Abstract

Abstract : Many factors are often used as a benchmark educational success. One way is to look at the success of the teaching-learning process in achieving its objectives. Another factor that plays an important role at this time is the motivation of the learners in order to prepare himself to initiate a learning process. His relationship with the motivation, it is very often encountered, especially in the scope of the lecture. As there is in fact now a student many reasons to come to the lecture room just to simply fill out the list of attendance or absenteeism. Especially for subjects who according to them are not in line with the course of study they pursue, automatically by themselves they actually underestimate the course. In the course of learning, motivation can be considered as the overall driving force within the students that cause, ensure continuity and provide direction and learning activities, so that the expected objectives can be achieved. Motivation affects the interest in learning a learner because the motivation is the driving force that is in a person to perform certain activities in order to achieve a goal.Keywords: Motivation to Learn

Abstract

Abstract :The study was based by low mathematics learning outcomes. This is caused by teachers who are more active in the learning process, whereas students only receive materials, frequently asked questions and noted that learning math is very boring for students. Cooperative learning model snowball drilling is one of the learning models are applied in order to give a good impact on the outcome of students' mathematics learning. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA archipelago Jambi .. Sampling using probability sampling while the sample is drawn is the class Xb and Xa, in which two classes of samples are given different treatment. From the results of research conducted an average score for the class of experiment was 67.82 with a standard deviation of 10.91 and a control class averages 62.62 with a standard deviation of 11.39. As well as from the results of hypothesis test obtained t calculate equal to 1,734 and t table of 1.684. From the calculation it is seen that t is greater t table then H1 accepted or it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students who apply cooperative learning model Snowball Drilling better than the results of learning mathematics applying conventional teaching students in class X SMA Nusantara city of Jambi. Keywords :Learning Outcomes Mathematics , Cooperative Learning Model Drilling Snowball and Conventional Teaching

Abstract

Abstract: The purposeof thisstudywas to determine problems facedby SDYPMM (Yayasan Pendidikan Mayang Mangurai) Tebing Tinggi, District of Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi Province In2013’sCurriculum (K-13)Implementation andanalyzes trategiesu sedto over comethese problems. This research is aqualitati vedescriptive study. Abstract

Abstract: Education is an attempt to develop ability, to establish personality, and to build dignified civilization in order to educate the certain nation. Furthermore, education is a media that is supposed to educate generations. Education is presented to build whole personality, cultured and civilized, whether through formal or informal education. Education as a system is human work in a form of component which has a functional relationship in developing transformational process or changes in person’s behavior in order to gain particular quality. Education is also a preventive alternative in building better generation.            In orde to achieve these education goals, education institution is needed as an organizer of formal, informal, and non formal education. Those three organization has been a part of Indonesian history in education system. Like what Ki Hajar Dewantara stated that education in Indonesian has been occurred in Indonesia before colonization era until national movement in a form of course in written and oral general knowledge, discussion group, politics course, and public school that has been into a program that appears in whole modern organization in that era.Keyword : Education, Formal Education, Informal Education and Non-Formal Education

Abstract

Abstract :The ability of students' understanding of mathematical concepts is a basic ability to be possessed by students in the learning of mathematics. Cooperative learning comes from the concept that students will more easily find and understand difficult concepts if they discuss each type of cooperative learning model two stay two stray is a learning model that is able to activate students in the group. This research is quasy experiment. population in this study were students of class VII SMPN 22 Tebo which consisted of two classes. Sampling using purposive sampling.Where two classes of samples are given different treatment. From the results of research conducted an average score for the class of experiment was 61.61 with a standard deviation of 12.42 and a control class averages 54.00 with a standard deviation of 12.31. As well as from the results of hypothesis test obtained t of 2.20 and 1.67 t table.The calculation it is seen that t count bigger than ttabel then H1 accepted. Based on the final results can be concluded that the students' understanding of mathematical concepts that apply Cooperative Learning Model Two Stay Two Stray type is better than learning model directly on students in class VII SMPN 22 Tebo. Keyword :Understanding of Mathematical Concepts , Cooperative Learning Model Type Two Stay Two Stray , Direct Learning Model

Abstract

Abstract : This classroom Action research is conducted at grade VII of Private Junior High School Adhyaksa which is consist of 28 student. This research begin with the problem faced at grade VII Private Junior High School Adhyaksa, namely low learning achievement on social science, because teacher use conventional method which influence to score of student. According to the previous problem that lack of student participation on social science, and then the process of teaching and learning activity is dominated by teacher or teacher centered, otherwise student do not understand the subject, lack of asking question, only silent, and chatting  each other while process of learning. By doing this research is hoped the learning through group discussion method will improve student learning achievement on social science. The objective of this research is to increase student learning achievement on social science on theme natural resources grade IV that the use group discussion method. The kind of this research is Classroom Action Research in two cycles, each cycles consist of four stages namely Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The collecting of data is for namely (1) test, (2) Observation. The result of the research indicatess the successful in increasing student learning achievement on social science through group discussion method thata can be seen by average is 58,57 in first cycle and more increase in second cycle is 84,29. According to preliminary study  on student learning achievement is 33,33 % increase to 58,57 % on first cycle and more high in second cycle is 84,29 %. Based on this result is hoped to get information and input for teacher, and all stake holders at Private Junior High School Adhyaksa Jambi.Keywords  :Method of Learning, Group Learning and Achievement

Abstract

Abstract: The Purpose of this research is to describe: (1) Indonesian language errors of class VIII D students in MTsN Lubuk Buaya City of  Padang in writing official letters through syntax perspective; and (2) the level of students capability in writing official letters through some aspects, such as; spelling, diction, and sentence structure. To gain those purposes, analysis should be done. Furthermore, students’ language errors in writing official letters should be categorized.  The result of the research shows that (1) Indonesian language errors of class VIII D students in MTsN Lubuk Buaya Cityof Padang in writing official letters in syntax point of view covers spelling, diction, and sentence structure; and (2) the level of students capability in writing official letters is very low. There are only 25,83% of the students (7 students) who master spelling, there are 31,67 % of the students (9 students) who master in diction, and 40% of the students (12 students) who master sentence structure. Abstract

Abstract : This school action research is aimed at increasing the ability of School Development Team in designing School Development Program through training in a form of (Pelatihan and Pendampingan or LATDAMPING ) The subjects of this research are School Development Team ( SDT ) of SMA N 5, SMA PGRI 2, SMA Bina Kasih and SMA Unggul Ikabama Kota Jambi.The Data about School Development Program was collected through interview, document, observation and instrument. This research consists of two cycles. The result of sycle 1 states that achievement of SMA N 5 is 75%, SMA PGRI 2 reached 76%, SMA Bina Kasih reached 76% too and SMA Unggul Ikabama got 68%. There increasing percentage of each school  is SMA N 5 50%, SMA PGRI 2 50%, SMA Bina Kasih 58.8% and SMA Unggul Ikabama 60%. In cycle two, the four schools got  high increase. The result of SMA N 5 reached 84%, SMA PGRI 2 reached 88%, SMA Bina Kasih reached 86%, and SMA Unggul Ikabama 78% Based on this result can be concluded that LATDAMPING is significant enough to increase the ability of SDT in designing School Development program.Keywords: Pelatihan, Pendampingan, RKS, EDS

Abstract

Abstract: This research was a quasi experimental research by using non-equivalent control group design. The objective of this research was to find out whether there is a significant influence of using picture toward students’ achievement in preposition of place. This research used the eleventh grade students of SMK YADIKA Lubuklinggau as the research subject. There were two classes which were used in this research; they were class XIA which consisted of 42 students as the experiment class and class XIB which consisted of 42 students as the control class. The experiment class was taught by using picture whereas the control class was not taught by using picture. Both classes were chosen by using sensus sample as the sampling technique. The instrument used in this research was a written test about preposition of place consisting of multiple choice items. From the data analysis, it was found that the value of tcount = 6,72 while ttable or t (0,05) (82) = ±1,99. The result analysis showed that tcount was outside the acceptance area of H0 whether it was tested by using significance level ( ) = 0, 05 or ( ) = 0, 01. Therefore, the gain score in experiment and control class was found out very significant. Besides, the mean score of post-test in experiment class is 11,78 point was higher than the mean score of post-test in control class. The finding proved that students’ achievement in preposition of place of the class which was taught using picture was better than the class which was not taught using picture. Therefore, it can be concluded that picture has a significant influence toward students’ achievement in learning preposition of place. It was found that pictures can be used for teachers of English in teaching preposition of place. Keywords: Picture, Achievement, Preposition of Place

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the principal leadership and the teacher competence consisting of pedagogic competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence on the performance of teachers in SMK City of Jambi. The population in this study was the teacher of existing productive fields in the SMK City of Jambi totaling 136 people. By using proportional random sampling technique analysis, the obtained of samples with the number of teachers is 94. The method of analysis used is path analysis, where the data acquisition is done through questionnaires, interviews, and literature as a reference for this study. The results showed that the influences of positive and significant the principal leadership and the teacher competence on performance of teachers in the productive field of SMK City of Jambi.Keyword :Principal Leadership, Teacher Competence and Performance of Teacher
