Abstract

Career women often face obstacles due to their roles as workers and as housewives. This is caused by the negative cognitions and emotions experienced by married women which can lead to a decrease in the level of work engagement. Meanwhile, to be fully involved in individual work requires self-utilization, both cognitively and emotionally. This study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and work engagement in married career women. Subjects in this study amounted to 70 people who have the characteristics of a career woman who is married, with a minimum of one year of work. Subjects were taken using purposive sampling method. Collecting data in this study using the Emotional Intelligence Scale and Work Engagement Scale. The data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation of Karl Pearson. Based on the results of data analysis obtained a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.479 with p = 0.000 (p <, 0.05). These results indicate that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and work engagement.  To maintain and improve emotional intelligence can be done with meditation, doing fun activities, and reflection to practice the ability to understand yourself and others.

Abstract

When building or running a business, MSMEs actors often face various obstacles and risks, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. This situation requires MSMEs actors to survive any situation so that the business can continue to run properly, as with the Coffee Shop owners in Salatiga. To be able to survive and face difficult times, individuals must be able to form a good personality with a positive outlook to innovate. Therefore, this study aims to see the relationship between the “openness to experience trait personality” and the resilience of Coffee Shop owners in Salatiga. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlation design. A total of 30 participants were involved using a saturated sampling technique. The measurement of the study used the BFI scale for “openness to experience trait personality” and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) resilience scale. The study's results prove a significant positive relationship between “openness to experience trait personality” and resilience in the coffee shop owners in Salatiga (r = 0.543 and significant 0.001). It indicates that the “openness to experience trait personality” is one of the factors related to the resilience of Coffee Shop owners in Salatiga.

Abstract

The students really need nutritional intake therefore breakfast is very important for them. Children who are accustomed to breakfast will have better abilities than children who are not accustomed to breakfast. Breakfast will stimulate growth and maximize children's abilities at school. This study aims to analyze the correlation of breakfast with the learning concentration of fourth grade elementary school students. The method used in this research is a survey method by conducting treatments in data collection, by distributing questionnaires, tests, structured interviews, and so on. This study uses a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were 24 students including 11 male students and 13 female students. While the research stages are: 1) Documentation; 2) Questionnaire (Questionnaire preparation, Questionnaire Validity Test, Questionnaire Reliability Test. The instrument or measuring instrument used is the Likert Scale and the data analysis technique used is using "significant test" the correlation test can analyze how the relationship between x and y variables. To calculate item analysis and correlation, the product moment correlation coefficient formula is used. The results of the research show that the correlation between Breakfast and Learning Concentration results in the number 0.987 where the resulting number is positive. This shows that there is a very close relationship between Breakfast and Student Learning Concentration. Based on the results of the correlation analysis, the hypothesis proposed is that there is a relationship between breakfast and student concentration. It means that there is a very significant relationship between breakfast and the learning concentration of fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

In the process of distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, early age students have to study from home and need parental guidance. However many parents are still less able to guide their children in online learning activities. This study aimed to analyze fathers’ involvement in early childhood care during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of study was qualitative. The approach used in this study was a case study. Data collection used interviews and focus group discussions (FGD) methods. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data was a descriptive qualitative analysis of data analysis by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study were as follows. First, fathers still carry out learning activities but do not leave their duties as a father. Second, fathers still take the time to present themselves to their children by accompanying them to activities. Third, the responsibility given by the father to the child is indeed more dominant in financial terms. Fourth, fathers’ activities when they are with their children are various ways. It was concluded that fathers still made time for their children during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The lack of children's language skills is influenced by the need for students' ability to socialize. It is because children spend more time playing mobile games. This study aims to develop and describe the design of a market game based on local wisdom in Rembang to improve children's language skills. This research method used the Research and Development (R&D) method using Borg and Gall with ten stages. The population in this study were all Kindergarten B children in Gugus Dewi Sartika Rembang. The samples in this study were Group B children at Nugraha Putra Kindergarten, Melati Kindergarten, and Nusa Indah Kindergarten, Totaling 50 Children. Data Collection Techniques Using Observations, Questionnaires, Interviews, and Documentation. While the data analysis technique uses Quantitative Descriptive Analysis, Requirements Test, and t-Test. The results showed that developing market games based on local wisdom was feasible and could improve the language skills of Kindergarten B Rembang children with a t-test of 21,189 and t table of 4.381 then, or 21.189> 4.381 while the NAin value was 71 in the Effective Category. This study concludes that the development of market games based on local wisdom is needed, feasible, and effective following the design of market games relevant to children's and teachers' needs.

Abstract

The lack of use of instructional media by teachers has an impact on low student motivation in learning. The purpose of this research is to get a strategy that can be done to increase students' learning motivation. The research method used in this study was research and development (R&D) with group B children in the Flamboyan PAUD Cluster unit. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. After obtaining the data, the researcher then tested the validity of the data, namely the validity test and the reliability test. The next step is to analyze the data, analyze the feasibility of the model obtained from validator experts, both media experts and material experts, and obtained from teacher responses and children's responses and analysis of the model's effectiveness. Based on the analysis results, it shows that the development of outdoor learning media is suitable for use in learning. Based on the children's cognitive abilities it is increased after treatment using the development of outdoor learning media based on nature with a repeating pattern.

Abstract

This study tests and analyzes job training, discipline, and wages on work effectiveness at PT Serumpun Indah Lestari. The phenomenon of decreasing work effectiveness can be seen from the income at PT Serumpun Indah Lestari, the existing income at this time has decreased from 2017 to 2021, which is not able to achieve the expected revenue target. In the problem of training carried out by the company at this time only has training for employees who are just working. Providing wages to some employees who are still below the Medan regional minimum wage makes employees feel unfair and unworthy, affecting their performance and effectiveness. The lack of discipline from work hours to attendance can make the production process smoother and more timely. This research uses quantitative research with the nature of explanatory, descriptive research. The number in the study was 132 employees. Simple random sampling is used as a sampling method. The sample used was 99 people. Questionnaires and data analysis collect data through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption, and hypothesis tests. In partial data testing, training variables positively and significantly affect work effectiveness at PT Serumpun Indah Lestari. Discipline positively and significantly affects work effectiveness at PT Serumpun Indah Lestari. Wages positively and significantly affect work effectiveness at PT Serumpun Indah Lestari. In simultaneous data analysis testing, training, discipline, and wages variables positively and significantly influenced work effectiveness at PT Serumpun Indah Lestari.

Abstract

Children with special needs require more optimal handling from teachers, but the reality in the field is that learning services for children with special needs are still not optimal. The purpose of this study was to analyze how learning services for children with disabilities through the role of teachers. The subjects in this study were teachers in inclusive school. This research is descriptive qualitative research with interview and documentation as data collection. Data analysis is carried out in 3 (three) stages there are data reduction, data coding, and data tabulation. The results showed those services for children with special needs carried out at the primary school for inclusive education organizers, the school provides services in the form of identification and assessment. Life skills development activities at the primary school organizing inclusive education are still limited to extracurricular activities, there are no special life skills development activities for children with special needs, extracurricular activities at the primary school organizing inclusive education already have several activities to develop the abilities and talents of students. Extracurricular activities are already running and are carried outside of school hours.
