Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh amelioran dari lumpur laut cair (LLC) yang diintegrasikan dengan pupuk kotoran sapi dalam meningkatkan kesuburan tanah gambut pada tanaman jagung telah dilakukan dari bulan April sampai September 2012 di lahan gambut Pontianak Utara, Kalimantan Barat. Percobaan lapangan disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial, diulang sebanyak dua kali dengan faktor pertama adalah LLC (0, 25, 50, 75 kL ha¯¹), sedangkan faktor kedua adalah pupuk kotoran sapi (0, 5, 10, 15 t ha¯¹). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian LLC secara mandiri meningkatkan pH tanah gambut. Pertumbuhan tanaman jagung yang diekspresikan dalam bentuk tinggi tanaman lebih tinggi, nisbah pupus akar lebih tinggi dan hasil tanaman jagung lebih tinggi dengan amelioran LLC dan pupuk kotoran sapi dengan dosis meningkat dibandingkan dengan tanpa amelioran. Dosis optimum LLC dan pupuk kotoran sapi berturut-turut 74,7 kL ha¯¹ dan 14,6 t ha¯¹ dengan hasil maksimum bobot kering biji jagung 10,6 t ha¯¹.Kata kunci : lumpur laut cair (LLC), pupuk kotoran sapi, jagung, gambutAbstractThe experiments to find out ameliorant effects from liquid coastal sediment (LLC) which integrated with cattle manure to improve peat soil fertility in maize crop were conducted from April 2011 to September 2012 on peatland in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The field experiment were arranged in Randomized block Design with two factors and each treatment combination was replicated two times. The first factor was LLC concentration levels (0, 25, 50 and 75 kL ha¯¹). The second factor was cattle manure dosages (0, 5, 10 and 15 t ha¯¹). The result of experiment showed that the application of ameliorant LLC improved the pH on peat soil. Growth of corn as expressed in plant height was taller, NPA was taller and grain yields of corn was taller with application of LLC and cattle manure compared to without LLC and cattle manure. The optimum rates of LLC and cattle manure to produce maximum grain yields of corn were 74,7 kL ha¯¹ and 14,6   t ha¯¹, respectively with maximum yields of 10,6 t ha¯¹.Keyword : liquid coastal sediment (LLC), cattle manure, maize, peat.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pola pengusahaan komoditas tanaman pangan pada lahan kering ditinjau dari penerapan pola tanam di Kabupaten Morowali Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Lokasi penelitian adalah di Kabupaten Morowali Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Teknik penarikan sampel digunakan random sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 120 responden yang tersebar di 3 kecamatan yakni Kecamatan Bungku Utara, Kecamatan Petasia dan Kecamatan Mori Atas Kabupaten Morowali Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi. Hasil dari analisis pola pengusahaan komoditas tanaman pangan pada lahan kering ditinjau dari pola tanam di Kabupaten Morowali Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah.akan diuraikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan pola pengusahaan komoditas tanaman pangan pada lahan kering ditinjau dari pola tanam adalah petani melakukan pola pertanaman sejenis, yaitu padi-padi-palawija, jagung-jagung-palawija, kedele-kedele-sayuran dan kacang-kacang-bera. Pola Tanam II petani melakukan pola tanam padi gogo-jagung-sayuran dan Pola Tanam III padi gogo-kedele-bera.Kata kunci : Tanaman pangan, lahan kering, pola tanamAbstractThe study was conducted to determine the pattern of utilization of food crops on dry land cropping patterns in terms of the application of Morowali district of Central Sulawesi  province. The method used is a survey method. The research location is in Central Sulawesi province Morowali. The sampling technique used random sampling. Study sample were 120 respondents spread across three districts namely North Bungku District, District and Sub Mori Petasia Top Morowali Central Sulawesi province. Data collection through interviews using questionnaires and observation. The results of the analysis of patterns of food crops cultivation in dryland cropping pattern in terms of Sulawesi  Morowali Tengah.akan described descriptively. The results of this research, the pattern of utilization of food crops in terms of dryland cropping farmers cropping patterns are similar, the ricepaddy-pulses, corn-crops-corn, soy and vegetable-soy-bean-bean-fallow. Abstract

AbstrakUsaha peternakan itik alabio di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara belum berkembang sebagaimana mestinya ditunjukkan 80 persen peternak kepemilikannya dibawah 500 ekor. Pengembangan agribisnis itik alabio dengan  memperhatikan semua subsistem menjadi penting agar diperoleh tingkat produksi dan pendapatan maksimal.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji keterkaitan antar subsistem agribisnis itik alabio petelur terhadap produksi dan pendapatan peternak. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey, penentuan sampel peternak memakai teknik stratified random sampling, sedangkan sampel pedagang, breeder dan pembesaran melalui teknik purposive. Hipotesis diuji dengan analisis multivariat, uji F dan uji T. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengembangan agribisnis melalui peningkatan produksi dapat dilakukan dengan memperhatikan sumber bibit, harga kandang, jumlah pakan, jumlah tenaga kerja dan biaya pemasaran, sedangkan melalui peningkatan pendapatan dengan memperhatikan sumber bibit, harga bibit, harga kandang, jumlah pakan dan biaya pemasaran. Secara bersama-sama semua subsistem menentukan namun secara parsial subsistem lembaga penunjang tidak menentukan tingkat produksi dan pendapatan peternak.Kata kunci : Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Utara, itik alabio, pengembangan gribisnis.AbstractAlabio duck farming businesses in Hulu Sungai Utara district have not yet been developed as it should be, it indicated that 80 percent of the owners farmers just owned under 500 ducks. Alabio duck agribusiness development with attention to all subsystems become important in order to obtain the maximum level of production and income. This research aimed to examine the linkages between agribusiness subsystems of Alabio duck layers . Research used a survey method with stratified random sampling technique, while the sample traders, breeders and growers by using purposive. The hypothesis testing analysis used multivariate analysis, F test and T test. The results showed, agribusiness development through increased production can be done with the source of female ducks, cages prices, the amount of feed, the amount of labor and marketing costs. While through increasing of revenue could be fulfilled by female duck sources, female duck price, price of the cage, the amount of feed and marketing costs. Together of all subsystems were crucial but in partial subsystems supporting institutions did not determine the level of production and income of the farmers. Abstract

AbstrakTumbuhan senggugu (C. serratum L.) termasuk famili verbenaceae, merupakan salah satu tumbuhan yang cukup dikenal dimasyarakat sebagai tanaman obat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak daun senggugu (C. serratum L.) terhadap kualitas sperma mencit (Mus musculus). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental yang menggunakan rancangan percobaan dengan pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Penelitian ini terdiri atas dua kelompok kontrol dan lima kelompok perlakuan dengan lama perlakuan 9 dan 18 hari. Setiap kelompok menggunakan 6 ekor mencit, sehingga jumlah mencit keseluruhan adalah 42 ekor. Parameter yang diamati adalah jumlah, motilitas, abnormalitas dan viabilitas sperma mencit. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan Anava dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dilihat dari hasil daun senggugu (C. serratum L.) dapat menurunkan kualitas mencit.Kata kunci : senggugu, mencit dan kulaitas sperma.AbstractPlant senggugu (C.serratum L.) belongs to the family Verbenaceae, which has been recogniced by the public as a medicinal plant. One of them is that it can be used as a drug antifertility in men. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of ethanol extract and spinasterol of Senggugu ©.Serratum L.) leaves to the sperm quality of mouse (M. musculus) The study is conducted using complete random with 7X2 factor repeated 6 times. The treatment given to the ethanol extract is 250 mg/kg body weight, 500 mg/kg body weight and 1000 mg/kg body weight, as with spinasterol the amount is 26 mg/kg body weight and 52 mg/kg body weight, and as its controlling agent distilled water and DMSO solution is used. The treatment is given orally once a day within 9and 18 days as much as 0,5 ml. Cauda epididymal sperm suspension was used to measure the quality of the sperm of mice. Data were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Duncan test. Based on observation and statistical analysis it has been found that theethanol and spinasterol extract treatment of senggugu leaves using a diffrent dosage has shown a significant effects to the parameters being studied namely increased abnormality of sperm and decreased in number of sperm, percentage of motolityand viability sperm.Keyword : Clerodendron serattum, senggugu, Mus musculus, Spermatozoa, Ethanol extract, Spinasterol

Abstract

AbstrakDalam beberapa tahun terakhir pengembangan sistem pembawa obat inovatif telah banyak dilakukan untuk mengatasi buruknya kelarutan suatu zat aktif. Salah satu contoh yang banyak mendapat perhatian adalah sistem pembawa obat berbasis nanopartikel. Pada penelitian ini dibuat suatu sistem nanopartikel dengan menggunakan pembawa polimer polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP). Polyvinyl pyrrolidone dapat digunakan sebagai solubilizer dan telah terbukti kemampuannya dalam meningkatkan disolusi dari obat yang memiliki kelarutan rendah. Zat aktif yang digunakan adalah kurkumin. Kurkumin penerapannya terbatas karena tidak larut dalam air, sedangkan potensinya sangat baik sebagai obat pada beberapa penyakit termasuk kanker. Formula dibuat dengan memvariasikan jumlah PVP dimana kurkumin banding PVP adalah (1:2), (1:6), dan (1:10). Prosedur pembuatan sistem nanopartikelnya adalah dengan melarutkan PVP ke dalam larutan PVA 0,1% sedangkan kurkumin dilarutkan dengan etanol. Selanjutnya dilakukan proses homogenisasi, sonikasi, dan pengadukan mekanik serta penguapan pelarut. Sistem nanopartikel ini dikarakterisasi ukuran partikelnya dengan alat PSA. Persentase enkapsulasi ditetapkan dengan HPLC. Formulasi yang menghasilkan sistem nanopartikel polimerik dengan ukuran partikel terkecil  yaitu 31,6 nm adalah formula X (Kurkumin 50 mg, PVP 500 mg, etanol 25 ml, dan larutan PVA 0,1% 75 ml) dengan proses homogenisasi kecepatan 17.000 rpm selama 12 menit 30 detik, sonikasi selama 30 menit, pengadukan mekanik selama 2 jam dan penguapan pelarut. Persen enkapsulasi kurkumin dari formula X adalah 98%. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan uji sitotoksik menggunakan sel kanker MCF-7 dimana hasilnya adalah kurkumin nanopartikel (IC50 1,7 ppm) memiliki efek sitotoksik yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kurkumin non nanopartikel (IC50 11,7 ppm). Untuk pengujian cellular uptake menghasilkan kurkumin nanopartikel memiliki kemampuan cellular uptake yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kurkumin non nanopartikel. Kata kunci : nanopartikel, kurkumin, ukuran partikel, sitotoksik.AbstractIn the last few years, an innovative development of drug carrier system has been done to overcome poor solubility of active ingredients. An interesting example of it is drug delivery system based nanoparticle. In this research a nanoparticle system was made by using a polymers polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), which can be used as solubilizer and has proven its ability to improve dissolution of low solubility drugs. Curcumin is used as active ingredient. This compound is not dissolved in water, while its potential is very good as medicine in some diseases including cancer. The formula were prepared with various amount of PVP where curcumin comparation PVP were (1:2), (1:6), and (1:10). Nanoparticle system was created by dissolving PVP into PVA 0.1% solution, while curcumin was dissolved in ethanol. The procedure was continued with homogenizing, sonicating, mechanical stirring and solvent evaporating. Particle size the system were characterized by PSA. Encapsulation efficiency of curcumin was measured by HPLC. The best nanoparticle formula with (particle size 31.6 nm) was formula X (contained curcumin 50 mg, PVP 500 mg, ethanol 25 ml, and solution PVA 0.1 % 75 ml) which was made by homogenization speed 17,000 rpm for 12 minutes 30 seconds, sonication 30 minutes, stirring mechanics 2 hours, percent encapsulation of curcumin 98%. Both the cellular uptake ability and the cytotoxicity of this nanoparticle curcumin on MCF-7 cancer cells was better than non-nanoparticle system, with IC50 1.7 ppm and IC50 11.7 ppm, respectively.  Key words : nanoparticle, curcumin, Polyvinyl Pyrrolidone (PVP), cytotoxic.

Abstract

AbstrakBerdasarkan Lickona (1991), konsep moral merupakan interelasi antara pengetahuan, perasaan, dan tindakan moral. Poeti Joefiani (2013) menemukan keteguhan moral merupakan bagian dari konstruk moral. Nathan dkk (2011) dan Fumagalli (2010) mengungkapkan hubungan antara jenis kelamin dan moral. Oleh karena itu, pada studi ini peneliti bermaksud menganalisa reliabilitas dan validitas model konstruk moral berdasarkan jenis kelamin mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data, dilakukan dengan cross-sectional design. Subjek penelitian mahasiswa berusia 17-23 tahun di UNPAD, terdiri dari 1.200 wanita dan 362 pria yang dijaring berdasarkan multistage cluster sampling. Variabel moral meliputi pengetahuan, perasaan, keteguhan, dan tindakan moral diukur menggunakan self-report questionnaire tiga skenario masalah moral. Analisis statistik menggunakan multigroup confirmatory factor analysis (MGCFA). Hasil menunjukkan secara umum tidak terdapat perbedaan struktur moral antara pria dan wanita. Reliabilitas dan validitas menunjukkan kesamaan antar pria dan wanita.Kata kunci : pengetahuan moral, perasaan moral, keteguhan moral, tindakan moralAbstractAccording to Lickona (1991), moral is formed by the interrelation of knowledge, feelings and action. Poeti Joefiani (2013) has found that moral firmness is part of the moral constructs. Nathan et al., (2011) and Fumagalli (2010) has revealed relationship between gender and moral. Therefore, in this study researcher intended to analyze the reliability and validity of moral construct models based on gender. The research design of this study was a cross-sectional design. The respondents were 17-23 year- old students from Padjadjaran University, consisted of 1.200 females and 363 males. Sampling technique was a multistage cluster sampling. The research variables were moral knowledge, moral feeling, moral firmness, and moral action which measured by using three moral-related scenarios in social context. Statistical analysis used multigroup confirmatory factor analysis (MGCFA). In general, results shows that there is no significant difference in moral structure between male and female students. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini membahas mengenai profil kepribadian dan work engagement  pada dosen tetap. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepribadian terhadap work engagement. Selanjutnya juga diuji pengaruh  setiap trait kepribadian terhadap work engagement. Partisipan penelitian adalah dosen tetap dari 5 (lima)  universitas swasta terbaik di Indonesia yang berjumlah 602 (enam ratus dua) orang. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui kuesioner kepribadian dan kuesioner work engagement.  Analisis data  menggunakan Metode Structural Equation Modeling. Hasil penelitian membuktikan dosen memiliki profil kepribadian trait openness to experience tinggi, trait conscientiousness tinggi, trait extraversion tinggi, trait agreeableness tinggi, dan trait neuroticism yang rendah. Selain itu trait openness to experience, trait conscientiousness, trait extraversion, trait agreeableness, trait neuroticism berpengaruh terhadap work engagement. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini profesi dosen memiliki profil  kepribadian yang khas dengan trait agreeableness yang lebih menonjol dibandingkan trait lain dan membuktikan seluruh trait kepribadian berpengaruh terhadap work engagement  pada profesi dosen. Purpose of this study was to examine the influence of personality traits on work engagement. Furthermore also tested the influence of each personality trait  to work engagement. The participants were 602  full time lecturers from the best five private universities in Indonesia. Data were obtained through  personality and work engagement  questionnaires. Methods of data analysis using structural equation modelling. The results are lecturer profession has high score in openness to experience trait, conscientiousness trait, extraversion trait, agreeableness trait, and low score in neuroticism trait. Furthermore all personality traits  influenced work engagement. The conclusion of this research are lecturer profession has a distinctive personality profile with the  agreeableness trait that is more prominent than others and  prove all personality traits as predictor  work engagement.Keywords: Personality, Work Engagement, Lecturer, Private university

Abstract

AbstrakPerubahan Mutu Kubis Bunga Diolah Minimal Pada Berbagai Pengemasan Dan Suhu Penyimpanan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengemasan terhadap perubahan mutu kubis bunga diolah minimal (KBDM) selama penyimpanan pada berbagai suhu.  Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Pascapanen BALITSA, Lembang selama 6 bulan mulai Januari sampai Juni 2012.  Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok pola split plot design diulang tiga kali dengan suhu penyimpanan sebagai main plot terdiri atas empat taraf (0 oC, 5 oC, 10 oC dan suhu kamar) dan teknik pengemasan sebagai sub plot terdiri atas empat taraf  (tanpa bungkus, dibungkus stretch film, dibungkus PE.03 dan dibungkus PE.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik pengemasan dengan pembungkusan terbukti meningkatkan hasil guna pendinginan dalam mempertahankan mutu KBDM.  Pada penyimpanan suhu dingin, kemasan dengan pembungkus PE.05 menunjukkan laju penurunan mutu paling lambat, sedangkan pada penyimpanan suhu kamar, tingkat penurunan mutu KBDM paling lambat ditunjukkan oleh kemasan dengan pembungkus stretch film.Kata kunci : Pengemasan; Pendinginan; Proses minimal; kualitas; Brassica oleracea var. botrytis.L.AbstractThe Quality Change of Minimally Processed Cauliflowers at Several Packaging and Storage Temperatures. The objective of this research is to find out of effect of packaging on quality change of minimally processed cauliflower (MPC) during storage at the several temperatures. The research has been performed at the IVEGRI, Lembang for 6 months from Januari to Juni  2012.  The experiment was conducted using RBD in a Split Plot Design pattern with three replications. The main plot was storage temperatures consisted of four levels (0 oC, 5 oC, 10 oC and  ambient temperature), sub plot was packaging technique consisted of four levels (without wrapping and wrapped with stretch film, PE.03 and PE.05). The result showed that packaging technique with wrapping proved increasing efectivity of referigeration to quality maintenance of MPC. At the chilling temperatures,  using  PE.05 showed the best ability to reduce the rate of declining quality, whereas at ambient temperature, the lowest of degradation rate pointed by wrapping stretch film.Key words : Packaging; Refrigerator; Minimally processed, quality, Brassica oleracea var. botrytis L.

Abstract

AbstrakKerabat liar ubi jalar Ipomoea trifida asal Citatah Jawa Barat potensial digunakan dalam program pemuliaan tanaman ubi jalar (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam.) Untuk mengetahui diversitas genetik I. trifida  dilakukan pengamatan terhadap karakter kromosom. Bahan tanaman yang digunakan  adalah 10 spesies I. trifida berumbi. Hubungan kekerabatan antar spesies diketahui melalui analisis klaster dan Analisis Komponen Utama/Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan pengujian pada 10 aksesi I. trifida berumbi dengan menggunakan 9 karakter kromosom menghasilkan jarak ketidakmiripan (Euclidean coeffisien) yang berkisar 1,75 – 6,22 dan menunjukkan diversitas yang luas. Dendogram yang dihasilkan pada jarak ketidakmiripan 5,23 menunjukkan terbentuknya 3 klaster utama. Analisis Komponen Utama (PCA) menghasilkan 2 komponen utama pertama (PC1 dan PC2) yang telah dapat menjelaskan 89,64% dari total variasi. Lam. To determine the genetic diversity of I. trifida, observation on characters of chromosomes of I.trifida was conducted. Plant materials used ten accessions  of tubered-I. trifida. Relationship between species identified by cluster analysis and Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The results showed that the observation on the 10 accession of tubered-I. trifida using 9 characters chromosome produces dissimilarities distance (Euclidean coefficient) ranging from 1.75 to 6.22. Dendogram generated  at a dissimilarity distance of 5.23 showed the formation of three main clusters. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) produced first two principal component (PC1 and PC2), which has been able to explain 89.64% of the total variation.Keyword  : Ipomoea trifida, Clustering Analysis, Principal Component Analysis

Abstract

AbstrakUntuk dapat bekerja dengan efektif menghadapi M. tuberculosis, sistim imunitas seluler memerlukan kadar IFN-γ dan reseptor IFN-γ di sel-sel mononuklear yang bekerja optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis korelasi antara kadar serum IFN-, ekspresi dan fungsi reseptor IFN-γ, dengan kejadian penyakit Tuberkulosis Paru. Observasi analitik dengan rancangan potong silang yang membandingkan kadar serum IFN-γ, fungsi dan ekspresi reseptor IFN-γ, pada pasien TB Paru dengan pasangannya yang sehat, serta menganalisis korelasi antara variabel-variabel tersebut dengan kejadian penyakit TB Paru. Penelitian dilakukan pada Juli 2009 sampai September 2010, di RS Immanuel Bandung dan laboratorium Stem Cell & Cancer Institute, Jakarta. Dibandingkan pasangan hidupnya, kadar serum IFN-γ pasien TB tidak berbeda bermakna, ekspresi reseptor IFN-γ pasien TB lebih tinggi (p=0,041), sedangkan fungsi reseptor IFN-γ pasien TB lebih rendah (p=0,011). Analisis korelasi mendapatkan satusatunya variabel yang mempunyai korelasi bermakna dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru adalah fungsi reseptor IFN-γ yang rendah (p=0,026, OR 5,56). Pada pasien TB Paru ekspresi reseptor IFN-γ lebih tinggi, tetapi fungsi reseptor IFN-γ lebih rendah dari pasangan hidup sehat. Fungsi reseptor IFN-γ yang rendah ini mempunyai korelasi bermakna dengan kejadian tuberkulosis paru.Kata kunci: tuberkulosis, kadar serum IFN-γ, ekspresi dan fungsi reseptor IFN-γ.AbstractIn order to work effectively against M. tuberculosis, the cell mediated immune system needs serum level of IFN-γ and its receptors in the surface of mononuclear cells to function optimally. The objective of this study is to analyze the correlation of IFNγ serum level, expression and function of IFN-γ receptor, with pulmonary tuberculosis. Analytical descriptive method with cross sectional design that compared the serum level of IFN-γ, function and expression of IFN-γ receptor in pulmonary tuberculosis patients with their healthy spouses, and analyzing the correlation between these variables with pulmonary tuberculosis. Study was done from July 2009 until September 2010, in Immanuel hospital Bandung and Stem Cell & Cancer Institute Jakarta. Compared with their healthy spouses the IFN-γ serum level in TB patients was not different statistically, the IFN-γ receptor expression in TB patients was higher (p=0,041), however, the IFN-γ receptor function of TB patients was lower (p=0,011). Correlation analysis showed that the only variable had correlation significantly with pulmonary tuberculosis was low function of IFN-γ receptor (p=0,026,OR 5,56). The expression of IFN-γ receptor in pulmonary tuberculosis patients was higher, while the function of IFN-γ receptor was lower than their healthy spouses. The low function of IFN-γ receptor had significantly correlation with pulmonary tuberculosis. Key Words: Tuberculosis, IFN-γ serum level, IFN-γ receptor expression and function.
