Abstract

Audit energi pada gedung atau bangunan sangatlah penting terutama penggunaan energi listrik, porsi pemakaian serta alokasi dana untuk penyediaan energi listrik merupakan salah satu yang dominan. Langkah untuk menghindari terjadinya pemborosan energi listrik, direktorat pengembangan energi telah membuat petunjuk konservasi energi pada bangunan gedung yang mengkonsumsi energi cukup besar. Pada penelitian ini telah di bangun sebuah sistem audit Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) listrik berbasis GUI yang sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah pada SNI 6196 tahun 2011. Sistem audit Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) listrik dapat digunakan pada empat klasifikasi gedung yaitu komersial, rumahsakit, hotel, dan swalayan. Pengujian sistem audit menggunakan data Gedung Dakwah Pimpinan Wilayah Muhammadiyah(PWM) Provinsi Riau. Hasil pengujian sistem audit Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) listrik berbasis GUI Matlab yang dibangun dibandingkan dengan hasil perhitungan dengan Microsoft excel menunjukan bahwa perbedaan perhitungan kecil dari 0,0001.

Abstract

Sistem parkir manual memungkinkan adanya kesalahan dalam pencatatan, pelayanan yang membutuhkan waktu lama, dan tidak adanya riwayat pengguna kendaraan. Sistem pengenalan plat motor kendaraan dirancang sebagai alternatif sistem parkir yang lebih akurat dalam pencatatan, pelayanan yang cepat, dan adanya data pengguna kendaraan. Sistem pengenalan plat motor kendaraan telah dirancang dilengkapi dengan Jaringan Saraf Tiruan (JST) Backpropagation. Sistem pengenalan yang telah dirancang terlebih dahulu melalui proses pengolahan citra dengan tahap grayscale, black and white, segmentasi, dan principal component analysis (PCA). Sistem diintegrasikan dengan JST backpropagation dengan multi layer network dengan hasil terbaik pada layer1 550 dan layer2 500. Sistem pengenalan plat nomor dilengkapi dengan dengan Graphycal User Interface (GUI) untuk menampilkan hasil identifikasi pengenalan plat nomor kendaraan. Hasil identifikasi pengenalan plat nomor menghasilkan akurasi pelatihan 100% dan akurasi pengujian 97,95918367% pengujian.

Abstract

Petroleum waste (crude oil) has become one of the sources of pollution in the sea. The pollution caused comes from several factors, oil spills from tankers, deliberate disposal of irresponsible industries. The layer of crude oil on the surface of the air holds back gas exchange from the atmosphere and reduces the solubility of oxygen in the waters so that it interferes with the respiration and photosynthesis processes in phytoplankton which are food producers in the sea. This study aims to characterize the synthesized TiO2 photocatalyst material using two methods, namely Sol-Gel (SG) and Hydrothermal (HD) which will then be used for applications in petroleum waste. To determine effectiveness of TiO2 photocatalyst in reducing crude oil spills on the sea surface based on fatty oil parameter tests. The synthesis of TiO2 was carried out by the solgel method (SG) and the hydrothermal method (HD) at various temperatures of 300 oC, 500 oC, and 700 oC. Characterization of the material formed using the SEM-EDX instrument, showed that in general it is spherical in shape, and is composed of C, O and Ti elements. The maximum effectiveness of SG-300, SG-500, and SG-700 was able to reduce fat oil content by 57.19%, 66.14% and 41.42% while HD-300, HD-500, and HD-700 were able to reduce fatty oil content. maximum of 60.87%. , 56.41% and 45.68% in the 120 minute irradiation time. The results showed that the photodegradation process in petroleum waste treatment using TiO2 material was able to reduce the fat oil content.

Abstract

Diabetes tipe 2 (DM tipe 2) disebabkan oleh banyak faktor diantaranya gaya hidup, lingkungan dan faktor genetik. Particulate Matter (PM) 2,5 merupakan fine partikel yang terdapat pada asap kendaraan bermotor, dapat menyebabkan efek sistemik diantaranya inflamasi yang memicu terjadinya resistensi insulin. Gaya hidup seperti diet tinggi lemak juga dapat menimbulkan peningkatan resiko terjadinya DM tipe 2. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efek paparan PM 2,5 terhadap berat badan dan kadar gula darah tikus wistar yang diberi diet tinggi lemak. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan post test control group design. Delapan belas ekor tikus wistar dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, yaitu kelompok paparan PM 2,5 dan diet normal, kelompok paparan PM 2,5 dan diet tinggi lemak dan kelompok kontrol yang tidak diberi paparan PM 2,5. Berat badan dan kadar gula darah diperiksa setelah paparan selama 30 hari. Analisis data menggunakan uji one way ANOVA dan dilanjutkan Post Hoc Test LSD. Hasil penimbangan berat badan kelompok control(153.67±11.219 gram,) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan berat badan kelompok diet normal (150.67±18.250 gram) dan diet tinggi lemak (151.33±14.278 gram), tidak terdapat perbedaan berat badan antar kelompok. Hasil pengukuran kadar gula darah pada kelompok diet tinggi lemak lebih tinggi (172.67±34.268 mg/dl) dibandingkan kelompok diet normal (148.50±24.898 mg/dl) dan kelompok kontrol (84.33±17.351 mg/dl), ditemukan perbedaan antara kelompok diet normal dengan kontrol dan dan kelompok diet tinggi lemak dengan kontrol. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu paparan PM 2,5 tidak menyebabkan perbedaan berat badan antar kelompok dan pemberian diet tinggi lemak dapat meningkatkan kadar gula darah secara bermakna. Abstract

Fly ash is one of the byproducts of palm oil mill. The silica extracted from fly ash can be utilized for the synthesis of ZSM-5 by hydrothermal methods after fusion pre-treatment with NaOH. This study aimed to obtain ZSM-5 and determine the characteristic of the synthesized ZSM-5. The synthesis was performed at various composition molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 with addition of PEG-400 as template on temperature 100°C during hydrothermal process. The analysis using XRD showed that the two of three synthesized zeolites were ZSM-5 with crystallinity 67.63% and 28.53%. Analysis using FTIR spectroscopy on synthesized ZSM-5 detected many groups including T-OH hydroxyl groups (Si-OH/Al-OH), TO groups (O-Si-O/O-Al-O) and pentasil groups are typical of ZSM-5. From analysis using pyridine adsorption, it can be concluded that the increases ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 causes the number total acid side of the sample increased.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini telah dibangun Sistem Audit Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) Listrik Swalayan/Supermarket berbasis GUI Matlab (Studi Kasus Indomaret Jalan Pepaya Pekanbaru). Sistem audit yang dibuat memiliki kelebihan desain yang menarik, resolusi gambar yang tinggi, dapat menghitung jumlah kWh/perhari dan kWh /tahun secara otomatis dan memudahkan dalam melakukan audit energi listrik secara mandiri. Hasil Audit Energi Listrik menggunakan sistem Audit Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) di Indomaret Jalan Pepaya Pekanbaru sebesar 400.135 kWh/tahun dan termasuk boros. Untuk nilai error sistem audit energi listrik sebesar 0.00002 % .

Abstract

The disposable use of medical masks causes a buildup of medical waste masks that can pollute the environment. One of alternative method used to decant a medical mask is the use of the insect Tenebrio molitor. However, the larvae ability to reduce the rate of the masks is not optimal, so it is necessary to combine the diet with organic waste. The purpose of this study is to identify the potential of the larvae T. molitor and so it need to know the weight of the larvae bodies by giving advanced surgical medical masks combined with the organic waste of pineapple peel, papaya peel, dregs of tofu, and palm meal. The method used is a Completely Random Design (CRD) with 4 treatment and 3 repetition. Research indicates that the larvae T. molitor were able to descale the surgical masks of organic waste. The rate of biodegradation of surgical medical masks is estimated at 1,75 gr/days, surgical medical mask + papaya peel 1,73 gr/days, surgical medical mask + pineapple peel 1,72 gr/days and surgical medical mask + palm covers 1,25 gr/days. Correlation analysis obtained r = 0,7413 meaning indicates a strong correlation between died of the combination of surgical medical masks and organic waste on increase the larvae body weight. Abstract

Pain in labor is a natural process. If it is not handled properly it will cause other problems, namely, due to the knowledge and inexperience of the mother when facing childbirth so that hormone production increases and results in vasocontraction which causes blood flow to the mother will decrease. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of lower extremity massage with jasmine aromatherapy to reduce pain scale in latent phase in labor. The research method was pre-experimental design, the study used a one group pre-test-post-test design, which revealed a causal relationship by involving one group of subjects. The subject group was observed before the intervention, it was observed again after the intervention was carried out. The results of statistical analysis obtained p value: 0.001. The conclusion of this study is that lower extremity massage therapy with jasmine aromatherapy reduces pain scale in latent phase of labor.

Abstract

Low birth weight babies (LBW) are more often problematic because of difficulty maintaining body temperature due to a lack of subcutaneous fat, a large skin surface area to body weight ratio, and reduced heat production due to insufficient brown fat. One of the treatments for LBW is the Kanggoro Mother Care (KMC) method, in which the baby gets warmth and is closer to the mother. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of implementation (KMC) on changes in body temperature and body weight of LBW. This type of research is quasy experiment. The experimental group in this study there was 1 group that was given an intervention of KMC management, where the body temperature and weight of the baby would be measured before and after the intervention. The data analysis method used is the Wilcoxon test. The results of the statistical test showed that before and after the implementation of KMC, the p value for temperature changes was 0.001 and the p value for weight gain in LBW was 0.022. The conclusion of this study is that KMC is effective against changes in temperature and weight of LBW infants.

Abstract

Escherichia coli is a normal flora found in the large intestine of humans and is opportunistic. Acute diarrhea is the discharge of watery or loose stools in larger amounts than normal, lasting less than 14 days. Acute diarrhea is caused by several microbes, one of which is Escherichia coli. Treatment of acute diarrhea caused by bacteria can be given antibiotics, but the relatively high use of antibiotics can lead to resistance. One of the natural ingredients known to treat acute diarrhea is papaya seeds (Carica papaya L.). Papaya seeds are known to have antibacterial activity because they contain flavonoids (quercetin), alkaloids, saponins, and tannins. This study aims to determine and analyze the antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract of papaya seeds on the growth of Escherichia coli. This research is an experimental study with a post-test only with a control group research design using papaya seeds (Carica papaya L.). The test bacteria used in this study were Escherichia coli with the dilution method to determine the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and the spread plate to determine the Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC). The results showed that MIC was present at a concentration of 2%, while MBC was at a concentration of 5%. It was concluded that the ethanol extract of papaya seeds (Carica papaya L.) had antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli.
