Abstract

Tag based system has been used in many social media as a tool to differentiate interest between user. Using this system contents are managed specifically to the liking of each individual person. This software behaviour is very suitable for an announcement system where people are only interested in receiving announcement that they subscribe for. This paper will discuss the design and analysis of the tag-based system modified to supplement the academic announcement system. This paper will also implement the system on a web application to suplement multiple platform and a native mobile client. It is then concluded that the application is viable and beneficial for the user. Keywords—Announcement, Cross-platform, Push notification, Software development, Tag.

Abstract

Cleanliness is one of many other indicator that have to be held by a tourism destination. It mean that the tourism destination should be clean from garbage or any other dirty things. Indonesia is a tourism destination that have been known as a beautiful and humble country to be visited. As a tourism country, Indonesia should also give a big concern to the cleanliness issue. Various criticisms and suggestions always delivered to the manager or government of the tourist sites, but the response from them was null. There have to be a research to find out what is the root of the environment cleanliness problem and which part of the improvement that was missed. This study covers how to integrate all the stakeholder by using Information Technology in order to address the environment cleanliness issue. Existing policy established will be the basis for analyzing, designing, implementing, and evaluating a product in addressing the issues of garbage. The research is developed under the PEST and SWOT method, and using the Knowledge Management System. Visual Communication Media is a product that was built to help people in controlling the outstanding garbage. Information technology is built to become a medium in managing information related to garbage problems. Meanwhile, Counseling and Socializing is held to provide learning of the importance in maintaining hygiene. The integration of these things is monitored and evaluated to obtain a comprehensive improvement. Index Terms—Cleanliness, Information Technology, Knowledge Management System.

Abstract

The quality of education will affect the quality of the nation and state. Indonesia is a country whose quality of education still low, to improve education in Indonesia needed an educational system that is responsive to changes and demands of the times. E-learning for SMK Negeri 1 Bandung is intended to facilitate students and teachers in sharing material and digital information that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. This web-based application is designed using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) with Unified Modeling Language (UML) tools. And using prototype system development method that aims to in the process of design and the end result of the application made can be used in accordance with the needs of SMK Negeri 1 Bandung. With the construction of this e-learning students and teachers can share information whenever and wherever. Index Term―E-learning, Object Oriented Programming, and Prototype.

Abstract

Spam is an unexpected and unsolicited email sent randomly indiscriminately, directly or indirectly by the sender who has no connection whatsoever with the recipient. The purpose of spam itself is to send information to the recipient, where the content of the sent message generally contains ads that offer nonessential products or illegal products, scams, promotional purposes, or spreading malware designed to hijack computers receiver. Based on the background of the problem, it is necessary anti-spam on a chat or dissemination of information in social networking using regular expression. From this study, the behavioral intention to use at level of 80% means that the user agrees that this website increases user interest in obtaining information and communication, and generates an immersion level of 80% which means the user is very focused when using the website. This website generates value by 98% precision and 98% recall that produce harmonic mean value of 97% so that it can be concluded that it has the precision and recall value harmonious. Abstract

In a company, the process of employees recruitment and performance appraisal are very crucial. The recruitment is the first process which selects the potential employees that would meet the company’s pre-defined criteria. Meanwhile, the performance appraisal is a way to evaluate employees’ performances whether or not the employees have achieved the company’s goals. In PT. XYZ, both employee recruitment and performance appraisal processes were manually conducted. This manual process were indeed proned to many mistakes and unfair decisions. For that reason, an information system is indispensable to support the aforementioned processes. In this study, we have developed a web-based application which can support the recruitment and performance appraisal process. UML diagram version 2.4 and Rapid Application Development (RAD) with prototyping method were employed to support the development of our application. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method were also embedded in our application to select and rank the applicants based on several criteria in a more objective manner. The result of this study is a fully functional web-based application which is able to support, automate, as well as accelerate the recruitment and performance appraisal process at PT. XYZ. Abstract

Pemanfaatan TI sangat penting untuk penyampaian strategi dan visi utama bisnis sehingga mendukung aktivitas organisasi. PT X merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang plantation. PT X berkeinginan untuk mengetahui tingkat kapabilitas tata kelola TI mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan framework COBIT 5.0 dan Capability Level. Proses yang akan diuji adalah Ensure Governance Framework Setting and Maintenance, Ensure Benefits Delivery, Manage the IT Management Framework, Manage Strategy, Manage Enterprise Architecture, Manage Portfolio, Manage Human Resources, Manage Relationship, Manage Programs and Projects, dan Manage Requirements Definition. Target yang ingin dicapai oleh PT X adalah pada level 3 untuk proses Manage Strategy, sedangkan untuk proses yang lain ditargetkan pada level 2. Namun, hasil yang didapatkan tidak sesuai dengan ekspektasi yaitu Ensure Governance Framework Setting and Maintenance, Ensure Benefits Delivery, Manage the IT Management Framework, Manage Enterprise Architecture, Manage Portofolio, Manage Programmes and Projects, dan Manage Requirements Definition berhenti pada level 1. Sedangkan Manage Strategy, Manage Human Resources dan Manage Relationship berhenti pada level 2. Sehingga perusahaan masih harus melakukan perbaikan berdasarkan rekomendasi yang diberikan yang mendasar pada framework COBIT5.0. Kata kunci—Capability Level, COBIT 5.0, IT Framework, IT Governance.

Abstract

Abstract – The library.umn.ac.id is the library website which is owned by the Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. The website has never been examined with usability especially its user interfaces. In conducting the evaluation, the methods of usability tests are applied that is users’ observations of the website user interface design continued by collecting and analyzing data. In addition, data is collecting by creating a questionnaire which is based on System Usability Scale (SUS) to measure users’ satisfaction when using the system. The data is analyzed by applying usability test that refers to the theory of Jacob Nielsen (2003) which is composed of five components that are learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction. The results of this research, some new user interfaces are recommended for enhancing the library website that has been fully the old version. As a result, the user interfaces prototype is easy to use and easy to understand based on the students’ responses compared to the old version. Abstract

PT.Balai Lelang Bandung is a company in Bandung which is located at Ruko Maple Kav. G, Jl. Gn. Batu No. 201, Sukaraja, Cicendo, Bandung - West Java, provides services such as pre-auction, auction, and post auction. The registration process of tender participants is quite convoluted and takes a lot of time in the registration process either in terms of the auction participants or the auctioneer itself. The auction process is very time-consuming bidders themselves, where in conducting the auction, participants are required to attend directly to the auction so many prospective bidders who discontinue their intention to follow the auction process. In this design approach method is prototypemethod, while system development method using Unified Modeling Language (UML). Abstract

The object of research is PT. ABC. The company was founded in 2003, running a business as a distributor of sales products, such as multivitamins and supplements. Currently, PT. ABC is still not yet used a computerized sales information system between one process with another process. PT. ABC has difficulty data costumer archiving, finding data and the process of report presenting takes a relatively long time. The purpose of research is to analyzing the current information system and make an sales information system based application with adding sales return system which has complements fit up the product database. This application is expected to provide accurate information about the process of sales product health. The method used is qualitative research method through the study of literature, interview and observation. Analysis of current systems using the entity-relationship model (ERM). The design of system using the PHP language programming with a MySQL database. The results obtained from this study is a making a computerized database as of can make report with quickly, accurately and informative. Abstract

Web service is actually a collection of functions and methods contained on a server that can be called by the client remotely, then to call those methods we are free to use applications that will be created with any programming language that run on any platform. The existence of web service technology can bridge the technological differences of each source. The purpose of this system design is to build a mediation system that can integrate different information systems platforms, databases and functions, so that can communicate between systems. Software development methods used include three main parts of the method of analysis, design and literature study. Methods of analysis include the collection of data using samples, learning on existing systems, and analysis of the results of interviews aimed at the parties concerned. Design method using Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach. The result is a system-based mediation system design using the SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) protocol.
