Islamic Review merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Institut Pesantren Mathali'ul Falah (IPMAFA) Pati yang sebelumnya bernama Sekolah Tinggi Mathali’ul Falah Pati (STAIMAFA). Jurnal Islamic Review ini disingkat dengan “IR”. Dengan hadirnya jurnal “IR” ini diharapkan memberikan cakrawala baru mengenai keilmuan program studi (prodi) yang berada di bawah naungan IPMAFA, yaitu Pendidikan Bahasa Arab (PBA), Perbankan Syari’ah (PS), Pengembangan Masyarakat Islam (PMI), Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini (PIAUD), Manajemen Zakat dan Wakaf (ZAWA), Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam (KPI), dan Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI).

Abstract

Linguistic concept is a part of theory or the way to interpret Qur'an but it is still fuzzy. So, position the linguistic interpretation in this study is very important. In this case, attempting of systematize theories are used in the interpretation of the linguistic to position in the place that is found the exact meaning. From the result of the study is found that the linguistic position is in the realm of Qur'an interpretation can be seen from two aspects, namely language is as the language of the methodological and as theological argument. The first meaning it is presupposes that the language is usually manifest in the rules and theories. And the second, language is manifest a code of values that is ​ fought by al- Qur’an. The language of the Qur'an is sacred code system God, holy and sublime, human or system code of profane, historical, and cultural. isn’t it?

Abstract

The notion that education can be only begun after the age of primary school, it is not true. Even education is started to childhood, actually it has been already too late. To remember the importance of childhood were often termed the golden age, then it is needed an education or an agency can help to grow and develop all the potential of a child. Namely, an institute for early childhood education that can facilitate needs is needed by the child needs to optimize their potential by using good methods. In addition, it is also needed of thinkers who are able to create an Early Childhood Education institution in the future with good quality, and using Quality integrated Management (MMT) / Total Quality Management (TQM).

Abstract

Agreement to mediate is an agreement between the customer and the Bank in a banking mediation. Mediation is a process of settlement of dispute involving a mediator to assist the parties in dispute to achieve a settlement in the form of voluntary agreement to some or all of the problems disputed. According to Bank Indonesia Regulation No. 8/5/PBI/2006 as changed by PBI No. 10/1/PBI/2008 about Banking Mediation and SE BI No. 8/14/DPNP, June 1, 2006 about Banking Mediation, settlement can be done through banking mediation if the dispute between the customer and the Bank is caused by the non-fulfillment of the customer's financial claims by the Bank in settlement of the customer's complaint. The function of the banking mediation performed by Bank Indonesia is limited to the effort to assist the customer and the Bank to review the dispute basically in the framework of obtaining an agreement between the customer and the Bank. Bank Indonesia does not make a decision and or recommendation for the settlement of the dispute between the customer and the Bank.

Abstract

The discourse of epistemological conflict in the Islamic thought is still prevailing in this multicultural era. The emergence of inter-religious problem is one of a clear example that emanate from epistemological debate. This problem is expected to end through collaboration between the two, or at least epistemological dialogue. In the history of Islamic thought, there was a great debate between knowledge systems hud}u>ri> which was the continuation of ancient pre-islamic tradition (al-mauru>s\ al-qadi>m)- and knowledge of knowledge syar’i> (baya>ni). Ultimately, by integrating between hud}u>ri> and syar’i> or between z}a>hir and ba>t}in, the discourse is ended. Suhrawardi has combined between knowledge of hud}u>ri> with rational knowledge. Abstract

Gender equality-based education is education that accommodate gender differences. This study aims to reveal the gender sensitivity in social and educational as well as identify government policies in building gender equality and its applications in formal education.This study is qualitative with an inventory of government policies in building gender equality, and then analyze it with the reality of education in Indonesia. The approach used in this study is referring to the normative approach to the study of government policies in enforcing gender equality and its applications in formal education. The research data was collected using the techniques of literary study (library research). Materials that have been acquired and processed is described and analyzed by using descriptive interpretative paradigm and gender analysis. Although many efforts have been taken by the government for the realization of gender equality, but in the education sector still show gender inequality. The indication can be seen from three aspects, they are not unequal participation in education for women, unequal educational material as well as the selection of majors unequal proportions of men and women. The phenomenon is not yet reflect the totality of gender equality education.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi dan komputerisasi model pembelajaran tidak lagi bergantung pada seorang guru (Teacher Centred), text book atau mono media, tetapi lebih kepada penggalian serta pengembangan potensi anak didik dengan model pembelajaran modern seperti Quantum Teaching, Quantum learning, e-learning dan model lainnya yang lebih mengoptimalkan proses dan hasil dari suatu pembelajaran. Namun sayang, pembelajaran modern ini belum banyak yang menggunakan. Kalaupun ada, masih sanga tterbatas dan kurang maksimal. Untuk itu guru sebagai ujung tombak dalam suatu proses pembelajaran perlu mengembangkan SDM-nya masing-masing. Peran guru tidak lagi sebagai sumber tetapi sebagai media, motivator dan pembimbing dalam proses pembelajaran. Diantara penemuan teknologi baru itu adalah seperti komputer, internet, telepon dan video yang bias dimanfaatkan dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas dan keterampilan, kecakapan siswa (life skill).

Belum genap sebulan, kita masih disuguhi berita pengeboman di dua kota, Depok dan Solo. Upaya pencegahan oleh pemerintah seringkali kecolongan. Pengintaian di sana-sini, tetapi secara tiba-tiba bunyi ledakan itu terdengar dan tim gegana pun baru tiba. Lalu para tokoh agama sibuk mengutuk dan menyesalkan aksi kekerasan tersebut. Sejak ramainya aksi terorisme yang menunjuk salah satu agama, dalam hal ini Islam, sudah banyak dilakukan penelitian untuk meneliti akar dan motif aksi-aksi tersebut dengan berbagai pendekatan, termasuk agama. Dalam penelitian dengan pendekatan agama, model aksi itu kemudian diamati dan dikaji melalui pendekatan pemahaman keagamaan, seperti gagasan-gagasannya. Bahkan pernah muncul prejudice yang cukup berlebihan terhadap lembaga keagamaan pesantren dan buku-buku ajar pendidikan agama Islam. Keduanya diindikasikan memiliki peranan penting dalam menginspirasi pelaku agar berani melakukan tindakan kekerasan dengan mengatasnamakan agama. Barangkali penelitian semacam itu tidak sepenuhnya salah. Hanya saja, kemudian muncul pertanyaan yang cukup mengganjal. Mengapa dengan buku ajar yang sama terdapat pelajar-pelajar muslim –baca:santri- yang tidak kepincut untuk melakukan tindak kekerasan serupa?

Hal itu dilakukan atas kesadaran dan kemauan diri sendiri, bukan paksaan atau berpura-pura. Dan Islam merupakan agama yang diturunkan Allah untuk membimbing seluruh umat manusia ke jalan yang benar dan sesuai fitrah kemanusiaan. Islam diturunkan bukan kepada Nabi Muhammad saja, tapi diturunkan pula kepada seluruh nabi dan rasul, untuk dapat diajarkan dan disebarkan kepada seluruh umat manusia agar beriman hanya kepada Allah SWT. Karena Allah SWT adalah Tuhan kebebasan dan cinta yang berlaku universal. Oleh karena itu Tuhan memberi manusia pilihan-pilihan dan kebebasan untuk menentukannya, dan mencintai sesama makhluk Tuhan berarti meyakini akan kemampuan untuk menentukan pilihan sendiri. Jika ini dipahami oleh kaum muslim maka tidak akan lagi muncul praktek Islamo-tribalis dalam tubuh Islam (hlm. vii). Irshad memaparkan Ada perbedaan antara iman dan dogma. Iman tidak melarang eksplorasi, dogma yang melarang. Secara intrinsik, dogma terancam oleh pertanyaan­pertanyaan, sementara iman menerima pertanyaan­pertanyaan karena iman meyakini bahwa Tuhan yang Maha Pengasih, bisa menghadapi semua itu. Itulah Tuhan yang rahmat­Nya bisa dirasakan oleh individu­individu yang penuh rasa ingin tahu di manapun juga. Dogma yang berasal dari budaya, bahkan ketika berposisi sebagai agama yang sakral, tidak pantas memiliki hak. Budaya bukanlah makhluk suci dengan kehendak bebas dan nurani; individulah yang demikian. Budaya tidak bicara untuk dirinya sendiri; manusialah yang bicara untuknya. Memberikan hak pada sesuatu yang bisa langgeng hanya melalui penilaian, persepsi, dan tindakan manusia sungguh berbahaya sekali karena memperkuat kekuasaan yang sudah kuat

Abstract

This paper would like to analyze how the positioning of pesantren and Kiai in viewing education through out Kiai Sahal perspective. As thinker from the circle of Pesantren, Kiai Sahal was become an original thinker and jurist from pesantren. According to Kiai Sahal, education interpreted as the process of implementing a good habit and characteristic in the behavior of student. According to him, education is not only the process of transfer of knowledge but also the process of shaping student to be insan al-kamil and akram. Finally, this paper conclude some views from the thought of Kyai Sahal. Fisrt, Education according to Kyai Sahal the process to inhabit student the perfect characteristic throught guidance and role so that the student have malakah (isntink) and awareness to do good did. Second, the term of tafaqquh fi> ad-di>n according to Kyai Sahal is interpreted as managing all the capability of student so that they can be get hapyness in this world and here after. Third the goal of Islamic education within pesantren according to Kyai Sahal is to get a happynes in this world and here after (Sa‘a>dah fi> ad-da>rain). Fourth, from the progeressive thinking of Kyai Sahal, education has some basics; religion, social, politic or policy, psychological view and philoshophy. Finally the goal of education in pesantren is to combine between llm and aml.

Abstract

The differences of Arabic and Indonesian language as well as the imposition of a learning system that requires students to communicate in Arabic in any time results in many mistakes while practicing the language among the students of Modern Islamic Boarding School of Gontor, especially in term of vocabulary. Such mistaken language is a unique one, because it creates a style of their own new language. Therefore, this study is conducted that focuses on the vocabulary formation. Synchronic linguistic approach to the theory of contrastive morphology modern Arab-Indonesia in particular phonemes that are strengthened by data analysis methods and percieving (observation) is used to analyze the common daily language of the students. The study results showed that the formation of a new vocabulary that differs from the recognized rules of Arabic is divided into two, namely internal (lexical shape changes which is still in the category of Arabic language) and external (lexical form changes which come under the category of Indonesian language). While the changing of vocabulary includes nouns and verbs.
