Abstract

Modern era requires economic wheels to grow each year. Every regional government must have its own source of income in order to be self-sustain to their economy and not too depended to the central goverment. Therefor the government official needs to improve their regional sector to generate more income. this thesis will mainly discuss Animal Husbandry sector. Animal Husbandry sector generate income using its own slaughter house as the main source, the method to determine how impactfull the sector to the overall income of the region are 1. Contribution Analysists: to analyse the impact of the sector to overall income. 2. Growth Analysist: to analyse the growth of the income to overall income in each year. 3. Multiple Regression Analysist: to know what factor effect the sector income. The result of the method are 1. The contribution is low due to the pandemic that cause the production number to decrease. 2. The growth of sector income also decrease because of COVID19 pandemic, the pandemic cause Indonesian government to impant PPKM, a movement restriction that make the production, distribution and marketing have a decrease. 3. The 3 factor that analyzed: Livestock number slaughtered in binjai slaughter house, meat production, and population growth are all have significant positive impact to the animal husbandry sector

Abstract

The application of artificial insemination (AI) technology continues to improve, especially in South Sulawesi, one of Indonesia's beef cattle population centers. This study aims to determine the factors influencing AI implementation in South Sulawesi. Reproduction performance secondary data was obtained from iSIKHNAS. Data were tabulated by district, inseminator, cattle breed, and reproductive variables (S/C value and pregnancy percentage). Data were analyzed using descriptive, variance, and correlation analyses. Bali, Limousin, and Simmental cattle had S/C of 2.24, 2.44, and 2.61, respectively. Different district locations have better S/C (P<0.05), such as Palopo, Barru, Sidenreng Rappang, Jeneponto, North Luwu, Sinjai, Bantaeng, and Tana Toraja. The performance of inseminators had a significant effect (P<0.05). Although with a low number of inseminators, Tana Toraja had the best reproductive efficiency, compared to Soppeng, which has many inseminators but low livestock reproductive efficiency (P<0.05). In conclusion, reproductive efficiency performance is influenced by location (district topography) and inseminator performance, whereas the breed of cattle does not affect S/C values and pregnancy percentage. The results of the correlation analysis showed that S/C has a positive correlation with inseminator performance of 44.3%.

Abstract

Production performance research was carried out on three Grand Parent Stock (GPS) broiler strains, namely Indian River, Ross and Cobb. The data was obtained from the results of production performance audits of broiler GPS breeders during the laying period of 25 – 65 weeks. Variables measured include laying lifeability, egg/hen house production, rate peak production/hen house, hatching egg/hen house production, fertility, hatchibilty, and saleable chick/henhouse. Data were analyzed quantitatively using t-test, analysis of variance (Anova) and Duncan. This study showed that the Indian river strain had higher production characteristics in terms of vitality, egg production, peak production, hatching egg production, and saleable chicks. Ross strains have higher production characteristics at rates of peak production, fertility, hatchability, and saleable chicks. The cobb strain has the lowest production performance compared to the other strains. Comparison between the strains and the principle standard shows that the actual hatchability and saleable chicks were lower than the standard in the Indian Rivers strain. The Ross strain had an actual value greater than the standard for fertility, hatchability and saleable chicks. Whereas the actual values for the Cobb strain for viability, egg production, peak production, hatching egg production, and saleable chicks were lower than the standard.

Abstract

Rabbit meat production continues to increase every year. An increase rabbit meat production causes bone production to increase as well. Rabbit bones can be used further to add value. The protein content in the bones is collagen. Collagen can be hydrolyzed to produce gelatin. The gelatin demand is high enough so the rabbit bones can be utilized as gelatin raw material. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hydrochloric acid concentration on the rabbit bone gelatin and to determine the concentration of hydrochloric acid which produced the best gelatin quality. The design of the research was the Complete Random Design. The results of the study were analyzed by analysis of variance followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) if the results of previous tests yielded significantly different results. This study used five treatments of hydrochloric acid concentration (P1 = 3%, P2 = 4%, P3 = 5%, P4 = 6%, P5 = 7%) with three replications. The use of hydrochloric acid concentration did not affect the water content but did affect the yield, ash content, pH, and viscosity of rabbit bone gelatin. The use of hydrochloric acid with a concentration of 6% produced the best quality of rabbit bone gelatin with an average yield value of 3.92 ± 0.40%, water content 10.23 ± 0.89%, ash content 4.70 ± 0.07%, pH 3.75±0.17, and viscosity 10.63±0.32 mP.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and examine the characteristics and attitudes of consumers preferences towards buying beef in the Traditional Markets of Magelang City, namely Gotong Royong Market, Rejowinangun Market, and Kebonpolo Market. The research was carried out in December 2022. The research method used is descriptive analytic. The number of respondents as many as 100 people with the sampling method that is purposive random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed using the validity test, reliability test, descriptive analysis, and fishbein multi-attribute analysis. The results of the validity test and reliability test show the validity and reliability of all available question items. The research results show that consumer characteristics to be in the age group of 41-65 years, female, senior high school (SMA), work as an entrepreneur, and have a total monthly income of IDR 500,000-IDR 1,500,000. Consumer preference decisions is ruby and chili red meat colors, small amount of fat, top meat parts, and meat prices according to quality. Results fishbein multi-attribute analysis obtained a total score of 61.00, which means that consumers of the Traditional Market in Magelang City fall into the neutral or normal category for beef attributes such as color, amount of fat, portion, and price.
