Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian Toksisitas Ekstrak Daun Srikaya (Annona squamosa Linn.) Terhadap Jamur Fusarium sp. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara in vitro dengan tujuan untuk menngetahui toksisitas ekstrak metanol daun sirsak terhadap jamur Fusarium sp penyebab layu kecambah pada tanaman. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 6 perlakuan 5 kali ulangan. Ekstrak metanol daun srikaya yang dipakai yaitu konsentrasi 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% dan 10%. Hasil analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa pemberian perlakuan ekstrak daun srikaya berpengaruh nyata terhadap jamur Fusarium sp. Ekstrak daun srikaya bersifat toksik terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Fusarium sp. Toksisitas ekstrak daun srikaya terhadap jamur Fusarium sp berbanding lurus  antara konsentrasi perlakuan dengan persentase penghambatannya. Pada konsentrasi ekstrak daun srikaya sebanyak 2% sudah bersifat toksik dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Fusarium sp.

Abstract

Pulau Salah The name is also called Banjar Island is located in Banyuasin 1 Kelurahan Mariana Ilir Sungai Musi Sumatera Selatan. Area of Island Salah Name about 170 ha. Phytoplankton is one of the parameters of water fertility. Algae or phytoplankton can act as one ecological parameter that can describe the condition of a waters and is also an important biotic component in the metabolism of water bodies, since it is the primary link in the food chain of aquatic ecosystems. The purpose of the study was to provide information on the composition, abundance and diversity of phytoplankton in South Sumatra's Wrong Island. The research was conducted on Pulau Salah Nama, sampling was conducted in 5 stations. The study was conducted in August 2016, November 2016 and January 2017. The study found 3 classes of phytoplankton namely Bacillariophyceae, Chlorophyceae and Cyanophyceae. The highest composition is found in the Bacillariophyceae class. The abundance of phytoplankton ranges from 4.2 × 10 3 cells / l to 2,34 × 10 5 cells / l. The phytoplankton diversity index in Pulau Salah Nama is 0-3 belonging to category 1 <H '<3 is said to be the stability of the moderate biota community.

Abstract

Research on Morphology Orchidaceae Plants in the Botanical Garden Liwa West Lampung Regency of Lampung Province, has been carried out in February - March 2017, aims to examine the types and morphological descriptions Familia Orchidaceae plants in the Botanical Garden Liwa, was conducted using descriptive survey method by doing direct observation on Nursery location in Liwa Botanical Garden. Results of the study were 25 Orchid species, namely : Agrostophyllum bicuspidatum J.J.Smith., Agrostophyllum majus Hook.F., Anoectyllus sp., Appendiculata torta Blume., Arundina graminifolia Blume., Bulbophylum lepidum J.J.Smith., Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis J.J.Smith.¸ Coelogyne asperata Lindl., Coelogyne speciosa Lindl., Dendrobium crumenatum Lindl., Dendrobium montanum J.J.Smith., Eria flavescens Blume., Eria iridifolia Hook.F., Eria nutans Lindl., Goodyera sp., Gramatophyllum speciosum Blume., Liparis gibbosa Finet., Malaxis sp., Nephelaphyllum pulcrum Blume., Paphiopedilum tonsum Rchb.F., Pholidota imbricata W.J.Hoocke., Pholidota ventricosda Blume., Pomatocalpa kunsteri Hook.F., Thecostele alata (Roxb.)Par. & Rchb.F., dan Tricotosia feroxi Blume. Species obtained has a root system fibers with root specific functions of the roots patches and aerial roots, rod-type herbaceous and pseudobulb, type of stem growth simpodial and monopodial, single leaf, leaf types of lancet, elongated, oval, swords, ribbon and heart, flowering single and plural in bunches with growth type of flos terminalis and flos axillary.ABSTRAKPenelitian tentang struktur morfologi Familia Orchidaceae di Kebun Raya Liwa (KRL) telah dilaksanakan  pada Maret-Juli 2017, bertujuan untuk mengkaji tipe morfologi akar, batang, daun dan bunga familia Orchidaceae yang tersebar di KRL, dengan mendeskripsikan  25 species Orchidaceae yaitu  Agrostophyllum bicuspidatum J.J.Smith., Agrostophyllum majus Hook.F., Anoectyllus sp., Appendiculata torta Blume., Arundina graminifolia Blume., Bulbophylum lepidum J.J.Smith., Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis J.J.Smith.¸ Coelogyne asperata Lindl., Coelogyne speciosa Lindl., Dendrobium crumenatum Lindl., Dendrobium montanum J.J.Smith., Eria flavescens Blume., Eria iridifolia Hook.F., Eria nutans Lindl., Goodyera sp., Gramatophyllum speciosum Blume., Liparis gibbosa Finet., Malaxis sp., Nephelaphyllum pulcrum Blume., Paphiopedilum tonsum Rchb.F., Pholidota imbricata W.J.Hoocke., Pholidota ventricosda Blume., Pomatocalpa kunsteri Hook.F., Thecostele alata (Roxb.) Par. & Rchb.F., dan Tricotosia feroxi Blume. Spesies yang diperoleh memiliki sistem akar serabut dengan akar khusus akar udara, batang herbaceous dan pseudobulb, jenis pertumbuhan batang simpodial dan monopodial, daun tunggal, jenis daun lanset, memanjang, oval, pedang, pita dan jantung. Bunga tunggal dan majemuk dalam tandan dengan jenis pertumbuhan flos terminalis dan flos axillar.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Lake Toba is the largest lake in Indonesia with an area of 113,000 hectares of water. Lake stock assessment activities carried out to see the current Lake Toba fishery stock. This is necessary as one of the right efforts to maintain the sustainability of fish resources to be maintained, even the production can beimproved. This research estimated the standing stock in Lake Toba by using hydroacoustic method. The tool used is the echosounder BIOSONIC DT-X which is placed as transduser divided bim (split beam echosounder) 200 KHz. The calculation results obtained standing stock seen from the density / total fish density in the waters of Lake Toba, which is  40 kg / ha. When converted to the extent of Lake Toba 113,000 hectares, the standing stock of Lake Toba is 4,520 tons. proportional to the production of fishermen catches of 4,236.56 tons. This value decreased from previous years.Therefore, the management of capture fisheries in Lake Toba, such as the establishment of a conservation zone with good supervision and fish-glass control in order not to become invasive species. Keywords: Toba Lake, density, hidroacoustic, standing stock ABSTRAK abstrakDanau Toba merupakan danau terbesar di Indonesia dengan luas perairan 113.000 hektar. Kegiatan  kajian  stok Danau dilakukan untuk melihat stok perikanan Danau Toba saat ini.  Hal ini diperlukan sebagai  salah  satu  upaya yang  tepat  untuk  menjaga kelestarian  sumber  daya  ikan supaya dapat dipertahankan, bahkan  produksinya dapat  ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengestimasi standing stock di Danau Toba dengan menggunakan metode hidroakustik. Alat yang digunakan adalah echo sounder BIOSONIC DT-X yang ditempatkan sebagai transduser bim terbagi (split beam echosounder) 200 KHz. Hasil perhitungan didapatkan standing stock yang dilihat dari densitas/kepadatan ikan total di perairan Danau Toba, yaitu 40 kg/ha. Apabila dikonversikan dengan luas Danau Toba 113.000 hektar, maka standing stock Danau Toba adalah 4.520 ton, sebanding dengan produksi hasil tangkapan nelayan sebesar 4.236,56 ton. Nilai ini mengalami penurunan dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengelolaan perikanan tangkap di Danau Toba, seperti penetapan zona konservasi dengan pengawasan yang baik dan pengendalian ikan kaca-kaca agar tidak menjadi spesies invasif. Kata kunci : Danau Toba, densitas ikan, hidroakustik, standing stock

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the physical properties of wall paint by utilizing teak leaf extract containing carotenoids as natural dyes. Exploration of teak leaf extract is done by boiling teak leaves using 350 ml of water until boiling and filtering with screen mash T100. As an adhesive used 75 grams of tapioca flour and quicklime mixture with a composition ratio of 1: 3, 1: 1 and 3: 1. The solvents used are aqudes and fillers are white cement and PVAc glue. In this study the process of making paint is done by mixing all ingredients from pigments, adhesives, and solvents until homogeneous. Testing of the physical properties of paint, carried out through the test density, viscosity, and adhesion. The results of this study indicate that the composition of the most optimum paint formulation is found in the variation of adhesive with a ratio of 3: 1 which results in a density value of 1.26 gr / ml, viscosity 0.26 poise and adhesion power of 95%.

Abstract

The study of zooplankton abundance as an indicator of water fertility in the Banjiran swamp in the Sedang Village of Suak Tapeh Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency was conducted in July to August 2017. The zooplankton sampling method was carried out at 3 (three) stations namely nebong kuning swamp station (station 1), poron swamp (station 2) and banan swamp (station 3) using purposive random sampling method. Data obtained in this study include data on zooplankton composition, zooplankton abundance index and zooplankton dominance index. While the data analysis was carried out descriptively. The results of zooplankton identification obtained during the study found 8 (eight) genera of zooplankton consisting of 3 (three) classes, namely Monogononta 1 genus, Mastigophora 5 genus and Ciliate 2 genus. The highest zooplankton abundance was found at station 1 kuning nebong swamp and banan swamp with an average value of 1.75 ind / L and 1,5 ind/L indicating the level of fertility of the floodwaters belongs to the mesotrophic category and the lowest at station 2 poron swamp with an average value of 0.92 ind / L indicating the level of fertility of the floodwaters in the Sedang village of Suak Tapeh Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency belongs to the oligotrophic category.

Abstract

Research on motor vehicle noise reduction has been carried out with natural barriers in the form of plant cluster lengths. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plant cluster length as a natural barrier to reduce motor vehicle noise levels. This study uses a purposive sampling method, where in the study of noise level measurements carried out at selected points and determined in accordance with existing plant clusters at the study site. The tools used in this study are sound level meter, stopwatch, roll meter and tripod. Sound level meters are placed in front of plant clusters and behind plant clusters at a height of 120cm above ground level. The noise level in front of and behind the planting cluster is measured simultaneously for 30 days during the daytime measurement activity. The data obtained were analyzed using one factorial variance analysis in the form of plant cluster length. The results showed that the noise reduction by the cluster of cape, bungur, Tembesi, mahogany and palm clusters with a cluster length of 25m was 10.5 dB; 8,6dB; 9,1dB; 5,4dB and 5,2dB, the length of the 20m plant cluster is 9.5 dB; 7.5dB; 6,4dB; 4.0 dB and 4.4 dB, the plant cluster length of 17.5 m is 5.9 dB; 5,8dB; 5,1dB; 3,4dB and 3,8dB, the length of the 15m plant cluster is 4.2 dB; 3,5dB; 3,9dB; 2,9dB and 3,1dB, the length of the 10m plant cluster is 3,8dB; 3,3dB; 2,7dB; 2,3dB and 2,7dB, and the 7.5m plant cluster length is 3,08dB; 3,1dB; 1,6dB; 1.7dB and 1.8dB. From BNT test with 99% confidence level showed that the greater difference in plant cluster length has a very significant effect on noise level reduction.

Abstract

ABSTRACTPainted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis) is one of the reptiles found in the coastal area of Pusong Seruway Island, Aceh Tamiang Regency. Currently, the existence of wild population of painted terrapin is threatened to extinction due to factors of nature and community activities. The local government of Aceh Tamiang Regency has already protected painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis) and listed it as protected species. This research is a descriptive exploratory survey to reveal the symptom and phenomenon of communities concerning their participation in the conservation of painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis). Result of research was based on survey conducted in three villages with samples of 100 respondents given questionnaire through purposive random sampling technique. Data of ethnic communities consisted of; Tamiang, Aceh, Javanese, Batak and Arabic. Ethnozoology of communities obtained value local knowledge of communities as a form of awareness on animal protection included; participation in the sea turtle hatchling release, reduction in the exploitation activity of utilizing painted terrapin eggs (Batagur borneoensis) as srikaya (food) and traditional medicine, willingness not to take or disturb the animal and if they find painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis), they will return the animal to its habitat or give it to the conservation team. A small part of the community joined in the assistance rescue group for painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis). Keywords: ethnozoology, conservation of painted terrapin (Batagur borneoensis).

Abstract

ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian yang berjudul Isolasi dan Identifikasi Senyawa Alkaloid dari Daun Tumbuhan Senggugu (Clerodendron serratum Spreng) yang dilaksanakan dari bulan April s.d. bulan November 2010 di Laboratorium Genetika dan Bioteknologi, Jurusan Biologi Fakultas MIPA Universitas Sriwijaya untuk pengujian hasil penelitian yaitu penentuan spektrofotometri dilaksanakan di Lab.Kimia Analisa Instrumen UPI Bandung . Isolasi senyawa aktif dilakukan secara bertahap dimulai dari proses ekstraksi, fraksinasi, kromatografi lapis tipis (KLT), dan pemurnian senyawa aktif dengan menggunakan kromatografi kolom gravitasi. Identifikasi senyawa alkaloid menggunakan spektrofotometer UV, IR, dan GC-MS. Hasil KLT didapat senyawa aktif yang terdapat pada daun senggugu termasukgolongan senyawa alkaloid dengan Rf 0,45 dengan warna kuning kecoklatan. Hasil pemurnian senyawa aktif dengan menggunakan kromatografi kolom gravitasi diperoleh fraksi aktif pada F 3.3, Dari hasil pengujian menggunakan spektrofotometer uv, infra red dan gc-ms diperoleh senyawa golongan alkaloid dengan berat molekul 70 gram/mol dan rumus molekul C 2 H 2 N 2 O.Kata kunci: Isolasi, Identifikasi, Clerodendron serratum, alkaloid

Abstract

The Tuba Root Toxicity Test (Derris eliptica) study on Tilapia Seed Mortality (Oreochromis sp.) Aims to determine the concentration of tubal root extract causing 50% mortality of test animals (LC50) and mid-time (LT50) mortality of tilapia seeds. The study was conducted in March s.d in May 2017 at the integrated PGRI Zoological Laboratory of Palembang University. Toxicity test using bioassay with 8 hours exposure time. The tested concentrations were 0.26%, 0.34%, 0.44%, 0.57%, 0.74% and 0.95% were applied for 8 hours. The results of the concentration of 1 hour LC50 tube root extract were 0,549%, 2 hours 0,653%, 3 hours 0,437%, 4 hours 0,307%, 5 hours 0,228%, 6 hours 0,142%, 7 hours 0,142% and 8 hours Of 0.142%. Mid-time (LT50) tuba root extract, LT50 0.26% for 4.619 minutes, LT50 0.34% for 4.075 minutes, LT50 0.44% for 2.393 minutes, LT50 0.57% for 1.561 minutes, LT50 0.74 % For 1,102 minutes, and LT50 0.95% did not show the probit results of the SPSS application, since the whole test animal had died. ABSTRAK Penelitian Uji Toksisitas Akar Tuba (Derris eliptica) terhadap Mortalitas Benih Ikan Nila (Oreochromis sp.) bertujuan untuk mengetahui  konsentrasi ekstrak akar tuba yang menyebabkan kematian 50% hewan uji (LC50)  dan waktu tengahan  (LT50) kematian benih ikan nila. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret s.d bulan Mei 2017 bertempat di Laboratorium Zoologi terpadu Universitas PGRI Palembang. Uji toksisitas mengunakan metode bioassay dengan waktu pendedahan selama 8 jam. Konsentrasi yang diujikan 0,26%, 0,34%, 0,44%, 0,57%, 0,74% dan 0,95% yang diaplikasikan selam 8 jam. Hasil konsentrasi ekstrak akar tuba LC50 1 jam sebesar 0,549%, 2 jam 0,653%, 3 jam 0,437%, 4 jam sebesar 0,307%, 5 jam sebesar 0,228%, 6 jam sebesar 0,142%, 7 jam sebesar 0,142% dan 8 jam sebesar 0,142%. Waktu tengahan (LT50) ekstrak akar tuba, yaitu LT50 0,26% selama 4,619 menit, LT50 0,34% selama 4,075 menit, LT50 0,44% selama 2,393 menit, LT50 0,57% selama 1,561 menit, LT50 0,74%  selama 1,102  menit, dan LT50 0,95% tidak menunjukan hasil probit dari aplikasi SPSS, dikarenakan keseluruhan hewan uji telah mengalami kematian. Kata kunci: toksisitas, akar tuba, nila, LC50, LT50.
