Technological advances continue to develop rapidly and people need technology that is more efficient and faster in their work, including in the field of agriculture. Therefore, simulation is a suitable way to be implemented in the scope of modern society. This study aims to reduce the number of research and experimental trials in the laboratory because it takes a lot of time and money. This research refers to a simulation of decreasing levels of ascorbic acid in guava fruit during the storage period which is carried out by presenting data obtained from various sources, programming and simulation design using Visual Basic 6.0 and program testing. Guava fruit (Psidium guajava L) has vitamin C content about 183.5 mg / 100 grams of material. The test results of this program, within 10 days of storage at room temperature (25oC) the levels of Ascorbic Acid in Guava fruit decreased by 56.1% and decreased levels of Ascorbic Acid by 92.26%, from 183.5 mg / 100 gr to around 12, 84 mg / 100 gr guava fruit for 720 hours. Therefore, the results of this simulation program succeeded in approaching the real number of decreases in ascorbic acid levels tested in original observations.

The production of patchouli oil refining the largest waste in Indonesia. But still has high nutrient content and can be used as liquid organic fertilizer. To increase the efficiency of the formation of liquid fertilizer from patchouli waste requires the role of EM4 bioactivator and chicken manure. The study aims to determine the production of liquid organic fertilizer froom potchouli waste with EM4 bioactivator and the addition of chicken manure as well as to analyze the effect of fermentation time and EM4 solution to obtain maximum N, P, K content. The results showed that there were some effect of fermentation time and variable of EM4 on NPK content. The maximum solution of N in the variable 8% EM4 solution with fermrntation time of 3 days was 0.34%. The maximum P in the variable of 4% EM4 solution with a fermentation time of 9 days was 0.10%. The maximum K in the variable of 2 and 4% EM4 solution with a fermentation time of 5 days were 0.27%.

Unfulfillment of waste service ratetarget, low-quality of waste temporary shelter, and the basic needs to increase waste service rates become the foundation to analyze the financial aspect. This can be conductedby calculating and analyzing public’s Willingness to Pay (WTP) to waste management service improvements in Ujungberung Sub-District. The objectives of this research are to know the percentage of people’s WTP towards the rise of waste service rates and analyze factors that can affect the WTP. The chosen method for this research is Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) with Payment Card as its technique. By using Cross-Section method, there are 66 people selected to be the samples of this study. Online questionnaire is used to collect the data. The percentage of public’s WTP is 88% with the value of average WTP is Rp 31.288 and the value of total WTP is RP 113.575.000. Based on the multiple linear regression analysis, the factors significantly affecting the value of WTP are age and existing waste service rates.

As an industrial manufacture , xyz is an enterprise that produces mineral water should take into account in detail the processes in each production line in order to minimize the cost of activities of valueless activities. The impact of these activities is that they are excessive and inadequate to meet customer orders. The research focused on analysing the activities leading to waste to a glass-type production line based on a lean production approach. A case study based explanation is a research approach. According to the current state map, according to the current state map of wasteacross the value stream, the 'ham-filtering' of speakers and the 'cause of process failure on production lines' remains to be determined . Research shows that the dominant waste of the higher sequence is deliberate, the lead time value is 4320 seconds and the cycle time is 60 seconds. Next, the average consumer product of 7.7% exceeds the company's maximum standard. Based on value stream flow map, improvement recommendations as follows: minimize waste, disposal of worthless activities, 5W1H enhancement on the fish edge diagram and preventative maintenance activities to prevent unavoidable defects along production process activities.

One of the alternatives in the treatment of waste containing heavy metals is the use of natural materials as adsorbents, which is known as the biosorption process Pectin is one of the components found in plant cell wall compounds which contain many active groups that plays a key role in the biosorption process which can be used as biosorbents. In this research, the raw materials for pectin resources were orange peel and banana peel. The effectiveness of pectin for both ingredients will be analyzed on the basis of 2 variables, namely the length of contact time (60, 90, 120, and 150 minutes) and the mass of pectin used (20, 30, 40, and 50 mg). The pectin of orange and banana peel was proven by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis shown by C=O functional group of aldehyde and carboxylic acid compounds. The results of this study indicated that the optimum condition was 150 minutes contact with the addition of 50 mg pectin giving the best adsorption efficiency for orange peel pectin of 88,096% and banana peel pectin of 99,428%. From the isothermal analysis, the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms can be applied to the adsorption of Fe metals using orange peel and banana peel pectin with a coefficient of determination of R2 ≥ 0.9.

Lactobacillus sp are gram-positive bacteria that cannot survive in acidic conditions, such as stomach acid conditions (pH 1.5- pH 2.5) so that a carrier is needed so that Lactobacillus sp can survive when colonizing the intestine. One way to protect Lactobacillus sp in acidic conditions is by encapsulation. The core material used for Lactobacillus encapsulation uses a mixture of Na-alginate and chitosan. The mixture formed then becomes microcapsules using an electrospinning device. One of the components of the electrospinning device is a syringe that provides pressure to form droplets that fall into a solution of CaCl2 and chitosan with a concentration of 1.2%; 1.6% and 2%. Lactobacillus sp. The encapsulated viability was tested for viability in simulated gastric acid (0.2% NaCl pH 1.2 and pH 3) for 1 minute, 60 minutes, and 120 minutes using the Total Plate Count (TPC) method. After the viability test was carried out, it was found that Lactobacillus sp. encapsulation results with a 2% chitosan matrix with the number of colonies in the simulated gastric acid pH 3 for 1 minute is 4x109 cfu / g, for 60 minutes 3x109 cfu / g and for 120 minutes is 1x9 cfu /g.

A common issue is that B3 steel slag waste produced by the iron and steel smelting industry is often dumped into the environment and can lead to environmental pollution. The hazardous waste management that can be performed is the use of B3 steel slag waste as a road paving material. The method of analysis of this research is carried out based on the total economic value then a financial feasibility analysis is carried out using the concept of Cost Benefit Analysis (AMB). The purpose of this research is to identify and classify DUV, IUV, to perform a Total Economic Value assessment, and cost-benefit analysis. The result of the classification of the analysis of the total economic value of this research is the direct use value obtained for an amount of Rp 2.504.943.750.000, an indirect usege value of Rp 11.285.686.875.000, and the total economic value of Rp 13.790.630.625.000. The Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) conducted in this study is financially feasible, because it meets the financial feasibility standards for a project with a NPV value of Rp 4.827.270.437.317, the Net BCR value of 7,78 and the Gross BCR value of 2,02, IRR of 154,2 %, and the Payback Periode of 4 months 3 days.

RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen produces liquid waste containing microorganisms, toxic and radioactive chemicals. The results of the laboratory examination showed that the liquid waste level always exceeded the quality standard, namely the parameter of phosphate. The phosphate level in September 2013 was 4.80 mg / L, while in December 2013 the concentration was 2.60 mg / L, so additional treatment is needed, one of which is phytoremediation using white daffodils (Crinum asiaticum Linn.). This research method is an experimental research design with pre-post Test with Control Group Design where the wastewater will pass through a wet tank containing white lily plants with a residence time of 24 hours/day and a treatment rate of 1100 liters/day. Th research aimed to determine the effect of phytoremediation of white daffodils on the reduction of phosphate levels and the average percentage of its reduction. The results of this study in the ninth and tenth sample collection met the quality standards of 1.99 mg / L and 1.89 mg / L. Phytoremediation of white daffodils (Crinum asiaticum linn.) may reduce phosphate levels by 45.59%.

Solid waste known as garbage still becomes one of the most concerning issues in Indonesia. It increases every year; however, the landfill was not expanded. The accumulation of garbage could give a negative impact on the environment and health. Due to this reason, there is an alternative suggested to reduce the garbage and its sources. The initiative called ‘Bank sampah’, itis a garbage treatment system which is managed by the community. In addition, the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3R) laystall was built to carry out some ‘Bank Sampah’. This study conducted a preliminary design of 3R laystall at Desa Karyamulya Kecamatan Cisaga Kabupaten Ciamis. The design of the 3R laystall using black soldier fly method to decompose organic materials is employed in this research. The quantity and the density of the garbage were required to determine the design of the lay stall. Stratified random sampling was conducted for 8 days. Desa Karyamulya generates 2.361 liters/person/day or 0.236 kg/person/day. According to a population projection for the next 10 years, the estimation of garbage composition consists of food waste (52.15%); plastic (23.58%); paper (9.23%); fabric (0.45%); wood/leaf (6.38%); diapers (2.85%); metal (0.94%); rubber/leather (2.19%); glass (0.17%); and styrofoam (2.04%). From the quantity and composition of the garbage, it requires approximately 94 m2 of the area and an estimated funds needed as Rp. 483.908.600

Zero accident was considered as the primary occupational health and safety value in manufacturing and service enterprises. PT. ABC provided electrical and instrument services, including a low-voltage installation, high-voltage installation and an instrument installation. This company is known to excellent electricity and instrument service providers across the country . Moreover, men’s power is used as a primary source to maintain these kind of services. Installation projects depend not only on the high working speed, but also on high working accuracy within certain timeframes . As a result, work accidents have occurred with a classification varying from minor to fatal accidents. The purpose of this research is to identify potential hazards to assess risk levels and obtain recommendations for preventing accident. The HIRARC method is employed as a research approach. This research is initiated through Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control. This research identified that two hazards were classified as extreme risk, three hazards as high- risk, eight hazards as moderate risk , and two hazards have been identified as low risk . Furthermore, a number of action lists have been suggested in order to minimize accident rates and finally the working conditions are designed to maintain zero accidents.
