This study was aims to analyze critical thinking skills and mathematical problem solving in junior high school students with a Problem Based Learning approach in the matter of straight line equations. This study was conducted in class VIII F consisting of 36 students at CILILIN 1 Public High School. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The instrument used is a description test instrument. The results of this study indicate that critical thinking skills and mathematical problem solving and the independence of students in class VIII F taught with the PBL approach are still relatively low. Factors that cause these conditions include students who do not understand the strategies in solving problems and in the ability to think critically students are not careful in answering questions and are not complete in the steps to answer the questions

This study aimed to analyze and study about applying realistic mathematic approach to Mathematical creative thinking ability and Mathematical logical thinking ability MTs students. the method used in this study is the method of paired samples with quantitative data. The population in this study were students of MTs in West Bandung regency with a sample of 25 people who set out with purposive sampling technique in one of the private MTs in West Bandung regency. Instruments in this study a mathematical creative thinking ability tests by 4 items and test mathematical ability to think logically as one item. Then the results of this study came to the conclusion that, the relationship between these two variables showed a positive direction and the average mathematical ability to think creatively is not lower than the average of mathematical logical thinking ability if applied by realistic mathematic approach.

This study aims to determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities on trigonometry material. The population in this study were students of class X of Mahardhika Vocational School consisting of 33 X-1 graders majoring in Accounting and 33 X-3 Accounting students. The data analysis technique is done by giving a score on the students' answers to the test, presenting data, doing data verification, and drawing conclusions based on the analysis of the data obtained. Mathematical learning outcomes data in the form of posttest scores were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analytic statistics. The statistical test is the normality test, homogeneity test, t-test. The results of this study indicate that the results of student learning tests in the experimental class have an average value of 53.15 and the test results in the control class have an average value of 52.15. Based on the results of the t-test it can be seen from the significant data which is 0.873> 0.05 so that H0 is accepted. So that there is no significant difference between the experimental class students and the control class with mathematical problem solving skills in trigonometric material

The purpose of this descriptive study was to determine the ability of creative thinking and self-efficacy mathematical students of class VIII SMP Pasundan 1. The subject of this research is students of class VIII which consists of 36 students. Data collection techniques namely the test sheet mathematical creative thinking abilities of students and the questionnaire of self efficacy (Mastery Experience, Vicarious Experience, Verbal Persuasion, and Physiological and Affective states), interview and documentation. Based on the analysis of data ability to think creatively and questionnaires self efficacy, showed that the creative thinking Abilities of JUNIOR high school students Pasundan 1 Cimahi class VIII on the material equation of a straight line is already largely achieve the indicator of the ability to think creatively. This is indicated by the percentage of the ability of mathematical creative thinking reached 69%, Self-efficacy mathematical students of SMP Pasundan 1 Cimahi class VIII in the material equation of a straight line in the category that most is good. It is based on the results of the percentage of self efficacy up to 61%, and Self-efficacy mathematical students who have confidence will be successful in resolving the matter affects the level of mathematical creative thinking of students.

This study aims to determine the ability of creative thinking of mathematics students at MTs Al-Basyariyah with indicator of the ability to think creatively mathematics students used was the fleuncy, flexibility originality and elaboration and to investigate the self concept of students at each point statement. This study was conducted to 36 students in MTs Al-Basyariyah using qualitative descriptive method. Instruments used in the form of four items of mathematical creative thinking abilities of students in the set and the questionnaire included 30 statements consisting of 23 statements positive and 7 negative statement. The conclusion of this study is the ability to think creatively mathematics students of MTs Al-Basyariyah still low with a percentage of 51% and self-concept is still low with a percentage of 43%.

In this study the authors analyzed the difficulties of students in the process of the ability of mathematical creative thinking skills and to determine student learning interest in each item statement. Based on the analysis, for the material the straight Equation error made by students in working on creative thinking questions is the mastery of the concept of the material resulting in 67.63% of 34 creative students. The question instrument used is a question that has been tested for reliability, validity, differential power and difficulty index has also been validated by an expert validator. The interest in studying junior high school students is only reaching 59.20% in straight line equations. The indicator of student interest in learning gained the smallest percentage of 56.09% so that it influenced other indicators. The research method uses descriptive qualitative analysis to find out in depth the achievement of indicators of creative thinking skills and mathematical learning interest in each item statement. Based on the results of the overall research that the achievement of indicators of the ability to think creatively and the learning interest of students is still low.

This study aims to determine the reasoning abilities of high school students and describe the types of student errors in solving trigonometry problems. The form of research used is descriptive qualitative research, with the object of research being students of class X Language at SMA Albidayah. The selected students are students who have studied trigonometric material. The students who were sampled were 24 students. With the selected sample is a sample that has high, moderate and low mathematical abilities seen from academic achievement. In this study, students were given tests with instruments in the form of questions consisting of 4 items based on students' mathematical reasoning. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the results of the test analysis of students' mathematical reasoning abilities in trigonometry material are said to be sufficient, namely by the percentage of 43.739%. The type of error based on the Watson category is carried out by students with high, medium, and low ability, namely incorrect data / incorrect data, improper procedures, incorrect data, and other than seven errors / others.

Problem solving ability has the benefit that can train the students such as in comprehensing the problem, planning the solve, problem solving, and construing the solution. The aim of this research is to analyze students’ problem solving abilities in senior high school at XI grades on matrix aplication material. Students’ problem solving abilities through story exercise forem is still low because it’s still many students that can not construe the story exercise into math form. This research used the qualitative descriptive method to analyzed students’ problem solving abilities in solve the story exercise. The result of this research is students that can not construe the story exercise into math form is can not solve the problem which is given, and the students can construe the story exercise into math form is can solve the problem, even though there are some students that can not solve exercise yet by the right solution.

Mathematical connection ability is the ability of students to understand the interrelationship between mathematical concepts, the relevance of mathematics with other subjects and the relevance of mathematics to solving problems in everyday life. The method used in this study is a Descriptive Qualitative Method with the aim of analyzing the results of student answers to mathematical connections and self efficacy search questionnaire of SMP 7 Naringgul students in West Cianjur regency. The samples studied were 20 students in class 7 Naringgul, West Cianjur Regency. The test used is a question of mathematical connections as much as 4 questions and non-test questions self esteem is given to each student. The results of the analysis obtained are the mathematical connection ability in high schools in West Bandung district based on written description tests are still relatively low.

Mathematical communication is a dialogue about the transfer of mathematical messages in writing or verbally containing mathematical material in the form of concepts, formulas, or problem-solving strategies. One aspect of the indicator in mathematical communication is expressing mathematical ideas through writing. This study aims to analyze the difficulties of students in working on mathematical communication problems in geometry. The approach in this study uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive methods. The instrument used in the form of communication skills test in the form of description, the number of questions as much as 1 item, the question is given to class IX students as many as 29 students in one of the Public Middle Schools in West Bandung Regency. The results of the study showed that students' ability to express mathematical ideas through writing on geometry material on mathematical questions containing 3 aspects, namely (1) Writing down the data is known and asked, (2) Solving problems with mathematical symbols, (3) Illustrating solutions with images, still relatively very low, only 16% of the students' answers reached the maximum score.
