Abstract

Drug abuse in Indonesia has reached an alarming level. The largest proportion of drug abusers in 2017 was the group of private workers and laborers, which was 59%. BNNK Batam in collaboration with trade unions and academics conducted a workshop with the theme of strategies and policies on Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics (P4GN) in creating anti-drug activists in the work environment. The purpose of this workshop is so that the participants can become BNN activists in the local environment. The strategies that must be carried out by the company and the trade unions themselves in P4GN's efforts in the work environment include: conducting medical tests for employees; drug testing for employees suspected of being addicts, intensive information dissemination and advocacy to provide education to workers; Trade unions must encourage their members to be active in P2K3, include drug problems in the collective labor agreement (PKB), and for employees: active in spiritual activities, nature lover activities, social activities, in sports activities, trade union activities, adequate rest and relaxation with family on holidays.

Abstract

Horticultural commodities are potential commodities with high economic value and can continue to be developed and shallots are a source of livelihood for the agricultural community. The purpose of this PKM - PM is to provide solutions to maximize potential so that it becomes something of high economic value so as to improve a better standard of living. The partner is the “Sri Kuning” farmer group in the village of Polagan Galis Pamekasan. The PKM – PM method is community empowerment by providing assistance to produce processed products which are the village's superior products. The results of this PKM – PM include: 1. Creating processed products that become the village's superior products; 2. Understanding of digital marketing for marketing expansion; 3. Can determine a competitive selling price; and 4. Utilizing and maximizing the potential of the village so as to create zero waste of raw materials.

Abstract

Integrating science concepts with real contexts, including the COVID-19 context, is essential in the learning process to become meaningful. As one of the public education, schools are expected to provide students with generic skills on dealing with a pandemic using the concepts learned at school. Training on integrating science concepts with real contexts in learning was carried out to teachers and students at Junior High School 08 Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. Training was conducted through ICARE (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, and Extend). The results show that teachers can integrate science concepts with the COVID-19 context. These concepts are respiratory organs, blood cells, antibodies, vaccines, and healthy life. After the activity, the teacher designed science lessons plan to integrate concepts with the previously discussed context. It is hoped that the science learning carried out will be meaningful so that students no longer feel bored participating in learning, especially online learning.

Abstract

Rupat Island located at a coastal area of Riau Province, generally coastal areas are identical with the availability of clean water. The low availability of clean water has a negative impact on all sectors. The water used by students and teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Rupat comes from a ring well which tastes salty and brackish. Problems in the health sector are the availability of clean water that is suitable for consumption, education is insufficient equipment for Physics Experiments, in the economic field, family spending increases due to the availability of bottled water, and the field of community empowerment has not maximized the use of natural resources. The solution for this aspect is technological innovation that is able to meet the need for clean water in the long term by utilizing existing potential, one of which is the manufacture of a sea water purifier, a giant measuring 4x4 meter. The tool's fundamental working principle is to evaporate the air first and then collect the condensed water to separate the mineral salts and contaminants from the seawater. The author has made a seawater purifier measuring 48x38 cm as a medium for high school physics learning in 2021 with a TKT 5.

Abstract

Education methods has been used in this community service to deliver education topic of diseases in egg laying ducks. Whereas the disease could give impact on egg laying ducks reproductions due to decreasing in laying egg. Introduction of diseases, prevention, and how to handling are the important factors to understand in order to increase eggs laying. Especially the diseases that had been infected their egg laying ducks in Gama Farm. How they solve the problems, the obstacles in doing treatment and what have they did in preventing the diseases before they get education and information about the diseases in this community service. In field we costumized the education topic with the community experience. The indicator of successful in delivering diseases counselling and their knowledge improvement was from how they understand about the diseases that they had been face it, their ability to explaine what the causes and the prevention. We used analytics approachment to analyse their knowledge improvement, based on our result discussion of their experience, before and after the community service activities. The solution for community receive after activities, they start to clean the equipment and their selves by using disinfectant during farming. The result from this service were given benefit to the community about the knowledge in doing diseases prevention by maintan the higiens sanitation on cleanness of the equipment, food resource, environment, and control the parasites and bacterial regulary.
