Abstract

Abstract In this paper, we discuss a dynamical behavior of Predator-Prey with ratiodependent, refuge in prey, and harvest from predator. Model reconstruction isorganized by adding the refuge control in prey with the values 0  m  1, and linearpredator harvesting. The aim of analysis is to describe the equilibrium points andtheir stability. In analysis, the possible fixed points are the prey extinction, thepredator extinction, and predator-prey coexists. By using linearization, thestability of predator extinction point is unstable, and the prey extinction point, coexists point becomes stable with certain condition. Finally, the dynamicalsimulation show that the trajectories of solution convergent to their stability, andthe refuge strategy suitable to avoid the extinction of prey.Key Word: Dynamic Behavior, Predator-Prey, Predation, Refuges, Harvest

Abstract

Abstract Facial expression recognition is one of the challenging tasks in computervision. In this paper, we analyzed and improved the performances bothhandcrafted features and deep features extracted by Convolutional NeuralNetwork (CNN). Eigenfaces, HOG, Dense-SIFT were used as handcrafted features.Additionally, we developed features based on the distances between faciallandmarks and SIFT descriptors around the centroids of the facial landmarks, leading to a better performance than Dense-SIFT. We achieved 68.34 % accuracywith a CNN model trained from scratch. By combining CNN features withhandcrafted features, we achieved 69.54 % test accuracy.Key Word: Neural network, facial expression recognition, handcrafted features

Abstract

Abstract To evaluate the success of the Kotaku program (City Without Slums) in PNPM Mandiri in Deli Serdang Regency, a study is needed to determine the level of community satisfaction with the results of the Kotaku program. Then in this study, a decision support system will be built to assist in determining the level of community satisfaction with the Kotaku program. The method chosen to support the above problem solving is Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). The system design is done by using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modelling and accompanied by a system interface design. The advantage of this system is that it can perform calculations very quickly and effectively. This decision support system shows that with the advancement of science and technology it can help in determining the right level of community satisfaction by following the correct considerations and calculations. But there are still some weaknesses of the system including this system has a simple interface and does not have the feature to backup the database.

Abstract

The core concept of fractals is the process of rearranging identical components that have a large amount of self-similarity. One example of fractals is the Sierpinski trianglecan be generated using the chaos game method. This method is a form of play in drawing points on triangles that have certain rules and are repeated iteratively. This research will modify the rules of chaos game triangle with the addition of various rotationswith the center of rotation at one, two, three, four, and five reference points. The visual results obtained are in the form of fractals because they have self-similarity properties and a collection of new points formed experiences rotation with the center of rotation based on the selected reference point with the direction of rotation based on the rules. The visual results of the rotation θ angle are visually symmetrical about the axis-y with the visual results of the rotation 360⁰-θ  angle at one, three, four, and five reference points as the center of rotation. At two reference points as the center of rotation it is obtained that there are two parts that are visually symmetrical about a certain line. Visual results of rotation 360⁰ angles at one, two, three reference points as the center of rotation have a shape similar to the Sierpinski triangle. Whereas at four and five points of reference as the center of rotation has a shape similar to the Sierpinski triangle.

Abstract

In determining an academic majors, the mere information about the departments is not sufficient as the base of taking the decision as one would only know popular majors without being aware of his/her potential. There are also limited recommendations obtained through counseling guidance. By using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Multi-Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) methods, prospective students get the recommendations of academic majors by putting their preference criteria for the majors. The criteria used are affordable study costs, accreditation of majors, department facilities, student potential to the majors, student interest in majors, future goals, parental advice, self-desire, peer influence, report card scores, previous achievements, passing grade majors and length of study. The Spearman's Rank Correlation method was used to determine the results of the correlation ranking recommendations from the teacher (guidance and counseling teacher) and the system where the weights obtained from the teacher (guidance and counseling teacher) and from the students who filled it through the system. Based on the correlation of the system ranking with the guidance and counseling teacher ranking to 25 students majoring in Natural sciences class XII, the average value of accuracy was 88% with a standard deviation of 0.13. As for the students majoring in social sciences, the average value of accuracy was 97% with a standard deviation of 0.03. From this research, it can be concluded that the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Multi Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) methods can be used in helping to solve decision-making problems in the recommendation system of academic majors.
