Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Guided Note Taking (GNT) learning model to the learning outcomes of science students in class VII in SMP Negeri 2 Lareh Sago Halaban District Academic Year 2017/2018. This type of research is an experiment. The population consists of class VII, amounting to 5 classes. Sampling is done randomly (random sampling). The selected sample is class VII.3 as the experimental class and class VII.5 as the control class. The instrument used as a data collection tool is a test. Data analysis techniques used t test, with acceptance criteria H1 if tcount> t table with α = 0.05. The results of data analysis obtained tcount = 2.88 and t table = 1.67, means tcount> t table so the hypothesis is accepted. In conclusion, there is a significant effect of the application of the Guided Note Taking (GNT) model to the learning outcomes of science students in class VII in SMP Negeri 2, Lareh Sago Halaban District. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of SETS-based modules in learning biology in Class X Man 1 Payakumbuh students. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study. The research instrument is a set of questions. Samples were taken by random sampling technique, the subjects of this study were all students of class X majoring in MIA MAN 1 Payakumbuh who were enrolled in the academic year 2017/2018 consisting of 2 classes. Data were analyzed by t test. The results showed that the learning outcomes of biology in class with SETS-based modules were significantly higher, where the average learning outcomes in the module class was 78.95, while the average learning outcomes in conventional classes was 69.47. T test results obtained th = 3.42 and tt = 1.68 (for α = 0.05) and tt = 2.42 (for α = 0.01). Means the hypothesis is accepted at 95% and 99% confidence level. Conclusion, biology learning outcomes in class using SETS-based modules are higher than class learning outcomes with conventional learning in class X MAN 1 Payakumbuh. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of amethyst seeds (Datura metel) as a bioinsecticide on the mortality of American cockroaches (Periplaneta americana). This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments are P0 0% bioinsecticide level, P1 baygon, P2 10%, P3 20%, P4 30%, and P5 40%. This research was conducted at the STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau Laboratory. The materials used in this study are old amethyst seeds, American cockroaches, water and baygon. Data collection was carried out by observation technique which was carried out in the first 4 hours of observation for 24 hours until the third day after treatment, then counted the number of dead cockroaches. Data analysis techniques with steps namely normality test, homogeneity test, Anava test and BNJ advanced test. Based on the calculation of the Anava Test one path can be calculated F (5,450)> F table (2.74) showed very significant results (α = 0.05). The results showed that there was an effect of amethyst seeds (Datura metel) as bioinsecticide on the mortality of American cockroaches (Periplaneta americana). In BNJ advanced test calculations, the concentration of 40% is significantly different from the concentrations of 10%, 20%, 30% and 0%. The optimum concentration of mortality of American cockroaches in the cone seeds at a concentration of 40%. Conclusion, there is a significant effect of amethyst seeds (Datura metel) as bioinsecticide on the mortality of American cockroaches (Periplaneta americana). Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of vegetation types in Bukit Cogong, Musi Rawas Regency based on composition, density of vegetation types. The population in this study were all plant species that exist in the Bukit Cogong vegetation of Musi Rawas Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the method used is the distance method (Point Centered Quarter), which measures the diameter of the type of vegetation of trees and shrubs closest to the sampling point. As for herbaceous vegetation using the distance method (point intercept), which is analyzing the type of herbaceous vegetation that is the fastest with the help of a point frequency frame tool. The procedure of this study refers to the area of ​​Bukit Cogong, Musi Rawas Regency, to determine the area of ​​the study area. The analysis used is density, frequency, dominance, important value index, and Shannon's diversity index and canopy stratification. The results obtained for tree level vegetation are 30 species, for bush vegetation found 16 species and for herbaceous vegetation found 17 species. The tree level diversity index in all study areas is in abundance. Conclusions, the bush level diversity index in the study areas A and B was moderate, while in the study area C the category was relatively abundant. Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is an attempt to uncover the concept of the missing link on human origins (the theory of evolution). Researchers want to stimulate the views of the Alpha generation to have another view, we know that most of the present generation still believes in the origin of living things from apes. The method used is the literature review method, the study is carried out on journals, books and other sources that are relevant and can be guaranteed its validity. Search results and studies, the authors found the concept if this theory has actually been questioned since the development of science in ancient Rome and Greece. Broadly speaking, this theory states that living things that exist in the world up to now are the result of the development of creatures that have existed before, both concerning structure and function, hereditary from generation to generation. Thus, the change which is the result of development takes place in a very long time, that is, millions of years along with the evolution of the universe. This theory is not entirely wrong, the problem is that the theory is only a theory that is not strengthened by physical evidence so that Darwin's theory is widely doubted from various circles. With the concept of Missing Link is one proof that humans do not originate from apes. This is due to the fact that no transitional creatures have been discovered from any changes that occur between species. In conclusion, the concept of the missing link becomes a reference to stimulate the generation of alpha in understanding the concept of evolution put forward by Darwin and refutes the process of the origin of man himself put forward in Darwin's theory of evolution. Abstract

This study aims to identify and see cases of genetic material misconceptions in class XII IPA SMA Negeri 09 Bengkulu City. This research is a descriptive study, the population in this study were all students of class XII Science SMA Negeri 09 Bengkulu City, totaling seven classes. The sampling technique was done by cluster sample and two classes were selected, namely class XII Natural Sciences 2 and class XII Natural Sciences 7. The total sample used was 91 students. Data collection techniques in this study were two-dimensional diagnostic test instruments consisting of 40 multiple choice questions with a level of confidence (CRI). The results showed there were students' misconceptions of Genetic material by 35.01%. Of the eight learning indicators there are three indicators with a high number of misconceptions, namely indicator 8 (describing the process of protein synthesis, 33.46%), indicator 5 (describing the structure of RNA, 36.84%), and indicator 2 (describing the relationship of cells, chromosomes , genes, with DNA, 37.45%). Based on the cognitive level of the test, students experienced the most misconceptions at C5 (evaluation, 41.94%). Conclusion, Misconceptions experienced by students in learning genetic material about gene expression are in 3 indicators which are the highest of 8 indicators, causes of misconception due to lack of reference sources or information, the concept of genetic substance concept that is abstract, many foreign terms, difficult language, and the unpreparedness of students in accepting material delivered by the teacher. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of kenikir leaf extract (Cosmos caudatus) on the mortality of Grayak Caterpillars (Spodoptera litura). This type of research is a laboratory experiment, with the design used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and five replications. The treatments were P0 + as a control, P1 with a concentration of 25%, P2 with a concentration of 50%, P3 with a concentration of 75%, and P4 with a concentration of 100%. Data analysis techniques with steps: normality test, homogeneity test and one way anova test. Research Results, based on the One Way Anava calculation, it was obtained that Fcount = 11.40 with Ftable = 4.43. then it can be stated that the value of Fcount> F table then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In the BNJ (Honest Significant Difference) test, the significance level of 1% of the effect of kenikir leaf extract on treatment A 25% (P1) was not significantly different from the concentration of 50% (P2) and 75% (P3), and at treatment D 100% (P4 ) is not significantly different from ACD, the treatment E (P0 +) is very significantly different from ABDE. Conclusion, there is a very significant effect of kenikir leaf extract (Cosmos caudatus) on mortality of armyworm caterpillar (Spodoptera litura), the higher the concentration of insecticide given, the higher mortality of armyworm caterpillar.

Abstract

This study aims to produce student worksheets based on macroscopic mushroom exploration in the Low Plant Taxonomy (TTR) course at STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau. South Sumatra that is feasible and effective. This research is a development study using the 4D development model from Thiagarajan. Research data in the form of macroscopic fungi, validation results from validators, student questionnaire responses, and tests were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. Based on exploration results, the macroscopic mushroom species identified were 24 species from 16 families, 7 genera, 2 classes and 2 divisions. The results of the analysis showed that the MFI developed was feasible (very valid), received positive responses from students with strong criteria, and the percentage of mastery learning was 92.3% with very high learning effectiveness criteria, Conclusions, Student Worksheets (LKM) developed were valid and feasible for student use, and has significantly high effectiveness in student learning in the Low Plant Taxonomy (TTR) course at STKIP-PGRI Lubuklinggau.
