Abstract

The aim of this study was to understand the characteristic of learning plans, learning activities, and learning implications of using traditional literatures as learning media in developing personal values of kindergarten chidren at Cahaya Ananda Kindergarten in Mataram. Personal values purposed in this study were: emotional value, intelegency, imagination, sosial value, ethics, and religious value. Traditional literatures purposed in this study were: mythos, legends, fabels, folklores, folksongs, and wayang stories told generations after generations around children subjected to this study. This study was an ex-post facto descriptive quantitative study. From this study we found that the characteristic of Daily Learning Plans used in subject kindergarten has been appropriate with national Daily Learning Plans now used. Environment oriented prior-to-play learning process was integrated in outside-class initial activities. Teachers have included traditional literatures in learning plans and learning process and have shown to increase children’s personal values. At the end of learning process children have shown increase in: emotional value, intelectuality, imagination, empathy, ethics, and religiousity. Abstract

This aimed to create a toroughful inductive study on the holistic parenting phenomenon based on Tri Hita Karana in developing characters of younger children. Method used in this just case study qualitative by doing inductive study. Started from intensive data collection about the said phenomenon, thus maintain the credibility of data collected. Method used in data collection was observation of parenting phenomenon, grouping data based on paterns, arranging general concept, pincipal and proposition based on qualitative data analisis. This study found that holistic parenting based on Tri Hita Karana resulted in children with holistic self competences and parenting model based on 9 characteristis: love to God, independence and responsibility, honesty, politeness, willingness to sacrifice, persistent, fair, humble, dan tolerance. Outcome of this study could be used for increasing and developing parenting pattern based on Tri Hita Karana philosophy to help raised Hindu generation with good character. Keywords: Parenting, Holistic, Tri Hita Karana, Character Penelitian Ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan studi induktif yang kuat pada fenomena pengasuhan holistik berdasarkan Tri Hita Karana dalam mengembangkan karakter anak-anak yang lebih muda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus kualitatif dengan melakukan studi induktif. Dimulai dari pengumpulan data intensif tentang fenomena tersebut, sehingga menjaga kredibilitas data yang terkumpul. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah observasi fenomena parenting, pengelompokan data berdasarkan patern, penyusunan konsep umum, pincipal dan proposisi berdasarkan analisis data kualitatif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pola asuh holistik berdasarkan Tri Hita Karana menghasilkan anak-anak dengan kompetensi diri secara holistik dan model pengasuhan berdasarkan 9 karakteristis: cinta kepada Tuhan, kemandirian dan tanggung jawab, kejujuran, kesopanan, kesediaan berkorban, gigih, adil, rendah hati, dan toleransi. . Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangkan pola pengasuhan berdasarkan filosofi Tri Hita Karana untuk membantu membangkitkan generasi Hindu dengan karakter yang baik. Abstract

The early childhood education system nowadays requires the use of authentic assessment in schools. Authentic assessment is an integrative method of assessing the learning process, reflective to the real-world situations, using varieties methods and holistic criteria to assess the cognitive, affective, and skills in early childhood. Social development occurs dominantly after physical, cognitive, and language developments. Based on the minimal developmental standard, many early-childhood children show substandard development in environment adaptation ability, self-managing ability, responsibility, ability to follow rules, sharing, respecting others, cooperation, toleration, and emotional expression. This study aims to identify the influence of cooperative learning through authentic assessment-based jigsaw in the social development of early childhood. This study uses a pre-test post-test design on 50 subjects aged 5-6 years old. The experiment was carried out in 4 stage with 4 learning sub-themes. Data collected with a 1-4 scale observation instrument to get quantitative data and analyzed using t-Test. Results from data analysis concluded that cooperative learning through authentic assessment-based jigsaw has a positive influence on social development in early childhood. We recommend the implementation of this method to optimize social development in early childhood.

Abstract

Activities of moral and religious development must also be promoted in preschool education. The purpose of this study was to analyses the impact of the storytelling method on the religious and moral development of early childhood. The study uses a quantitative method with an experimental post-test pre-test approach of a group design located at Cahaya Ananda Preschool, Mataram which is determined by a purposive cluster sampling. The subjects in this study were 52 children surveyed in classes B1, B2 and B3. The treatment was carried out four times using the storytelling method with tools, hand puppets, standing planel boards, paste and story books with environmental themes. There was an average increase; positive influence of the application of the learning method of storytelling on the religious/moral growth of early childhood. It is recommended that early childhood education teachers constantly improve their storytelling skills in order to be able to increase the potential of children, especially in the moral and religious development of early childhood

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini mengalami krisis pembelajaran dan capaian hasil belajar yang belum mampu menghasilkan kompetensi hasil belajar berupa pengetahuan sikap dan keterampilan, serta profil pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan desain preexperimental one shot case study yang dilaksanakan dengan pembelajaran saintifik menggunakan STEM berbasis agama pramana, anumana pramana, dan praktyasa. Berdasarkan jenjang pelaksanaan pembelajaran, terdapat perbedaan angka rata-rata capaian profil pelajar Pancasila antara pembelajaran sangat baik, baik, dan cukup baik. Kemudian,  terdapat pengaruh psoitif dan signifikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran saintifik menggunakan STEM berbasis kearifan lokal tri pramana (anumana pramana) terhadap profil pelajar Pancasila anak usia dini. Terakhir, terdapat pengaruh psoitif dan signifikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran saintifik menggunakan STEM berbasis kearifan lokal tri pramana (praktyasa pramana) terhadap profil pelajar Pancasila anak usia dini. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan kepada setiap institusi Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini untuk memiliki kurikulum tersendiri, menerapkan pembelajaran saintifik menggunakan STEM berbasis tri pramana dalam mencapai profil pelajar Pancasila yang optimal.

Abstract

Sebagian besar anak yang diasuh oleh orang tua tunggal korban perceraian mengalami penyimpangan perilaku sosial-emosional pada indikator rendahnya pemahaman peratiran disiplin, sikap toleransi, dan penggunaan pikiran kritis untuk memecahkan masalah.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara kualitatif tentang penyimpangan perilaku sosial-emosional anak usia 4-6 tahun di Kota Mataram. Penelitian menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan 10 subjek yang diasuh oleh orang tua tunggal bapak/ibu korban perceraian. Instrumen pengumpulan data memakai teknik observasi dengan menggunakan check list berskala ordinal. Isi instrumen disusun berdasarkan indikator perilaku sosial-emosional. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kualitataif dari Haberman. Ditemukan 60% subjek mengalami penyimpangan perilaku sosial-emosional pada indikator memahami peraturan dan disiplin, sikap toleran, dan penggunaan pikiran kritis untuk menyelesaikan masalah. 40% - 50% anak menunjukkan menyimpang sosial-emosional pada indikator: bertanggungjawab, pengendalian perasaan, kehati-hatian, menjaga diri, mengakui keunggulan orang lain, menaati aturan yang berlaku dan menghargai orang lain. 20% - 30% anak berperilaku menyimpang sosial-emosionalnya pada indikator: rasa empati, pengendalian diri, sikap mandiri, berbagi dan tolong menolong, antusias dalam kompetitif, penghargaan pendapat dan karya orang lain dan bersikap kooperatif dengan teman.

Abstract

Communication is very important for human survival. Symbolic communication is communication carried out through agreed or conventional symbols. Cultural values are symbolic communication used to communicate meaning to society. The megibung tradition is a culture that has symbols and cultural values that must be understood by the community. This research aims to explore symbolic communication in the megibung tradition. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained was then analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data conclusion. The results of this study show that symbolic communication in the megibung tradition is found in the management, order and activities of society, namely a symbol that communicates meaning to society, such as tools, materials, moral values, language, symbols, gestures, time and vocals.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of parents/caregivers in stimulating playing activities at home which can be a complement to education and learning that occurs in schools. Activities carried out by the community service team, with a target of 30 AUD parents/caregivers at home. The methods applied are direct learning methods, giving assignments, problem-based learning, cases, and collaborative projects. Methods of data collection using observation guidelines with a Likert scale (4, 3, 2, 1) and analysis of the work. The data obtained is in the form of interval data, and analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the level of achievement of this PKM result. The conclusion obtained: the average achievement of knowledge and skills reaches a good category, there is one very good aspect of knowledge and skills, namely the preparation of outlines of plans for children's activities at home. Increasing parents' knowledge and skills in stimulating activities at home is expected to optimize children's growth and development achievements and the profile of Pancasila early childhood students.

Abstract

Mathematics achievement can be considered low among elementary school students. Formative assessments allow educators to understand where students are in their learning process. This research will analyze the use of technology-based formative assessments that can help overcome several problems in elementary schools, especially in improving student mathematics achievement. This type of research is quantitative research that uses a quasi-experimental design. The research sample will consist of elementary school students divided into two groups: an experimental group that receives a technology-based formative assessment. In contrast, the other group will be a control group that receives a traditional formative assessment. The data collection instrument consists of a pretest and post-test mathematics test. Data analysis will use statistical software such as SPSS with the t-test. This research concludes that using technology-based formative assessment significantly positively influences elementary school students' mathematics achievement. The implications of this research can help design better learning strategies for mathematics subjects in the future.
