Abstract

This research is based upon the student's understanding of the problems still low about the dangers of smoking. As for the goal to be achieved is to know the teacher's guidance and counselling efforts in improving student understanding about the dangers of smoking in SMA Negeri 6 Padangsidimpuan academic year 2015-2016 located on JL. Sutan Soripada Noble No. 25 a. Teacher guidance and counselling is an informant in this research. On the research of this kind of research used the qualitative case study method. Qualitative research i.e. research methods were used to examine the conditions of natural objects, where the researcher as a key instrument. Engineering data collection done in triangulation (combined) that is doing the observation (observation), interview (interview), the study of documentation and a combination of the three. Based on the results of interviews with informants researchers HS (BK teacher), the efforts of teacher guidance and counselling in improving student understanding about the dangers of smoking in this school is by granting the existing services in the guidance and counselling as well as supporting activities. Furthermore, efforts are being made to reduce the problem of students who smoke in the school environment this is the strict sanctions, the granting of services on the issue of smoking. But even though the school has given strict sanctions in cooperation between teachers BK with parents is very important to help alleviate this problem. Because without the support of parents the school will not get over it in full this time because the students more in the family environment. BK teacher has made the program planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring and assesment in student improve understanding about the dangers of smoking. In this case we as teachers BK has made the annual program planning, semiannual, monthly, weekly up to daily. As for the results of our efforts as a teacher in improving students ' understanding of BK on the danger of smoking was already beginning to look in stages where it can be known once given services, guidance and direction from the teacher area students problem BK has begun to wane. Probably because our teacher BK already gives a description of smoking, and the dangers therein.

Abstract

The study is based on the problem still lower students' knowledge of moral development in the school environment in general, the researchers are "Whether a student can understand the moral development through information services? Which is formulated as follows: Does the implementation of information services can be to boost the morale of students in MTs. Muhammadiyah 10 Kotanopan objective to be achieved is that students acquire an image of increased knowledge of the moral good in MTs. Muhammadiyah 10 Kotanopan. The method used is experimental research that will be used in the form of Pre Experiment Design with pretest-posttest Experiment Group Design. With a sample experimental class is class VII1 many as 26 students and classes that control VII2 class is 20 students. Information services conducted four meetings, the first meeting to implement the pretest and posttest implement all treatments. From the results of operations to be carried, there was a considerable improvement, especially the second meeting of the findings in the experimental group there were significant increases between posttest results. To test the hypothesis used by the formula Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test by using SPSS version 20 o'clock ujiwilcoxon used to analyze the results of observations from the two data are different or not. The average variable for understanding the moral development of 160.0769 (experiment) while 161.0500 (control) have seen a very significant difference. It is advisable for teachers to give students an understanding on the development of good morals in order to develop further, both in learning, implementation and evaluation of learning. For further research, is expected to make a research on moral development through other methods.

Abstract

The use of feedback in learning English process is interesting to be analyzed. Although it does not add much to the proportional explaining and giving instruction, but it still has much contribution to learning English process. This paper explores the teachers’ feedback (content and corrective feedbacks) in learning English process at SMAN 1 Sungai Tarab. Data were collected throughobservation and audio recording which involved 5 English teachers. All lessons were recorded and transcribed. The analysis of the transcripts revealed that almost all the types of content feedback were utilized by the teachers. And there were two types of corrective feedback neglected by the teachers. It is recommended that stakeholder of education or government should conduct some seminars related to the use of content and corrective feedbacks.Key words: Teacher Talk, Teachers’ Feedback, Learning Process.

Abstract

The research is based on the problem of the low student motivation in the school environment and the general problem of this research is "How to increase student motivation through counseling services engineering group play" ?. Which is formulated as follows: (1) How student motivation before being given counseling services group playing techniques in experimental and control groups? (2) How student motivation is given after counseling services group playing techniques in experimental and control groups? (3) How is the effectiveness of guidance services group playing techniques to improve students' motivation ?. The goal is to obtain a picture of the increase in students' motivation in MAN Padang through group counseling services playing techniques. The method used in this research is True experimental design with shapes pretest-posttest control group design. With a sample of experimental class is a class of 10 students Xc and Xd control class is the class of 10 students so as the total sample of 20 students. Group counseling services are conducted three meetings, the first meeting prestest implement and execute all posttest.Data treatment were analyzed using the Wilcoxon rank test and kolgomorov signesd smirnov 2 with the help SPPS version 20.00. From the results of the implementation is done, a significant increase is mainly posttest eksperimen.Hasil findings in the experimental group and the control group there were significant increases between konrol posttest and posttest results of the experiment. The average variable students' motivation at 157.7000. (posttest experiment) while the control group 155.2000. (posttest control) is visible difference signifikan.Hasil processing of the data, indicate that the implementation of guidance services group play technique can enhance students' motivation in class X MAN Padang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian yang ingin dicapai adalah sebagai berikut : 1) meningkatkan penguasaan konsep hubungan pengambilan keputusan bersama dengan menggunakan alat peraga berupa gambar dan benda–benda di sekitar; 2) mencari informasi keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran PKn tentang Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia; 3) mendiskripsikan penerapan metode bermain peran dengan model cooperative Leraning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pengambilan keputusan bersama siswa kelas V SD Negeri 0718 Pir Trans Sosa I B. Setelah peneliti melaksanakan perbaikan pembelajaran melalui pembelajaran siklus I dan siklus II dengan materi Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia di kelas V semester I tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 di SD Negeri 0718 Pir Trans Sosa I B. Maka penulis dapat mengambil kesimpulan bahwa upaya meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan metode bermain peran melalui pendekatan model cooperative learning dengan mengefektifkan alat peraga kebudayaan dan globe telah mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Peningkatan ini terjadi pada siklus I maupun siklus II dengan bukti adanya peningkatan pada : 1) menggunakan media  pembelajaran kebudayaan dan globe dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia; 2) model pembelajaran cooperative learning melalui penerapan metode bermain peran untuk dengan mengefektifkan alat peraga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa; 3) Prosentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan setelah dilakukan perbaikan pembelajaran pada evaluasi sebelum perbaikan pembelajaran ada 12 siswa atau 52% dari 23 siswa. Pada perbaikan pembelajaran siklus I meningkat, siswa yang nilainya 75 keatas menjadi 16 atau 69% dari jumlah 23 siswa dan pada perbaikan siklus II menjadi 22 siswa atau 96%.

Abstract

This research was initiated by the fact that was no self esteem in students based on their environmental condition.there were several factors influencing this condition;they were peer, past experience, mindset, gender, social status. Achievement, value, belief, and parenting. The objectives of this research were describing self esteem, describing social attitude, understanding the correlation betwewn self esteem and social attitude, and understanding its implication on guidance and counseling services. This research used quantitave method with correlational descriptive type.population of this research was 248 students of SMA Adabiah II Padang. Its samples were 186 students who were chosen with random sampling technique. The result revealed that generally students self esteem was in low category, students social attitude was in medium category, meanwhile, the correlation between self esteem and social attitude was negative in which r count ≤ r table, so Ho was accepted or independent variable had no significant correlation with dependent variable. Concering its implication, guidance and counseling services could be carried out in the form of information services, content mastery, and students group guidance services conducted for each class. It was expected that this implication can be used as an input for guidance and counseling teachers in order to improve the students self esteem and their social attitude.

Abstract

The study is based on the problem of juvenile delinquency levels are still students in the school environment, and the general problem of this research is "how juvenile delinquency through group counseling services to reduce juvenile delinquency students of SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan". The purpose of this research is to find out how the students' understanding of juvenile delinquency before and after the given group counseling services in SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The location of this research in SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidmpuan year 2015-2016 Doctrine located at Jln Tengku rijal Nurdin.kilo meter 7 Average time of research conducted over two (2) months. The study population numbering as many as 254 students and the sample is about 20 students. Based on the problems and objectives, this type of research is quantitative research in the form of True Experimental Design. Data collection tool is questionnaire. Analysis of the data in this study is the technique of Wilcoxon signed rank test data (Wilcoxon Signed Rank test) using SPSS version 20.00. The findings in the experimental group and the control group there is a significant drop between the results and posttest posttest control experiment. The average variable deviant behavior of students at 155.0000 (posttest experiment) while the control group amounted to 140.9000 (posttest control). It looks a very significant difference. The results show that the data processing control juvenile delinquency through group counseling services can reduce students' understanding of juvenile delinquency in class VII-5 SMP Negeri 8 Padangsidimpuan. The conclusion of these results show that the control of juvenile delinquency through group counseling services can reduce juvenile delinquency in class VII SMP Negeri 8 padangsidimpun

Abstract

This thesis entitled "Implementation Information Services To Reduce Smoking Habits of Students at SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan" preparation of this paper is motivated importance of knowledge about the dangers of smoking in adolescence and how to reduce the smoking habits of students in SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan.Peneitian aims to determine clearly whether there is provision Implementation Information Services To Reduce Smoking Habits of Students at SMK Negeri 1 Padangsidimpuan academic year 2014/2015. The author takes the object of research in the whole class X SMK 1 Padangsidimpuan totaling 513 people. Given the large population, the authors define the majority of the population being sampled study of 60 people that is based on grade level (stratified sampling), then the determination samples of each class carried out by random sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire.The method used was Quasi Experimental Desaign with nonequivalent control group design shape desaign. Data collection techniques using a Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using the program Excel and SPSS version 20 using the Wilcoxon signed rank test and one sample kolmogrov Smirnov test. The research results can be researchers in the experimental class and control class 75.4 77.4. Test the hypothesis produce the experimental class Z on pretest-posttest with a value of -3.194 and signed pretest-posttest worth 0.01. While in the control group Z on the pretest-posttest with a value of -3.138 and signed pretest-posttest worth 0.02. At posttest posttest control experiment and signed (2-tailed) experimental class 538 and class 566 controls.In conclusion there was an increase in signefikan between pretest and posttest experiment as well as the pretest and posttest control. But the results of experimental studies hump higher than the control class. Suggestions for school research is to continue to support the provision of information services to all students.

Abstract

Pencapaian kompetensi mata kuliah pendidikan IPA menunjukkan hasil yang belum optimal. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah kurang efektifnya strategi pembelajaran serta minimnya penggunaan media yang digunakan dosen dalam proses pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran mata kuliah pendidikan IPA harus dilaksanakan dalam suasana belajar yang menyenangkan agar dapat memotivasi dan mendorong keaktifan belajar mahasiswa sehinggapencapaian kompetensi dapat ditingkatkan. Strategi pembelajaran Gasing merupakan salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang dipandang efektif untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran Gasing berbantukan animasi terhadap pencapaian kompetensi mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pendidikan IPA di Program Studi PGSD Universitas Dharmas Indonesia pada ranah pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan.Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental Research) dengan rancangan penelitian berupa Randomized Control Group Only Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD Universitas Dharmas Indonesia yang mengambil mata kuliah Pendidikan IPA. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes tertulis hasil belajar untuk ranah pengetahuan, pengamatan/observasi untuk ranah sikap, pengamatan kerja kelompok, dan tes unjuk kerja untuk ranah keterampilan. Teknik analisis data penelitian adalah uji hipotesis melalui uji t pada taraf nyata 0,05 untuk ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis kerja yang berbunyi ” terdapat pengaruh yang berarti penerapan strategi pembelajaran Gasing berbantukan animasi terhadap pencapaiankompetensi mahasiswa pada mata kuliah pendidikan IPA prodi PGSD Universitas Dharmas Indonesia pada ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan secara kuantitatif” dapat diterima pada taraf nyata 0,05.Dengan demikian, strategi pembelajaran Gasing berbantukan animasi dapat meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa pada ranah pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan.Kata Kuci: Strategi, Gasing, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Terpadu

Abstract

The research is based on the problems low emotional intelligence of students. The purpose of research is to gain an overview of the increase emotional intelligence of students through the Guidance Services Group at SMA Negeri 10 Padang. True experimental research design with pretest-posttest form Control Group Design. With a sample of experimental class is class XI IPA U-1 class of 10 students and control is of class XI IPA U-2 as many as 10 students so as the total sample of 20 students. In experiments conducted classes meeting three times. While the control class three meetings. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov z with SPSS version 20.00. From the results of the implementation is done, there was a significant increase is mainly posttest experimental class. The findings in the experimental group and the control group there were significant increases between the posttest and posttest control group experimental class. On average variable emotional intelligence of 120.50 (posttest experiment) while the control group 107.00 (posttest control) this looks very significant difference. The conclusion of this study indicate that the effectiveness of group counseling services can improve emotional intelligence of students in grade XI SMA Negeri 10 Padang
