowerment and development of traditional motifs, especially the Surakarta style, will experience development. Traditional motifs come from classical art or primitive art, but after receiving certain treatments, their benefits are preserved to meet needs, especially in terms of aesthetic needs. One of the motifs that are often found is those applied to wood craft products (wood carvings). The wood carving motifs in Indonesia have a rich variety of styles. The various forms of carving motifs each have their own characteristics according to the region. Like the Surakarta style carving motif, which is the focus of this study, it is known to have a strong and distinctive character that is needed by a series of actions in the framework of its preservation and development.
