Abstract

AbstractTriangulation   is  the  application  and  combination  of  several research methodologies  in the study of the same phenomenon. It can be  employed  in  both  quantitative(validation) and  qualitative(inquiry) studies,  a method-appropriate strategy of founding  the credibility  of qualitative analyses,  becomes an alternative to " traditional criteria  like reliability and validity"  and the preferred line in the social sciences.By  combining   multiple   observers,  theories,   methods,   and empirical  materials,  researchers can hope to overcome the weakness or  intrinsic  biases  and the problems  that come  from single method, single-observer, single-theory  studies.  There  are  four  basic  type  of triangulation:  data  triangulation,  involving time,  space, and  persons; investigator  triangulation,  which  consist of the use of multiple,  rather than  single  observers;  theory  triangulation,  which  consists  of  using more   than   one   theoretical   scheme   in   the   interpretation   of   the phenomenon;  methodological triangulation, which involves using more than  one  method   and  may  consist  of  within-method   or  between- method strategies.

Abstract

The increasing number of two-wheelers in the capital Jakarta from year to year, causing the capital’s streets eachday in both the morning rush hour when people like to start their daily activities and at the time at dusk or in theevening before the public knew back home after activity packed by a two-wheeled vehicle or motorcycle. The riskof accident was definitely always there in times like these where the riders start to feel tired. The good conditionof the eyes or other body parts, in this case highlights the tabloid MotorPlus more about eye conditions can causeaccidents, because the eyes need full concentration while driving, the concentration of reduced eye sensitivityberkuarang concentration also other limbs, because it took the eyes of dark adaptation and light and vice versa.In this study the authors wanted to see how tabloid MotorPlus framing the reality of frequent accidents when drivingat dusk, especially in Jakarta. This research is based by the constructionist paradigm that highlight aspects ofreality by the media. So the researchers used a qualitative research is the description that only describe a situationor event, make a picture and framing analysis by Robert N entman.Results of this study found that framing MotorPlus tabloid news of the frequent accidents when driving at dusk asseen small but big impact and should be known by bikers, that the eye may also be the cause of the accident in additionto the lack of knowledge to drive properly and correctly, ( lack of driving skills in driving individual skills),as well as physical strength and stamina after seharrian activity, due to the motor driving all members onggotabody moves, and all require concentration.Seen from tabloid news motorplus just looking for the appropriate resource persons in such bidanngnya Ditlantas,NGOs, ministries of transportation. Although community and non-governmental organizations have socialized ondriving safety to the community and the individual rider. Did not rule out the community members and individualriders infallible.

Abstract

For some people in Indonesia to discuss the word - the word lesbian istaboo, where it becomes something that is prohibited by religion and culture in Indonesia. Its existence is recognized as a reality within the society and cause a variety of reactions by the surrounding environment. To obtain recognition of the existence of identity aslesbian from surrounding communities, lesbians should be involved in the process of social interaction. When lesbians express themselves and interact through interpersonal communication there must be pressure - felt a certain pressure to decide what will be disclosed and what should be kept secret. Furthermore, the impression management theory and identity theory stating whether they are acceptable or not with the impression that theymake and their true identities. Theory of communication privacy settings / Communication Privacy Management (CPM) said there were risks and rewards generated by the decisions made for the people with whom lesbians interact. The study looked at how lesbians about themselves and then observe how lesbians interact with people around them that are formed in their social interaction through the case study method. Based on this research, some lesbians can express themselves in the community through symbolic interaction. The results showed some lesbians may declare himself to the community through symbolic interaction. Lesbians who have an understanding of positive self-concept is easier to open up or do a good communication with the public. With the boundaries of private information and within the boundaries of their collective acceptable and appreciated. In general, in the lesbian community or same-sex interaction only they can interact well, of course, with a gesture, a look, a signal- specific signals that can only be understood by his people along with its own language. The conclusion of this study noted that the symbolic interaction lesbians want to show to the surrounding environment, that lesbiansare interesting person and want to get acceptance or acknowledgment by a symbol - a symbol that they have. Suggestions on this research to the public is able to see that the potential of lesbians and lesbian people should look is part of the environment and respecting the environment and not ostracized.

Abstract

This study of the society and culture of Betawi.  Based on the historical analysis of anthropological stretched thread of community development Betawi culture. Views on the Betawi ethnic descendants of slaves based on demographic data from the government of Batavia. The phenomenon of interpersonal communication in the context of personal communication multiethnic cultural association in the city, does not necessarily occur after Indonesian independence and became the capital city of Jakarta. This study revealed that while the growth of the city as the center of government, business and international relations, the existence of Kampung Betawi Situ Babakan become an important and strategic for the development of arts and culture as an identity Betawi Jakarta. The phenomenon of multi-ethnic association in Jakarta, especially those conducted by the Betawi people have lasted for generations of their ancestors.
