Abstract

Background: Total number of smokers around the worldwide is approximately 140 million. The number of deaths caused by tobacco smoking related diseases is approximately 300,000 per year. Average age to start smoking is 17.6 years. The high number of smokers at young age indicates that public awareness of the dangers of smoking is still very low. This study aimed to determine the association between cigarette package warning messages, self-efficacy, and smoking behavior among students.Subject and Methods: This was an analytical observational study with cross sectional design, carried out in Surakarta, Indonesia. A total of 71 students at Polytechnic of health and sciences were selected by using random sampling technique. The dependent variable was smoking behavior. The independent variables were illustrated the dangers of cigarette smoking advertising and self-efficacy. The data was collected by questionnaire and analyzed by using regression logistic.Results: there is a relationship between an ad illustrated the dangers of cigarette smoking with smoking behavior (OR= 2.87; 95% CI= 0.91 to 9.03; p = 0.071). There is a relationship between the smoking behavior of yourself with the efficacy (OR = 0.23; 95% CI= 0.07 to 0.74; p = 0.013). The ads illustrated the dangers of cigarette smoking and self-efficacy was able to explain the smoking behavior of 16.2% and amounted to 83.8% explained by factors other than the research model.Conclusion: there is a connection between the ads illustrated the dangers of cigarette smoking and the smoking behavior of self-efficacy with the students.Keywords: cigarette package warning messages, self-efficacy, smoking behaviorCorrespondence: Roy Romey Daulas Mangunsong. Abstract

Background: Counseling on family planning and contraceptive use after deliverymay increase awareness of women to use contraceptives. Any use of contraceptives there are side effects, including in the use of contraceptives used in the uterus post placenta, side effects and failure was a factor that caused the acceptors are having dropped out of the methods used. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of counseling on willingness to use intra-uterine device contraceptive after delivery.Subject and Methods: This was a qualitative study with case studies carried out in Bantul Yogyakarta. A total of 3 midwives and 3 contraceptive use in the uterus post placenta acceptor Panembahan Senopati hospital. The dependent variable was health insurance participant. The independent was contraceptive used in the uterus post placenta. The data collected by interview, observation, document. The informant was 3midwifery and 3 acceptor of post placenta.Results: Socialization and counseling is done always accompanied and informed consent when the pregnancy inspection. Midwives play a role in counseling process by involving the husband as support for potential acceptors. Such side effects are still within the limits of reasonable expulse. Contraceptives used in the uterus post placentainstallation carried out by a competent midwife by SPO. Midwives provide education and counseling reset when the client still complained of side effects.Conclusion: Socialization and counseling potential acceptors are effective to increase willingness to use intra-uterine device contraceptive among the health insurance participants.Keywords: counseling, intra-uterine device contraceptiveCorrespondence: Ristiana Eka Ariningtyas. Abstract

Background: Management information system are intended to facilitate National Health Insurance (BPJS Kesehatan). This study aimed to evaluate the evaluation of the management information system so-called Primary Care (PCare) at the primary health care in the national health insurance program in Surakarta, Central Java.Subjects and Methods: This was a descriptive-qualitative study. This was carried out in four selected community health center in Surakarta in August-November 2016. The data was collected with observation and in-depth interviews, documentation and triangulation. The data was analyzed by data reduction,data presentation, and conclusion.Results: The application of PCare in Surakarta facilitated patient service. But there were some obstacle and error in the implementation of Pcare.Conclusion: Pcare in Surakarta does not run optimally. Abstract

Background: Family planning program is important to address population problem. However, there was some barrier confronting the family planning program.  This study was aimed to analyze the institutional and social factors that influence the acceptance of the family planning concept.Subjects and methods: This was a qualitative study with interactive analysis of a policy conducted in Tritih, Wetan, Jeruklegi, Cilacap. A total of head community empowerment Agency, women empowerment, children protection, family planning in Cilacap regency and extension officers in Tritih Wetan were selected by using snowball sampling. The data collected by in-depth interview, observation, analysis document. The data analyzed with a triangulation, included the collection of data, data presentation, data reduction, and the withdrawal of the conclusion.Results: The policy of family planning village have not provided significant influence towards the understanding of the concept of family planning society Tritih Wetan, Jeruklegi, Cilacap. Institutional factors against the acceptance of the concept of the family planning can be seen through the success indicator input aspect mentioned in the technical instructions of family planning village. In addition, the factors social, economic, and cultural barriers also affect the implementation of the policy of family planning village.Conclusion: The effectiveness of the implementation of the policy of family planning village in Tritih Wetan,Cilacap yet effective. Abstract

Background: The new cases of tuberculosis in 2014 as many as 9.6 million. There are 6 million cases reported findings. The efforts to increase the number of case finding through cooperate community and community health workers. This study aimed to analyze the association of education and health belief model with a performance of cadres in tuberculosis control.Subjects and Method: This was an observational analytic with a cross sectional design. This was conducted in community health center of Baki, Sukoharjo, Indonesia, in April 2016. A total of sample was 90 subjects were selected by random sampling. The data collection used questionnaire. The data were analyzed using path analysis.Results: There was no relationship between education and the performance of cadres in tuberculosis control cases through the perception of vulnerability, perceived seriousness, perceived benefit, perceived barriers and self-efficacy. There was a direct positive relationship between the perception of vulnerability to the performance of cadres in tuberculosis control cases (b = 3.35; 95% CI= 1.43 to 5.27; p=0.001), seriousness (b=2.21; 95% CI=0.43 to 3.9; p = 0.015), benefits (b= 2.11; 95% CI= 0.42 to 3.80; p = 0.014), self-efficacy (b = 2.04; 95% CI= -0.01 to 4.09; p = 0.051), the impulse to act (b = 1.64; 95% CI= 0.06 to 3.22; p= 0.042) with the performance of cadres in the control of tuberculosis cases. There was a direct negative relationship between perceptions of barriers to the performance of cadres in tuberculosis control (b=-4.54; 95% CI= -7.56 to - 1.52); p = 0.003).Conclusion: There is indirect relationship between education and performance of cadres in tuberculosis control cases through the perception of vulnerability, seriousness, benefits, barrier and self-efficacy. Abstract

Background: Data from the Ministry of Social Services Republic of Indonesia Social Ministry in 2009 showed there were 1,541,942 people with disability in the Indonesian population. Problems often arise regarding access to public-transportation services for people with disability. Despite the existence of UU No 4 in 1997 and UU No 25 in 2009 on accessibility for people with disability, public transport seemed to be poor for them. This study aimed to determine the public transport accessibility for people with disabilities and to provide alternative solutions.Subjects and Methods: This was a qualitative explorative study. Data were obtained from people with physical and mental disability, and provider (Division Head, Surakarta Public Transport Service Bureau). Data were analyzed using triangulation.Results: The local government of Surakarta has provided some transport facilities. However, these transport facilities are in low standard and non-accessible to people with disability. Transportation accessible to people with disability is not of priority. According to the provider this was because of limited budget. Consultation and coordination amongst the providers were on going in order to provide better transportation system accessible to people with disability.Conclusion: Transportation system was not accessible to people with disability. Abstract

Background: Human resources (HR) quality is a requirement of absolute attainment of development in all fields. Nutritional status of being one of the very important factors in the quality of human resources is mainly associated with intelligence, productivity and creativity. To achieve an optimum between flower growing by giving breast milk to infants from birth in the early minutes of life until the age of 6 months exclusive breast milk given without other food. This study was aimed to determine the cause of the low coverage of breast milk exclusively and the factors that affected it.Subject and methods: This was a case study with qualitative design, was carried out in July-August 2016 in Cilacap, Central Java. A total sample of parents with infants aged 7-24 months of age, the mother/mother-in-law and health workers. The data was collected by interviews, observation and documents, and analyzed with data presentation, data reduction, and the withdrawl of the conclusion.Results: Pre-disposing Factors good motivation, attitudes, education and employment of the informant was indeed affect Exclusive breast feeding in the process. Enabling Factors are readily available and easily accessible due to the support of the party giver services though in terms of infrastructure there are still shortcomings in various things. While Reinforcing factors demonstrates the role of health workers and the people closest to either mother or mother-in-law strongly affect the behavior ofthe mother in giving breast feedingexclusively. Restricting factors namely wrong beliefs about the incessant promotion of baby food, infant formula and health problems in the mother and the baby. In addition, the existence of the recording and reporting of less fit so that it affects the actual coverage figures in society.Conclusion: the cause of the low coverage of exclusive breast feeding include knowledge of mother/mother-in-law limited about breast milk exclusively, the role of health workers that is not optimal, the existence of a mistaken beliefs and culture in the community about BREAST MILK exclusively and recording and reporting factors that still need to be addressed so that Exclusive breast feeding data in accordance with the conditions in the community.Keywords: exclusive breast feeding, coverageCorrespondence: Pemi Sunarsih Ruhyana. Abstract

Background: Coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Kalibawang, Kulon Progo, Yogyakartawas 688 in mothers (69.8%)in 2015, which mean did not reach intended target set by Health Ministry of 80%. One of the factors that can affect the failure of exclusive breast feeding is the flurry of mother andstart working. This study was aimed to investigate the exclusive breast feeding lactation management of qualitative study on working mother.Subject and Methods: This was a qualitative study, conducted in Yogyakarta, in July-September 2016. A total of 12 mothers with breast feeding and start working and 4 midwives who came from four Posyandu in Kalibawang. The data collected using the in-depth interviews, observation, document, and the data analyzed was using interactive analysis Miles and Huberman.Results: The result showed that knowledge management of lactation nursing mothers on mother and started working pretty well. Lactation management socialization barriers still prevailing lack of consciousness of mothers against the practice of lactation management because of lack of support from family, while the barriers experienced by mothers and started working in the lactation management do was the lack of opportunity is flushed and the unavailability of facilities in the workplace, as well as the existence of the syndrome of exclusive breastfeeding for less.Conclusion: the implementation of lactation management on mom and started the work influenced factor, there is cake and family support.
