Abstract

Today, many companies outsource the new recruiting process. Recruitment of outsourced labor by the outsourcing service tenant is because the Company can reduce operating costs and improve the company. However, it is not comparable to outsourced employees to the services of tenant companies outsourcing services. Based on these conditions, the researchers analyze the relationship of employees in an outsourcing service company in Indonesia using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The results show there are two attributes that belong to “concentrate these“category which means the company's performance has not been maximized for outsourcing employees. These attributes are the accuracy of salary payments and the nominal salary that is generated every month.

Abstract

Jakarta is a city with high level of traffic problems caused by large number of vehicles. To solve this problem, the local government signed the agreement to build a mass rapid transportation (Monorail) which is assumed more comfortable, faster and cheaper. A feasibility study in term of financial analysis to determine which project should be chosen based on total number of passengers scenarios and the composition of passengers in three ticket price levels (Rp. 3500, Rp. 5500, and Rp. 7500) is described in this research. Using the NVP and the payback period methods, this research concluded that scenario 4, with total number of passengers 150000 persons/day, will provide the highest profit (Rp.890.208.651.879) at a composition number of passengers 1:1:1. This project will still be considered feasible if the total number of passengers decrease at the level of max 42%/day. The lost position is at the level 75000 passengers / day with composition of passengers 2:2:1. At a level of 75000 passengers / day, the project will profit by the increase number of passengers up to 100000/day at 3rd year, with the composition 3:2:1. Another alternative is by establishing a ticket price at Rp2500 for the first 2 years operation time and at Rp. 1000 for the next 20 years, with total number of passengers is 75000 in 1st year, 100000 in 2nd, 125000 in 3rd, 150000 at 4th and continues at this level until the 20th year. The profit will be at Rp 831.133.279.548 by that time and the payback period is 9 years and 1.7 months, predicted. Keywords: Financial Analysis, NPV, Payback Period, Monorail

Abstract

As the development of science is always accompanied by high-technology applications, innovation is needed to support the implementation of a technology. Almost all human activities are currently assisted by tools. Most of the families in Indonesia has a TV antenna. However, There are difficulties in the installation of antenna stick. Therefore, designing a tool in the form of a stick that can be elongated/shortened automatically is necessary for ease of use. The tool is called "Telescopstick". In addition, to be a tool for TV antenna pole, it is designed for multifunctional purpose because there is a joint at the end of this tool that can be connected with other tools, so it can serve as a substitution of a lamp, duster and etc. This tool is designed to be robust and lightweight, made of polyethylene pipe in a consideration of the functions and needs of this tool. The mechanism of this tool is basically a pulley system that enables the change of its length dimension through the pull of wire. The wire pulling mechanism itself utilizes 12 Volt DC electric motor with energy provided by a battery. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is employed to design this tool because it focuses on a consumer-needs-based design process. The results show that the tool can replace conventional sticks which are easily destroyed and difficult to install and the availability of spare parts are easily obtained as well. The findings of this study can be used as effectively as possible for future research. Keywords: Telescopstick Design, Innovation, Polyethylene, Quality Function Deployment

Abstract

Public transportation plays an important role in meeting people's needs for traveling. In a big city like DKI Jakarta, public transportation plays an important role in supporting the daily activities of its people. Transjakarta is one of the mass public transportation (bus rapid transit) provided by the local government for the community. One of the corridors that have the highest number of passengers is corridor 1 which serves the Blok M - Kota route. The problem that occurs is the irregularity in the scheduling system and the operation of the buses which are considered to be less than optimal, as a result, many buses are idle or buses travel but only carry a few passengers, especially during peak hours on weekdays. To solve this problem, it is necessary to conduct research that regulates the scheduling of bus arrivals at peak hours to serve a large number of passengers. The method used in this research is a simulation by determining the headway timing and determining the number of buses to operate as optimally as possible. The proposed simulation is made of 3 new scenarios and 1 proposed scenario for real-time conditions. Based on the simulation results, the determination of the headway time of 9 minutes between arrivals and 13 buses used during rush hour, from the previous one with a headway time of 4 minutes between arrivals, but the buses used are 30 buses during peak hours. This proposal given is to save bus usage and maximize the utility of the bus.
