Journal of Education Action Research
Journal of Educational Action Research is concerned with exploring the dialogue between research and practice in educational settings. This journal publishes accounts of a range of action research and related studies, in education and across the professions, with the aim of making their outcomes widely available and exemplifying the variety of possible styles of reporting. It aims to establish and maintain a review of the literature of action research. It also provides a forum for dialogue on the methodological and epistemological issues, enabling different approaches to be subjected to critical reflection and analysis.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD No. 2 Mengwi tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD N 2 Mengwi yang berjumlah 26 orang terdiri dari 15 orang laki – laki dan 11 orang perempuan. Data tentang hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode tes. Setelah data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh, selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif.Hasil yang diperoleh adalah Pada siklus I ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 75,38% , dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 75,38. Dari siklus I ke siklus II ketuntasan belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 5,96% yaitu 81,34% dengan rata–rata hasil hasil belajar siswa sebesar 81,34. Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered head together dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD N 2 Mengwi.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 3 Tianyar di Kelas II Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 yang prestasi belajarnya untuk mata pelajaran agama Hindu sangat rendah. Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar agama Hindu siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media gambar. Metode pengumpulan datanya adalah tes prestasi belajar. Metode analisis datanya adalah deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media gambar dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar agama Hindu siswa. Ini terbukti dari hasil yang diperoleh pada awalnya 65, pada siklus I menjadi 67,92 dan pada siklus II menjadi 72,92. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Inkuiri berbantuan Media Gambar dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar agama Hindu siswa Kelas II Semester I SD Negeri 3 Tianyar Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 4 Tianyar di Kelas I Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 yang kemampuan siswanya untuk mata pelajaran Matematika masih rendah. Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran Kuantum dengan metode Snowball dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Metode pengumpulan datanya adalah tes prestasi belajar. Metode analisis datanya adalah deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Kuantum dengan metode Snowball dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Ini terbukti dari hasil yang diperoleh pada pada awalnya53,75 setelah diberikan tindakan pada siklus I meningkat menjadi57,66 dan pada siklus II meningkat lagi menjadi64,22. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Kuantum dengan metode Snowball dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa SD Negeri 4 Tianyar Kelas I Semester I Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IXB semester ganjil SMP Negeri 2 Kubu setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran quantum teaching berbantuan media konkret. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IXB SMP Negeri 2 Kubu yang terdiri dari 40 orang siswa, 22 siswa laki-laki dan 18 orang siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap Siklus terdiri dari 3 kali pertemuan yang di dalamnya terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, pemantauan, serta refleksi. Data hasil belajar siswa dikumpulkan melalui tes tulis pada setiap akhir siklus. Data yang telah dikumpulkan tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran quantum teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari nilai rata-rata hasil tes siklus I sebesar 66,8 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 50% dan nilai rata-rata siklus II sebesar 81,6 dengan tingkat ketuntasan belajar 87,5%

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang aktif dan rendahnya hasil belajar IPA siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPA siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD dalam aktivitas pembelajaran. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi yang dilengkapi dengan pedoman observasi terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa dan metode tes yang dilengkapi dengan instrumen berupa tes (soal) objektif. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara kualitatif dan menggunakan rumus statistik. Hasil pelaksanaan tindakan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan siswa. Pada refleksi awal keaktifan belajar siswa sebesar 4,87 yang tergolong kurang aktif. Pada siklus I rata-rata keaktifan belajar siswa adalah 6,27 yang tergolong cukup aktif; sedangkan pada siklus II rata-rata keaktifan belajar siswa adalah 7,57 yang tergolong aktif. (2) Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif model STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa . Pada refleksi awal nilai ratat-rata siswa sebesar 58,83. Hasil evaluasi pada siklus I menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 67,67, pada siklus II nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 79,52. Dari hasil tersebut ada perbedaan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah penerapan pembelajaran kooferatif model STAD. Dengan demikian penerapan pembelajaran kooferatif model STAD dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar IPA.

Research conducted in class VIII-B in SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada in the second semester of the academic year 2017/2018 aims to improve the learning process as well as to improve student achievement. The subjects of this study were taken from students who studied in Class VIII-B which amounted to 32 students, 20 men and 12 women. The object of this research is the effort to improve science achievement. Data collection techniques were conducted through tests (objective tests) and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Initial data only reached the average grade of 74.84 further in the first cycle increased by 2.97 to 77.81 and in cycle II also rose as much as 6.56 to become an average of 84.38. In learning completeness also increased from 64,86% initially increase as many as 16,22 in cycle I to become 81,08% and in cycle II also increase as many as 10,81 so become 91,89%. The data in cycle II shows that the expected success has been achieved even exceeds the indicator of the success of the proposed research. Thus the authors concluded that the model of Problem Based Learning applied in the process of learning science in class VIII-B SMP Negeri 1 Sukasada odd semester of the academic year 2017/2018 able to improve learning achievement

This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja on the students of class IX 1in odd semester, academic year 2016/2017 with condition of student discipline still less appropriate with initial data reach 75% .The purpose of this action research study is to know whether the individual guidance model can improve discipline students in following school rules. Data collection method was observation. Data analysis method was descriptive for qualitative data. The result obtained from this research was individual guidance can improve student discipline in following school order. This is evident from the results obtained in the first cycle increased 80% of the initial data. After the individual guidance and improvement on the weaknesses that exist in cycle I was increased from Cycle I to Cycle II up to 98%. Conclusion obtained from this study is individual guidance can improve student discipline in following school rules

This research was conducted in Class IX-4 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in odd semester , year 2016/2017, with the average condition of the students' ability in understanding the contents of the text only 71.11. This condition has not met the KKM. Percentage of new KKM achievement reached 29.73%. The purpose of this classroom action research is to improve students' ability in understanding the text content through the implementation of Problem Based Learning Model Learning. The method used to collect data through the test description (the ability of students in understanding the contents of the text), which then analyzed by using descriptive method quantitative.The data are presented in the form of average learning achievement and learning mastery procession. The results obtained from this research is the development of students' ability in understanding the text content was very positive. At first the average ability of students in understanding the content of the text only; 71,11 with complete learning only; 29.73%, then after the implementation of Cycle I increased to average, 75.35 with learning completeness reached 54.05% From Cycle I to Cycle II also increased the average that reached 79.19 and learning mastery 89.19 %. The conclusion obtained from this research is Implementation of Problem Based Learning Model can improve the ability of students of class IX-4 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in understanding the text content in odd semester at 2016/2017.

This research is based on the low skill of asking students in grade I SD Negeri 4 Kaliuntu. This study aims to increase the ability to ask questions of students with the implementation of learning model of snowball throwing of first grade students in SD Negeri 4 Kaliuntu, Buleleng sub-district, Buleleng regency year 2015/2016. This research was a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation / evaluation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were the first grade students in SD Negeri 4 Kaliuntu, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency in 2015/2016 school year as many as 41 students. Data collection in this research is done by using observation sheet. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis method and quantitative descriptive analysis. The result of the research shows that thematic learning using snowball throwing model can improve the ability to ask questions of first grade students in SD Negeri 4 Kaliuntu, Buleleng District, Buleleng Regency in the 2015/2016 . In the first cycle, the students' skill question ws 58.2% in the less category and increased to 81.4% in cycle II which is in the good category.

This research was motivated by the ability of grade VIII students of junior high school in learning English was still low especially in speaking skill. This study aims to improve English speaking skill of grade VIII students of junior high school by using Modeled Talk. The method used to collect data was the method of test and observation. the instruments used in data collection were test, observation sheet and questionnaire. The results of this study indicated that there was an improvement in students’ speaking skill, in which on the first cycle of this study the average score of the students’ speaking skill was 2.75 with the percentage of 64.2% and on the second cycle the average score of students’ speaking skill was 3.00 with percentage of 70.0% and the category is good. In cycle 1, the percentage of pronunciation was 65.8%, 65.8% for grammar, 68.3% for vocabulary, 60.0% for fluency and 60.8% for comprehension. Furthermore in cycle 2, there was an increase in each aspect such as: pronunciation of 70.8%, grammar of 72.5%, vocabulary of 69.2%, fluency of 67.5% and 70.0% for comprehension aspect. This study continues into cycle 2 because completeness classical of cycle 1 only 64.3% of students who were able the get the value equal to or more than 67 as the minimum criterion value. Furthermore, in cycle 2 occurs an increase for classical completeness that is 89.3%. Thus, it can be suggested that Modeled Talk can be used to improve the English speaking skill of grade VIII junior high school students.
