Abstract

AbstrakBising impulsif berlebihan mengakibatkan kerusakan mekanik maupun metabolik (stres oksidatif) pada struktur telinga dalam (koklea), sehingga terjadi trauma akustik (TA). Stres oksidatif yang disebabkan peningkatan radikal bebas ROS/RNS di dalam organ Korti, mengakibatkan apoptosis serta nekrosis sel-sel rambut koklea. Stres oksidatif ditandai oleh peningkatan malondialdehid (MDA), penurunan enzim glutation peroksidase (GPx), dan hasil emisi otoakustik abnormal (refer), Mekanisme pertahanan tubuh terhadap stres oksidatif dilakukan oleh enzim anti oksidan endogen (Superoksid dismutase/SOD, katalase/CAT dan GPx). Mekanisme kerja seluler  glutation peroksidase mimetik sama dengan GPx. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh glutation peroksidase mimetik terhadap kadar glutation peroksidase dan malondialdehid darah serta nilai emisi akustik pada prajurit dengan risiko TA akibat ledakan meriam Howitzer 105. Rancangan penelitian adalah clinical trial pre and post design, randomized, double blind and placebo controllel, yang dilakukan pada 34 orang prajurit siswa Tamtama baru Pusdik Armed saat latihan menembak meriam Howitzer 105 pada tanggal 7-10 Juli 2014 di Cimahi dan Batujajar. Subjek penelitian dibagi dua, yakni kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol. Kelompok perlakuan diberi glutation peroksidase mimetik (Ebselen SPI 1005) 1x200 mg peroral saat latihan, sedangkan kelompok kontrol diberi plasebo. Kedua kelompok diukur kadar MDA dan GPx darah serta hasil audiometri nada murni dan nilai emisi otoakustik (DPOAEs) sebelum dan setelah latihan menembak. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji parametrik dan non parametrik, dan besarnya manfaat perlakuan dihitung menggunakan Number Needed to Treat (NNT, 95%CI). Kemaknaan hasil ditentukan berdasarkan nilai p < 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kejadian TA menggunakan pemeriksaan audiometri nada murni pada kelompok kontrol sebanyak 23,5%, dan pada kelompok perlakuan sebanyak 0%, sedangkan menggunakan pemeriksaan DPOAEs pada kelompok kontrol sebanyak 47,1% abnormal/refer dan pada kelompok perlakuan 100% normal/pass, dan perbedaan ini secara statistik bermakna  (p<0,05).Pemberian Ebselen SPI 1005 pada kelompok perlakuan meningkatkan 82,4% kadar GPx eritrosit (NNT, 95%CI=1,889 [1,1593,016]; p=0,004), meningkatkan 88,2% kadar GPx plasma (NNT, 95%CI=1,417 [0,970-1,775]; p<0,001), menurunkan 100% kadar MDA eritrosit (NNT, 95%CI = 1,417 [0,994-1,836]; p<0,001), dan menurunkan 94,1% kadar MDA plasma (NNT, 95%CI=2,125 [1,29-3,904]; p=0,01), serta menghasilkan 100% nilai DPOAEs normal/pass (NNT, 95%CI = 2,125 [1,335-3,987]; p=0,01). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemberian Ebselen SPI 1005 pada prajurit dengan risiko trauma akustik selama pelaksanakan latihan menembak meriam Howitzer 105, meningkatkan kadar GPx darah, menurunkan kadar MDA darah, dan menghasilkan nilai DPOAEs normal/pass. Kata kunci : Ebselen, Emisi otoakustik, GPx, MDA,Trauma akustik.AbstractExcessive noise exposure may cause mechanical and metabolic (oxidative stress) to the inner ear structure (cochlea), resulting in acoustic trauma (TA). Oxidative stress which caused by increasing of free radical ROS/RNS in the organs of Corti, causing apoptosis and necrosis of cochlear hair cell. Oxidative stress was characterized by increasing of malondialdehyde (MDA), decreasing of glutathione peroxidase (GPx) enzyme, and abnormal otoacoustic emission value (refer). Defense mechanism toward oxidative stress was mediated by endogenous antioxidant enyzme (superoxide dismutase/SOD, catalase/CAT, and GPx). Cellular mechanism of glutation peroxidase mimetic was similar as Gpx. Aim of this study was to determine the impact of glutathione peroxidase mimetic to glutathione peroxidase and malondialdehyde level in blood, also otoacoustic emission value on soldiers with risk of TA due to explosion of Howitzer 105 artillery weapon. The design of this study was clinical trial pre and post design, randomized, double blind and placebo controlled, on 34 new recruit soldiers in Artillery Academy of Indonesian Army, during the soldiers were trained to firing Howitzer 105 artillery weapon, from 7th-10th July 2014 in Cimahi and Batujajar. Subjects were divided into 2 groups, the exposure group (group given treatment) and control group. Exposure group was given glutathione peroxidase mimetic (Ebselen SPI 1005) 200mg, orally once daily during the training, meanwhile control group was given. Malondialdehyde and Glutathione Peroxidase level in blood, pure tone audiometry and otoacoustic emission value (DPOAEs) was measured from those two groups, before and after firing training. The data was analyzed using parametric and non parametric, with Number Needed to Treat (NNT, 95%CI) and significance value (p<0.05). The results of this study showed the number of acoustic trauma events in controle group based on pure tone audiometry test was 23.5%, exposure group was 0%, and based on DPOAEs test the controle group showed 47.1% abnormal/refer, exposure group showed 100% normally/pass, and this difference stastically significance (p<0.051). The group which was given Ebselen SPI 1005 showed increasing 82.4% erythrocyte GPx level (NNT, 95%CI=1.889 [1.159-3.016]; p=0.004), showed increasing 88.2% plasma GPx level (NNT, 95%CI=1.417 [0.9701.775]; p<0.001), decreasing 100% erythrocyte MDA level (NNT, 95%CI = 2.125 [1.335-3.987]; p=0.01), showed decreasing 94.1% plasma MDA level (NNT, 95%CI=2.125 [1.29-3.904]; p=0.01), and resulting 100% in normal/pass DPOAEs value (NNT, 95%CI = 2.125 [1.335-3.987]; p=0.01). This study concluded that giving Ebselen SPI 1005 to soldiers with risk of acoustic trauma during the firing Howitzer 105 artillery weapon, increasing GPx level in blood, decreasing MDA level in blood, and resulting normally DPOAEs value ( pass )Keywords : Acoustic trauma, Ebselen, GPx, MDA, Otoacoustic emission

Abstract

AbstrakKaries gigi merupakan penyakit infeksi multifaktorial, faktor etiologi tersebut saling berkaitan satu sama lainnya dan digambarkan sebagai empat lingkaran yang saling berimpitan satu sama lainnya. Protein saliva MUC7 yang terdapat dalam saliva berperan penting dalam melindungi jaringan lunak dan keras rongga mulut dari infeksi bakteri patogen. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kaitan antara MUC7 dan glukosiltransferase dengan karies gigi, yang dapat menimbulkan dugaan bahwa MUC7 dan glukosiltransferase berperan penting terjadi karies gigi. Motode penelitian ini bersifat cross sectional study di lapangan dan laboratorium. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 138 orang anak karyawan PTPN VIII Pengalengan usia 12-13 tahun. Pada penelitian ini digunakan analisis chi kuadrat, korelasi rank Spearman, analisis regresi logistik ganda dan kurva ROC.  Hasil penelitian terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara MUC7 dengan karies gigi, nilai koeffisien korelasi 0,209* dengan p 0,014, dan tidak terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara glukosiltransferase dengan karies gigi. Hasil perhitungan dengan regresi logistic ganda diperoleh hubungan yang signifikan antara MUC7, glukosiltransferase (GTF) dengan karies gigi. Hasil kurva ROC diperoleh bahwa kadar MUC7  ≤604,02 ng/ml akan berrisiko terjadinya karies gigi 2,085 kali bila dibandingkan dengan kadar MUC7 >604,02.ng/ml. Sedangkan kadar Gtf ≤5,247 ng/ml juga berrisiko terjadi karies gigi sebesar 2,273 kali dibandingkan dengan kadar Gtf >5,247 ng/ml. Simpulan penelitian ini adanya korelasi yang signifikan antara MUC7, GTF dengan karies gigi. Menunjukkan pula bahwa rendahnya kadar MUC7 dan glukosiltrans ferase (GTF) lebih berrisiko terhadap terjadinya karies gigi. MUC7 salivary proteins plays an important role in protecting the hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity from bacterial pathogen infection. The aim of this research was to each other between MUC7 and glucosyltransferase to dental caries, which can give rise to allegations that the MUC7 and glucosyltransferase plays an important role occur of dental caries. Method of this study is a cross sectional in the field and laboratory. The samples were 138 the children of employees of PTPN VIII Pengalengan 12-13 years old. Analyses of this study are χ2, Spearman's rank test, multiple regression, logistic regression, and ROC curve. The results there was a significant correlation between MUC7 with dental caries, the value of the correlation coefficient 0.209* and p= 0.014, and there was no significant correlation between the glucosyltransferase to dental caries. Calculation of logistic regression obtained significant relationship between MUC7, glucosyltransferase (GTF) with dental caries. The result of ROC curve was obtained that MUC7 levels ≤ 604.02 ng/ml will be at risk 2,085 times dental caries levels when compared with MUC7> 604.02 ng/ml. While the GTF levels ≤ 5,247 ng/ml are also at risk of dental caries occurs 2,273 times compared to the GTF levels> 5,247 ng / ml. The conclusions of this study are significant correlation between MUC7, GTF to dental caries. Also showed that low level of MUC7 and glucosyltransferase (GTF) is more at risk for dental caries.Key word: MUC7, glucosyltransferase, dental caries.

Abstract

AbstrakPenyosohan biji sorgum yang effektif memerlukan informasi tentang sifat-sifat biji jenis sorgum tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan memperoleh beberapa karakteristik fisik dan kimia biji sorgum varietas lokal Bandung yang memengaruhi proses penyosohan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan jumlah ulangan 3 sampai 30 tergantung dari parameter  yang diukur. Semua pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak. Sampel biji sorgum yang dipakai adalah yang tertahan pada saringan 6 dan 7 mesh. Karakteristik fisik biji sorgum tertahan pada saringan 6 mesh : biji berukuran besar  (4,54 x 4,32 x  2,64  mm),  bentuk biji bulat  (sperisitas 0,82). Warna biji  : abu-abu kuning kecoklatan (L*54,25,  a* -1,71 dan b* 17,60) dengan hilum agak besar berwarna hitam kecoklatan. Kekerasan biji (Kiya Hardness Tester) 7,73 kg  atau  keras. Ketebalan perikarp sebesar 0,18 mm yang  lebih tipis dari biji tertahan saringan 7 mesh. Persentase endosperma corneous : 57,03% atau  tipe endosperma 5 (keras).  Bobot 1000 butir biji 36,08 g, densitas kamba 0,74  (g/cm3),  densitas partikel 1,26 (g/cm3). Komposisi kimia biji terdiri dari : air 11,88% (bk), pati 83,45% (bk), protein 11,60% (bk), lemak 3,13% (bk), serat kasar 5,79% (bk), abu 3,13% (bk) dan karbohidrat 82, 05% (bk). Karakteristik fisik biji sorgum tertahan saringan 7 mesh : ukuran biji  (3,90 x 3,65 x 2,37 mm ),  bentuk  biji bulat  (sperisitas 0,83). Warna biji:  abu-abu kuning kecoklatan (L* 57,08,  a*-2,51,  b* 21,21) kusam dengan hilum yang hitam. Kekerasan biji 6,49 kg atau keras, perikarp tebal (0,20 mm). Persentase endosperma corneous 35,94% atau tipe  endosperma 7 (lunak).  Bobot 1000 butir  25,73 g, densitas kamba 0,73 (g/cm3), densitas partikel 1,26 (g/cm3). Komposisi kimia biji terdiri dari : air 10,94% (bk), pati 81,68% (bk), protein 11,33% (bk), lemak 3,34% (bk), serat kasar 3,63% (bk), abu 2,01% (bk)  dan karbohidrat 83, 29% (bk)Kata kunci : sorgum berbiji putih dan  karakteristik biji  sorgumAbstractProper sorghum grain decortication requires information about sorghum grain characteristics. The purpose of this research is to obtain physical and chemical decortication characteristics of Bandung  Local Variety of White Sorghum Grain. This research uses descriptive method with 3-30 replications depending on the parameter tested. All samples are taken randomly. Seed  characteristics of the Local White Sorghum retained on 6 mesh sieve were as follows : large kernel, respectively 4.54 x 4.32 x 2.64 mm; round-shape (sphericity 0.82) ; brown-yellowish gray (L*54, a*-1.71, b*17.60) colored seedcoat with brownish-black hilum.  Grain hardness 7. plastik 73 kg (Kiya Hardness Tester) or hard. Thick pericarp (0.18 mm), corneousness 57.03% or endospermhardness type 5  (hard). Grain weight 36.08 g, bulk density 0.74 (g/cm3) and specific density 1.26 (g/cm3). Grain composition : moisture 11.88% (db), starch 83.45% (db), protein 11.60% (db), crude fiber 5.79% (db), ash 3.13% (db) and carbohydrate 82.05% (db). Seed characteristics of Bandung Local Variety White Sorghum retained on 7 mesh sieve were as follows : large kernel, resfectively: 3.90 x 3.65 x 2.37 mm; round shape (sphericity 0.83); brown-yellowish gray (L*57.08, a*-2.51, b*21.21) colored seedcoat with black hilum, grain hardness 6.49 kg (Kiya Hardness Tester) or hard; thick pericarp (0.20 mm) than grains retained  in 6 mesh sieves; corneousness 35.94% or endosperm hardness type 7 (soft endosperm), grain weight (g/1000) 25.73; bulk density 0.73 (g/cm3) and specific density 1.26 (g/cm3). Grain composition : moisture 11.94% (db), starch 81.68% (db), protein  11.38% (db), fat 3.34% (db),  crude fiber 3.63% (db), ash 2.01% (db) and carbohydrate 83.29% (db).Key words : white sorghum and sorghum grain characteristics

Abstract

 AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami kondisi aktual kualitas produksi cabai merah pada usaha agribisnis cabai merah di Kabupaten Garut Jawa Barat, sehingga dapat membuat model tentang kualitas dari cabai merah tersebut. Agribisnis cabai merah mengalami perkembangan dengan berbagai fenomena yang terjadi secara kompleks dengan keterlibatan berbagai pelaku dan bersifat dinamis. Pendekatan yang tepat terkait dengan kajian ini adalah dengan menggunakan system dynamics (SD). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dijelaskan bahwa untuk menjaga fluktuasi harga cabai merah di pasaran yang sering terjadi pada komoditi cabai merah, yaitu melalui keterjalinan kemitraan. Hal ini sudah terjadi kemitraan dengan pihak perusahaan industri pengolahan PT Heinz ABC. Namun demikian, kemitraan yang terjalin belum sesuai dengan kesepakatan kontrak. Kualitas produk cabai merah belum sesuai dengan keinginan permintaan industri yaitu kualitas on grade. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi dan analisis, melalui kebijakan teknologi rainshelter maka kualitas on grade lebih tinggi daripada kualitas off grade sehingga dapat lebih memenuhi permintaan industri.Kata Kunci: agribisnis, kemitraan, cabai merah, kualitas, SDAbstractThis study aims to understand the actual conditions of production quality red chili red chili agribusiness in Garut in West Java, so it can make a model of the quality of the red chili. Red chili agribusiness has developed with various phenomena that occur in complex with the involvement of various actors and dynamic. The right approach associated with this study is to use the system dynamics (SD). Based on the research results can be explained that in order to keep the fluctuations in the market price of red chilli which often occurs in red chili commodities, namely through partnerships entanglement. This is already happening in partnership with the companies manufacturing PT Heinz ABC. However, the partnership that exists not in accordance with the contractual agreement. Red chili product quality is not in accordance with the wishes of the industry demands that the quality of on-grade. Based on simulation results and analysis, through technology policy rainshelter then on the quality of higher grade than the quality of the off grade so as to better meet industry demand.Keywords : Agribusiness, partnership, red chili, quality, SD

Abstract

AbstrakKesenjangan antara produksi dan kebutuhan domestik daging sapi saat ini telah mengakibatkan kecenderungan tingginya harga daging sapi nasional. Tingginya harga daging di pasar tersebut tidak dapat dinikmati oleh peternak antara lain karena posisi tawar peternaknya lemah. Salah satu model pengembangan yang untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut telah diinisiasi oleh Bank Indonesia adalah klaster. Pemasaran ternak sapi dalam manajemen kelompok bakal klaster melibatkan banyak pelaku yang saling terkait sehingga masalahnya menjadi kompleks dan dinamis. Pendekatan yang tepat untuk memahami persoalan adalah dinamika sistem. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sistem pemasaran yang dilakukan dalam manejemen kelompok bakal klaster saat ini masih menempatkan peternak anggota kelompok dalam posisi tawar yang lemah. Peternak anggota hanya menerima harga dari pedagang pengumpul, pedagang pengumpul menerima harga dari koordinator pedagang pengumpul, dan koordinator pedagang pengumpul mendapatkan harga dari pedagang besar. Artinya harga di peternak anggota sangat  tergantung dari harga di pedagang besar. Kebijakan yang diusulkan untuk meningkatkan posisi tawar peternak adalah menerapkan harga pedagang pengumpul dan koordinator pedagang pengumpul di peternak. Hal ini dapat dilakukan apabila ada inovasi  kelembagaan usaha bersama simpan pinjam menjadi koperasi serta merangkul semua pedagang. Cara lainnya adalah dengan membentuk unit balai lelang agro di koperasi. Koperasi berfungsi menampung produksi anggota dan melelangnya kepada pedagang. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa skenario kebijakan menerapkan harga di tingkat pedagang akan meningkatkan keuntungan dan likuiditas keuangan peternak.Kata Kunci: Sapi Bali, posisi tawar, klaster, dinamika sistem, koperasiAbstractThe gap between production and domestic consumption of beef has now resulted in a tendency to high beef prices nationwide. The high price of meat in the market can not be enjoyed by farmers, among others, because of the weak bargaining position of the farmer. One of the development model to overcome these problems have been initiated by Bank Indonesia is a cluster.  Marketing of cattle in the cluster group management will involve many actors are interrelated so that the problem becomes complex and dynamic. The right approach to understanding the problem is the system dynamics. The results showed that the  marketing system are carried out in the management group will cluster is still putting breeders group members in a weak bargaining position. Breeders members only receive the price of the traders, traders receive price from collectors coordinator, and the coordinator of traders get the price of large traders. Means the price at farmer members highly dependent on the price at wholesalers. The proposed policy to improve the bargaining position of farmers is to apply the price collectors and traders in  breeder coordinator. This can be done if there is a joint effort of institutional innovation become savings and loan cooperatives and embrace all traders. Another way is to form a unit in the cooperative agro auction. Cooperative serves to accommodate the  production of the members and auction to the merchant. The simulation results show that the policy scenarios apply price at the merchant level will improve profitability and financial liquidity breeders.Keywords: Bali Cattle, bargaining position, cluster, system dynamics, cooperative

Abstract

AbstractIn the Koto Panjang Dam, Riau there are more than 1582fish floating cages present.  Fish feed spilled from the cage is believed to affect the diet of wild endemic fishes inhabit the dam. To understand the effect of the cage on the diet of the endemic, a study has been conducted on May to September 2013. There were 5 sampling sites, 2 sites located in the natural area that there is no cage (St 1Na and St2 Na) and the others (3 Ka, 4 Ka and 5 Ka) were in the area around the cage. Fishes were sampled hourly, for a 24 hour period and their stomach content was analyzed. Results shown that there were 31 species of endemic fishes such as Puntius schwanenfeldii, Macrones nemurus, Hampala bimaculata, Osteochillus hasselti, Rasbora vaillanti, Tynnichtys vaillanti, Ophiocephalus melanosoma, Chela oxygastroides, Cyclocheilichthys heteronema, Notopterus chilata, Puntius bramoidesandCyclocheilichtys apogon. Among these fishes, however, only P. schwanenfeldii that greatly affected by the presence of the aquaculture activities as the stomach of fish living around the cage was filled with fish feed pellets (more than 90%). The fish living in the area with no cage, however, filled with animal and plant remains. This fact indicates that the P.  schwanenfeldii is an opportunist fish that is able to change their diet into fish feed pellets. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that the presence of fish floating cage aquaculture activities affect certain fish species only.Key words: Fish floating cage, Puntius schwanenfeldii, Koto Panjang Dam, endemic fish, fish feed pellet

Abstract

AbstrakHeat Shock Protein (HSP) merupakan suatu protein yang dihasilkan karena adanya Heat Shock Response (HSR). HSR diperlukan sebagai tanggapan sel terhadap berbagai macam gangguan, baik yang bersifat fisiologis maupun yang berasal dari lingkungan. Peningkatan kadar HSP70 otot jantung ini dikarenakan adanya aktivitas fisik anaerobik. Aktivitas fisik ini mengakibatkan tubuh mengalami peningkatan suhu tubuh, stres panas dan latihan.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa pengaruh aktivitas fisik anaerobik yang dilakukan setiap hari terhadap kadar Heat Shock Protein (HSP)70 otot jantung tikus wistar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kelompok anaerobik menunjukkan peningkatan kadar HSP otot jantung dibandingkan kelompok pembanding.Kata kunci : aktivitas fisik anaerobik tiap hari, HSP70, treadmill, tikus rattus novergicus wistar.AbstractHeat Shock Protein (HSP) is a protein that is produced because of the Heat Shock Response (HSR). HSR is required as a response of cells to a variety of disorders, both physiological as well as from the environment. Increased levels of HSP70 heart muscle is due to anaerobic physical activity. Physical activity causes the body to increase body temperature, heat stress and latihan.Tujuan this study is to analyze the influence of anaerobic physical activity performed every day on levels of Heat Shock Protein (HSP) 70 wistar rat cardiac muscle. Abstract

AbstractInformation of genetic variability and heritability of sorghum stem are very important for lodging-tolerant breeding program. Genotypic correlation of stem morphological character to lodging tolerance is very useful in selection program. The objectives of this experiment were to observe variability and heritability of stem character and to determine stem character that correlate with lodging tolerance. Field experiment was carried out in experimental station of Agriculture Faculty Universitas Padjadjaran. The results showed that all stem characters showed wide genetic variability except stem density and stem diameter. Low and medium heritability were showed also by stem density and stem diameter. Other stem characters showed high estimation of heritability value. Stem elasticity and number of inter-node showed negative correlation to oblique angles of stem. Other stem characters had no correlation with lodging tolerance.Keywords: genotypic correlation, heritability, lodging, sorghum, variability
