Abstract

This study aims to produce a model of household scale industries which are used in urban areas to pay attention to the efficient use of water resources, energy and land. Results of essential oils stored to determine the stability of the composition of the product citral essential oils are processed using steam distillation. Industrial model made from raw material supply of land is limited, the process is effective and efficient use of water and energy to economic analysis. The raw material used is the lemongrass or commonly called Lemongrass kitchen. Kitchen lemongrass plant is observed from planting to harvest right. The area required to sustain the process of production. Methods of planting lemongrass kitchen done naturally without any special treatment such as fertilization and pest control. Tools and processes developed is steam distillation. Engineering tools in order to get the process done the shortest and the least use of energy. A short process to obtain due to optimum cooling rate. Optimum cooling will reduce the processing time and minimize water usage. From the results of research in getting to the land area is 4 x 6m2 can generate lemongrass leaves the kitchen as much as 40kg. Essential oils are produced ± 120ml per day in 4 times long process with total process time 12h. The use of fuel by 12kg LPG per day with a volume of water use remain. With this process, this study managed to shorten the process that the effect of reducing energy and minimize water usage. The advantage that can be gained per day ± Rp310.000. In storage until 23bulan, citral percentage did not change with the level of 28% - 45%.

Abstract

Metallic biomaterials (titanium and titanium alloys) have been widely employed in many load-bearing orthopaedic applications, as they have excellent mechanical properties and corrosion stability. However, soaring problems such as a lack of direct chemical bonding between the implant and host tissues leading to implant loosening still persist. To prevent this problem, surface modifications such as applying hydroxyapatite onto titanium is necessary. The aim of this study is to investigate and to compare the bond strength and apatite induction ability of the hydroxyapatite coated titanium.

Abstract

Commence a project ultimate terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta airport Cengkareng, Jakarta, there are two important factors i.e. time factor and rescheduled work. This two factors are so need to be optimized by putting items together effectively, either before and after construction. Management system construction reference to the assumption that an implementation of the project can be implemented with the integrated system approach and the consistent of processes by the stage project implementation, if very stage process of system was done optimization against any problem. Time as one of main variables determine success or failure a project. The owners project expects net operation or the production of project have done. The sooner finished a project, the sooner ‘return of investment’ and the profit gained. The case that will be reviewed is an important of construction management system for handling a large project. From planning and control work time until they reached time of development projects effectively. Recommended to the community that construction management is one of alternative to reach particular purpose limited by time and resources. Understanding a construction project was an attempt to achieve a results in a building form desired and maximum profit.

Abstract

The research aim to make an spatial information system to determine Potential Erosion Index in Babakan watershed area to learning, testing, and evaluating erosion level using Geographical Information System (GIS). Spatial analysis that used are Digital Terrain Modelling (DTM)/Digital Elevation Modelling (DEM) that integrated with Moore and Burc (1986) equations. This analyze represented land surface relief in 3 dimension form to increase correctness of identification of land slope, catchment area, flow direction, flow accumulation, length of flow, and flowing area. The datas that used on this research are digital tophographic map 1:25000 scale, watershed boundary map, rivers network of Babakan watershed map, and landuse map. Analysis on this research is DEM processing from the countour map than integrated them to the Moore and Burch (1986) equations. The result of this research shown that minimum Potential Erosion Index value is 0 and maximum is 12244515840.

Abstract

One of effort to contribute poverty alleviation and eradication in East Java is the Village Potential Empowerment program in Pasuruan City . It is intended as an effort to develop the superior economic potential through productive urban village program of Pasuruan. The purpose of this research is to know the economic potential of Village, to know the obstacles in developing the economic potential and to explain the strategy and the program of developing the economic potential through Productive Village Program. The results obtained from this study resulted in Stable Growth Strategy, with a strategy that is done is a stable growth strategy where the development is done in stages with targets tailored to the current conditions and more priority on the factors of strength in the form of gradual development in order to achieve available opportunities. The strategy applied is the extension of Opportunities (Strategic Increasing Investment Program and Strategic Opportunity for Employment and Enhancement Program), Community Institutional Empowerment (strategic program of community empowerment in micro scope and strategic improvement program of local government accountability), Capacity Building (strategic program of health quality improvement community and strategic improvement programs of education services)

Abstract

The energy crisis of fuel is a problem faced by almost every state, predicted fuel reserves only enough oil to meet the world's needs for the next 30 years. Bioethanol is a non-fossil fuel considerable potential and can be used as an alternative fuel. This study aims to determine the effect of pH on ethanol yield and to determine the optimal pH by using a fermentation process raw material molasses. The research variables consisted of fixed and changing research, the materials used are, molasses (molasses), yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, NPK, urea, and water, and the tools used, the fermentor, pH meters, and pycnometer. The conclusion of this study, the pH affects the quality of ethanol and the highest levels of ethanol produced at pH 4.5, where the concentration of glucose and yeast performance Sacharomyces cereviseae very optimum at pH 4.5 to produce the ethanol content amounted to 5.6%.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of ten countries which the largest wood producer in the world. Wood is one of green materials if it’s compared with concrete and steel material. Wood is renewable material too. The problem of using wood for building construction is less of wood with large section dimension. So, engeenered wood appear to solve this problem. One of engeenered wood types is box beam. Box beam can increase inertia of material if it’s compared to traditional wood beam with same section dimension area. The purpose of this experiment is to know the comparasion about torsional stiffness between wood box beam and wood traditional beam. The result of this experiment show that Beam 1 (T.40.40) or traditional beam have torsional stiffness about 105,90 kg.m/rad. Beam 2 (T.45.45.12) is about 159,69 kg.m/rad. Beam 3 (T.50.50.10) is about 190,22 kg.m/rad. And at last, Beam 4 (T.58.58.8) is about 252,89 kg.m/rad. From the result, there are linier chart relationship between torsional stiffness and ratio of wall thickness and section dimension of box beam (t/a). The aplication of box beam should be developed. We hope box beam can be aplicated by people beacause torsional stiffness of box beam is larger than traditional wood beam exactly.

Abstract

Problems landslides are common in Indonesia , especially during the rainy season which resulted in an increase in the volume of water, soil conditions become unstable, this often creates victims of both fatalities and casualties material. One of the locations with frequent landslides in Residence of Malang. One of the ways used to control stability of the land so as not to slide is to build a retaining wall. Planning retaining wall is located on the River Celaket, Gading Kulon village, subdistrict Dau, Malang. In this plan, the data is taken directly through laboratory tests in soil mechanics laboratory civil engineering Tribhuwana Tunggadewi Malang University. The type of planned retaining wall is gravity type. In order to the building can be function properly, then the stability of the building must also be planned as best as possible, therefore, The stability of the retaining wall analyzed to the danger of rolling (bolting) and sliding in normal water conditions without the earthquake, dwite the earthquake and flood water level conditions without the earthquake, with earthquakes Analyzed using the Rankine formula. The result is SFsliding 1,81 1,5 dan 1,32 1,2, SFbolters 2,07 1,5 dan 1,36 1,2 (for normal conditions without and with earthquake) dan SFsliding 2,11 1,5 and 1,49 1,2 SFbolters 2,10 1,5 dan 1,26 1,2 (for flood condition without and with earthquake), it turns out safely. This study also included with the method of exercising the work used a system of mutual assistance or nongovernmental and calculate the budget plan, which totals Rp.340.503.000

Abstract

Ngantang part of Malang Regency, located at an altitude between 500-700m above sea level. Judging from the topographical conditions, the potential energy of the water used as a source of energy for the MHP in this area is very high. To be able to calculate the potential energy of MHP good electricity necessary to analyze the reliability of river discharge (m3/s), high water fall (meters) and the time of engine operation plan generation (hours). Reliability discharge is obtained by calculating the flow data with FJ.Mock method. Evapotranspiration value in this study using Penman Method. Meanwhile, the data discharge measurements conducted field observations as a discharge control method of calculation results FJ.Mock. Based on the research results obtained in four locations debit mainstay at 0:39 Q60 m3 / sec (Jombok), 1:02 m3 / sec (Waturejo), 0:48 m3 / sec (Ngantru I), 3:14 m3 / sec (Ngantru II). Average large power awakened by calculation is 47.75 K. This amount is equivalent to the fulfillment of the electricity needs of as many as 47 home residences.
