Abstract

Estimates are important tools in effective and efficient planning for predicting future events. Identical estimates of the future values of a variable for planning or decision making of a situation to estimate future values. Monte Carlo simulation is a simulation model that involves a series of random and sampling with a probability distribution that can be known and determined, then this simulation can be used. In this study, data is taken from the amount of water usage in PDAM Tirtanadi H.M branch. Yamin, North Sumatra from January 2018 to June 2019. Then, the data is processed and analyzed using Monte Carlo Simulation to determine the forecast results in the years that follow. The result is an estimated amount of water usage in 2019 and 2020 at PDAM Tirtanadi H.M branch. Yamin, North Sumatra is 8,604,556 and 8,592,873. The estimated amount of water use is down from the amount of water use in 2018 which reached 8,685,356. The amount of water usage in 2018, 2019 and 2020 decreases by about .

Abstract

PT Graha Prima Mentari is a company engaged in the service sector, namely as the official distributor of Coca-Cola. PT. Graha Prima Mentari has Distribution Centers spread across various cities including those located in the cities of Cirebon, Indramayu, Tasikmalaya, Pekanbaru, Medan, Denpasar, Rembang and others. For branches in the city of Medan PT. Graha Prima Mentari is located at Jalan Gatot Subroto KM 6.7 No. 100 Fields. PT. Graha Prima Mentari has 13 transportation cars that operate from Monday to Saturday and serve 6 areas, namely Medan Barat, Medan Sunggal, Medan Helvetia, Medan Selayang, Medan Tuntungan and Medan Petisah. The problem that occurs is that the company has not determined the optimal route which results in additional costs for the distribution of goods. This study aims to minimize the distance by using the ant colony optimization method. The result obtained is that the distribution distance is reduced by 52 km from the previous distance of 93.1 km to 41.1 km and saves distribution costs of Rp.49,000.

Abstract

The most commonly-causing disease in developing countries is tuberculosis (TBC or TB). Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an analysis that can be accepted individually or scientifically on the problem of transmission of tb tuberculosis cases in developing countries. One of them can be viewed in the form of a mathematical model. By dividing the human population into 3 groups, namely the group of susceptible individuals (susceptible to disease), hordes of infective individuals (infected with disease), and groups of recovered individuals (cured derived from disease) that's how the SIR model describes the dynamics of the spread of infectious diseases. Therefore, critical point analysis, eigen value and basic reproduction ratio are needed. Then test the parameter analysis by simulating the runge kutta method order 4, from the results of the analysis conducted we will find the rate of transmission and cure rate which is the most influential thing on the spread of tuberculosis (TBC). Thus from the occurrence of epidemics that form or decrease the rate of transmission and increase the cure rate of tuberculosis disease transmission can be controlled.

Abstract

The development of an increasingly fast and instant era in this millennial era, makes electronic devices, especially laptops, also experience very fast and extensive development. The capacity of a laptop is closely related to the price of a laptop, if the capacity of the laptop is higher, the price of the laptop will also be higher, and vice versa if the capacity of the laptop is lower, the price of the laptop will also be lower. each laptop offers different features of each type and gives each type a unique look and shape. This is what makes students and the public confused about which laptop to choose according to their wishes and the money budget they have so that they don't make the wrong choice in determining the type of laptop that students and the community want later. On this basis, a study was made that is used in making decisions on laptop selection using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. This research was conducted to find out how the decision support system in choosing a laptop that suits the needs and economic conditions for students and the community.

Abstract

The currency of each country is different, resulting in difficulties in transacting between one country and another. So it takes a currency exchange process to facilitate a transaction process between countries called the Exchange Rate. However, exchange rate volatility can threaten the economy of a country. Therefore, a prediction of the exchange rate is needed so that investors or the public can determine strategies or plans for future economic policies. Therefore, this study aims to find the ARIMA model that has the best performance in predicting the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar. So that this model can be a reference for investors and the public in investing in shares with other countries. The results of this study obtained the best model, namely the ARIMA model (0, 1, 1) to predict the exchange rate for the next 20 periods with the help of eviews9 software.

Abstract

The optimization model is one of the systems analysis models identified with operation research. The transportation method is part of a linear program that is used to organize and distribute resources that provide products to places where they are needed to achieve transportation cost efficiency. The working principle of the Least Cost method is to give allocation priority that has the smallest unit cost (the smallest unit cost). The MODI (Modified Distribution) method is a method of solving transportation cases developed from the Stepping Stone method. This research was conducted at PT. Mabar Feed Indonesia which is engaged in the feed sector. This study aims to determine minimizing transportation costs at PT. Mabar Feed Indonesia which will later become input for the company. The results showed that the transportation cost before minimization was Rp . Then the costs incurred after using the Least Cost method in the initial solution amounted to Rp . After using the Least Cost method, the final solution is to make MODI more optimal and the total transportation cost is Rp .

Abstract

Employee performance appraisal system is a system used to assess the best performance of employees. PT Graha Prima Medan performs the best performance assessment of employees to evaluate, verify and improve their performance. The results of this performance become a decision-making tool such as promotion, dismissal, transfer, intensive giving or providing feedback for employees. However, the large number of employees who will be selected becomes an obstacle in assessing employee performance, because it is expected that an automation process uses technology to evaluate the performance of these employees. The purpose of this study is to design an employee performance appraisal system at PT Graha Prima Mentari Medan. The method used is the SAW method, the basic concept of the SAW method is to find the weighted sum of the performance ratings for each alternative on all attributes. The SAW method can help decision making to form the largest value as the best alternative. The assessment in the research that has been carried out uses 5 criteria including: Attendance, Attitude, Time Discipline, Working Period and Quantity using the SAW method. In this study, testing was carried out on 36 respondent data. The employee performance appraisal system was developed using the PHP (Pre-Hypertext Processor) programming language, and the MySQL database as the database server.
