This research is about design and development of information application of Mayasari Bakti buses’ route for smartphones based on Android operating system. To search for the expected bus, this application implements Knuth-Morris-Pratt Algorithm. The application was tested on 41 respondents and the result is very useful to search for one until two buses which can take the passengers from an origin to destination location which have been selected before, and show it up on a map.

The process of recognising printed mathematical expression consists of two general processes: symbol recognition and structural analysis which reads the expression structure and the relation between symbols within the structure, provide adequate labeling to preserve it, and finally be useful to reconstruct the whole expression.This research focused on comparing the effectivity of two correlation-based pattern matching algorithms: the well-established Sum of Squared Difference (SSD) and the relatively new Optimized Sum of Absolute Difference (OSAD) which is based on average face rather than mathing all trained symbols. Which one was better will be used on the next stage of a research on converting printed mathematical expression into LaTeX notation.. Results obtained from tests conducted shown that (1) the accuracy of OSAD is 85.6% and SSD is 70,6% on various test symbols, and (2) the usage of average face in OSAD which was proposed to reduce time needed for matching, proven to have no negative effects on its matching performance. Therefore OSAD is well ahead in processing time and accuracy than SSD.

This paper discusses the process of developing an education game application using Child Centered Design (CCD) approach. This approach is chosen because the method is suitable for targeted users, preschool students range from 4 to 6 years. The processes of developing the applications consist four stages: the specification of the use of the application, the specification of application requirements, design and application development, and evaluations. Children as the main respondent in this research play an important role in three stages: determining the specifications of the use of the application, the specification of application requirements, and evaluation of applications. Seventy three children are participated in this research. Observation and discussion among the children are used to collect data and information. An observation was conducted to determine the activity and behavior of children, while the discussion method conducted to gather information and opinions of children. In particular, this research involves the interviewer and evaluators who understand the behavior of children and able to communicate with children.

IT infrastructure is an important for a company to achieve competitive advantages. All bussiness industry needs a good IT infrastructure to support their business, it also experienced by healthcare industry. However in Indonesia, there is no standarisation for IT infrastructure in hospital. The purpose of this research is to adapt NHS infrastructure maturity model (NIMMTM) based on Indonesian hospital environment, in this case RS XYZ. This research consist of 3 steps, preliminary study (1), maturity model adaptation (2), and maturity model validation (3). The adapted maturity model consist of 11 categories and 60 key capabilities. Each key capabilities has 5 perspectives, process perspective, organisation & people perspective, technology perspective, IT security & information governance perspective, and strategy alignment & business value perspective. Each perspective has at least 1 KPI and total KPI of this adapted maturity model is 432 KPIs. The adapted maturity model can be used for IT infrastructure maturity evaluation and a guidelines for enhance IT infrastructure.

Load balancing is a technique to distribute traffic load into two or more lanes to reach balanced connection, optimized traffic performance, maximized data throughput, minimized delay, and avoiding data overload. Load balancing in a computer network used to modulate the balance of bandwidth usage between multiple internet service provider. This research contains Load Balancing performance test on HTTP, FTP, and VoIP. Testing application used is OPNET Modeler 14.5 simulator, and load balancing algorithm which being tested is Least Connection, Round Robin, and Ratio. The test results shows generally Ratio is better than Least Connection and Round Robin. Ratio excels on handling End-to-End Delay and Jitter in VoIP, while Least Conncetion shows the highest throughput value in all test cases.

E-learning model can be developed into various forms according to the context of development. All of e-learning model aims to support learning process. The main objective of this study was to design online course interface that runs in mobile device using the theory of usability ISO 9241-11 in UAJY (Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta). Data was collected from 55 undergraduate students of UAJY. It is used as initial state in design process. Furthermore, online course interface design created with use case diagram that adapted to activities of HTA. Nevertheless, in the design process components of interface created by the user persona and mobile device pattern, as well as guided by MGQM, which is also adapted to the limitations of this study and the conditions in UAJY. In addition, using log data collection to handle part of MGQM, which related with time, steps, resources.

Traffic sign is needed to give information to users so they can be aware in roads. There are many types of traffic signs and each has many forms and different from each other so users sometimes have difficuty in recognizing traffic signs. In this research, the signs used are signs based on Peraturan Menteri Perhubungan Republik Indonesia Nomor PM 13 Tahun 2014. Modified Chain Code method was implemented for feature extraction process and Euclidean Distance method is used to calculating the similarity. Testing is done with 5 types of tests i.e. resize image, objects truncated, added a few objects to image, added many objects to image and noise spots. The test results showed the accuracy of the image of traffic signs to be recognized is 92.5%.

Edge detection is one of many ways to get information from an image without big data storage needed. In this research, the edge detecting is done by implementing Canny edge detection algorithm. The focus of this research is to analyze the effect of two variables of the first process of Canny, Gaussian filter smoothing, that is size of matrix and variance, to the sharpening of edge detection. The testing is done by changing the size of the matrix and the value of the variance. The results showed that the best matrix size and variance for sharp edge detection is less than 30x30 and 30.

Free trade can not be dammed again, so the impact on local businesses in particular products SME have to be able to compete with foreign products because it is supported by information and communication technology (ICT), which consists of the online market. KKN-PPM FTI UKSW was carried out to community groups businesses incorporated in the SME Kabupaten Kendal, Central Java, was carried out with methods of mentoring and development applications online market. The purpose of this program is to provide ICT field for the empowerment of the perpetrators of the SME. KKN-PPM program results are the SME capable of using ICT in particular basic creative multimedia designer label to product packaging, design content market online, and can make your business, as well as brend is able to manage the online market site independently, so the product SME Kabupaten Kendal as a potential area capable of leading to the global market.

In a learning environment, emotional factors influence student motivation. Students emotion have an important role in students' capability to learn. The tendency of the students emotion are not easily recognizable in a short time. Twitter is a popular micro-blogging system especially for students. Students post tweet about activities, experiences, their feelings anywhere, anytime and in real time. Sentiment analysis on twitter produce content sentiment that represents the feelings and emotions of students. Sentiment analysis system was built using backpropagation method at the stage of classification. In this research backpropagation network and the classification results were tested using WEKA with multilayer perceptron classifier. The results of sentiment analysis with 30 student respondents are 33.33% tendency of positive emotions, neutral emotions tendency 53.33% and 13:33% negative motional tendencies. The results are used as reference in providing the appropriate treatment of the students during the process of learning.
