Journal of Education Action Research
Journal of Educational Action Research is concerned with exploring the dialogue between research and practice in educational settings. This journal publishes accounts of a range of action research and related studies, in education and across the professions, with the aim of making their outcomes widely available and exemplifying the variety of possible styles of reporting. It aims to establish and maintain a review of the literature of action research. It also provides a forum for dialogue on the methodological and epistemological issues, enabling different approaches to be subjected to critical reflection and analysis.

<![CDATA[This study was aimed at finding out an increase in science learning achievement of the fourth grade students of SDN 4 Kaliuntu after implementing Audio Visual Aided - Numbered Head Together (NHT) type of Cooperative Learning model. This was a classroom action research that was done in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation/evaluation and reflection. The subjects were the fourth grade students of SDN 4 Kaliuntu. The data were collected using test. The data collected were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. From the data analysis in cycle I, the average grade students science learning achievement 72,10, after being converted into criterion-referenced evaluation, the students learning achievement falls into medium level. The result of the study in cycle II showed that there was an increase in learning achievement. The average grade student science learning achievement reached 83,65, falling into a high category. The results of this study showed that the implementation of audio visual-aided NHT type of Cooperative Learning model can increase the fourth grade students’ science learning achievement in SDN 4 Kaliuntu in the academic year 2017/2018.]]>

<![CDATA[Science is essentially about product (scientific knowledge) and process (scientific inquiry). Science product and process have an equally important position in learning. However, the learning process about science, especially Biology, in the classroom only aims to understand and implement the concept, principle, and biological law. This causes students' scientific skills to be low. One of efforts that can be done to improve scientific skills is by implementing inquiry-based learning assisted by e-UKBM. This study aims to improve the students’ scientific skills and to determine the response of students to the learning that is applied. The subjects in this study were 27 students in class XI IPA 2 in SMA Negeri Bali Mandara in the odd semester of Academic Year 2018/2019. Scientific skills in this study were measured using an observation sheet. Based on this research, it was found that the students’ scientific skills had exceeded minimal learning completeness. Therefore, this study had succeeded in improving the students’ scientific skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Based on the results of observations, interviews and evaluation results of the implementation of Civics subject learning stated by the class XII Semester 1 teacher and student of SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta, the 2015/2016 academic year obtained data that the implementation of Civic Education learning in SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta still requires innovation from various aspects in accordance with PKn subject learning material. Pre-cycle results conducted by the researchers at the beginning of this study were low or below the KKM, which was 61.43 with the percentage of success in learning reaching 46.66%. Seeing such conditions Researchers are encouraged to make improvements through Classroom Action Research by applying group discussion learning methods where the application of group discussion learning methods is believed to be able to improve student learning outcomes to a level better. The main objectives in this study are: to find out the improvement of student learning outcomes in PKn subjects through the implementation of group discussion learning methods in students of class XII of the first semester of SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta in the 2015/2016 student year. The results obtained through data collection techniques, namely: observation, documentation tests and interviews, are: Learning outcomes cycle I is 75.6 while the results of Learning cycle II are 79.7. The conclusion of this study is "Through the application of learning methods to group discussions on Civics subjects with the subject matter of Pancasila as State Ideology can improve the learning outcomes of students of class XII of the first semester of SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta in the 2015/2016 school year.]]>

<![CDATA[ This study aims to determine the performance of language teachers in teaching at SMK Negeri 30 Jakarta, by looking at student learning outcomes for language subjects (Indonesian, English, French) for students of class XI semester one of the school year 2017/2018 that have not reached the standard KKM determined by the school. This research is School Action Research (PTS) through the implementation of Scheduled Guidance. This research was carried out at 30 State Vocational Schools Jakarta and its implementation in two cycles, each cycle in the study included four steps namely (1) planning (2) implementation (acting), (3) observation (observing), (4) reflection (reflecting). Data were collected using observation sheets and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on research data and discussion, it can be concluded that the implementation of Guidance is scheduled for language teachers. proven to be able to improve the performance of language teachers in implementing learning for class XI students. The first semester of SMK Negeri 30 Jakarta in the 2017/2018 academic year, so that student learning outcomes improve well.]]>

<![CDATA[From the results of observation of researchers as principals, so far the teachers at SMK Jakarta 60 have data and information that the school environment is very rarely used by teachers as a source of learning. For this reason, through guidance and discussion with the KKG about professionalism in implementing learning by utilizing the school environment as a learning resource and believed to be able to improve the quality of learning in Jakarta State Vocational High School for the field of Tourism expertise. This school action research was carried out with the aim of increasing teacher professionalism in utilizing the school environment as a learning resource. This research was designed in the form of School Action Research which was planned to be carried out in two cycles, where each cycle was carried out in two meetings. The subjects of this study were teachers at SMK Jakarta 60 which consisted of six productive teachers and two adaptive and Normative teachers. The implementation of this study begins with collecting data and using the observation format, learning scenario assessment instruments and assessment instruments for learning implementation. Furthermore, the collected data was analyzed using descriptive analysis whose results were in the first cycle the average value obtained was 79.38, while in the second cycle the average value obtained was 84.88. So that it can be concluded that coaching and guidance through the teacher working group discussion approach can improve the professionalism of teachers in the use of the school environment as a learning resource for teachers in SMK 60 Jakarta is very effective.]]>

<![CDATA[Based on observations made by researchers on learning activities and interviews with teachers obtained data, that the learning outcomes of science subjects with biodiversity material for class X students of State Vocational High School 60 Jakarta for 2014/23015 school year, are still under KKM and still need improvement - improvement in the learning process because the pre-cycle test results showed values with an average of 68.96 and learning completeness reached 57.57%. To overcome these problems the researchers sought to make improvements through the implementation of inquiry-based learning on IP subjects with biodiversity material for students in class X of the first semester of SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta in 2014/2015 academic year with a total of 32 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The indicator of the success of this research is that during the learning process and reflection it is evident that there is an increase in learning outcomes in science subjects in class X of the First Semester of SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta. The results of his research are: learning outcomes in the first cycle the average value shows 75.51, while the learning outcomes in the second cycle the average value shows. 79.30. Based on research data and discussion, it can be concluded that applying learning through inquiry-based methods in science subjects can improve student learning outcomes in class X of the first semester of SMK Negeri 60 Jakarta.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this Classroom Action Research is to improve student learning outcomes in Tata Boga subjects for students of class X Even Semester of State Vocational School 30 Jakarta 2014/2015 Academic Year Jakarta. This research was conducted in August 2014 where the research subjects were students of class X Even Semester of State Vocational School 30 Jakarta 2014/2015 Academic Year. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings which consist of planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. Data on student learning outcomes are collected through tests. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study are in the first cycle, with an average value reaching 78.28 while in the second cycle the average value is 82.94. Based on the findings from the results of this Classroom Action Research, it can be concluded that optimizing the use of food practice facilities as a learning laboratory is proven to improve student learning outcomes for Tata Hidang subjects with Tata Basic Lover material, for students of class X Even Vocational Semester Negeri 30 Jakarta in Academic Year 2014/2015.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to improve service learning outcomes in volleyball games for students of Class XI K1 of SMK Negeri 3 Sukawati 2016/2017. The subjects of this study were students of Class XI Karawitan 1 in the 2016/2017 school year which amounted to 25 students. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings which consist of planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. Data on student learning outcomes were collected through individual practice tests. The data collected was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate the application of the cooperative learning model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) can improve student learning outcomes indicated by the results of the study before the average action is obtained by students with number 7, in the first cycle increases with an average mastery of material by 67 in the less category, with a 17% increase. in cycle II it increased to 74, so the increase occurred at 17%. With enough categories. But overall, there has been a significant increase. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers in the learning process activities can use the STAD type cooperative approach to improve student learning achievement]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this class action research is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Question and Answer Method with a variety of instructional media on improving student learning outcomes in PKN subjects specifically in Pancasila Ideology material in odd grade IV students of SD No. 1 in the 2015/2016 school year. The research subjects in this study were fourth grade students in the odd semester of the 2015/2016 academic year which amounted to 19 students. This research is a classroom action research conducted in three cycles.. Data on student learning outcomes are collected through learning outcomes tests. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that in the first cycle the number of students was 19 people, who graduated 6 people and those who did not pass 13 people, with an average score of 60.00. The percentage of graduation in the first cycle was 31.58% and the number of graduates was 68.42%, because it did not meet the KKM value standard (65) then the second study was conducted in the second cycle. Data obtained in cycle II with the number of students 19 people, who graduated 16 people and those who did not pass 3 people, with an average value of 66.05 and the percentage of graduation 84.21% and the non-graduation of 15.79%. Because it has not felt complete, the researcher conducted a research again in the third cycle, with the number of students being 19 people, students who passed 19 people with an average value of 68.42% and the percentage of completeness 100%.]]>
