Abstract

One of the causes of accidents is the lack of vigilance among drivers and violations of vehicle speed exceeding the maximum limit. To mitigate these violations, traffic supervision is necessary, especially in accident-prone areas. This research introduces a video-based vehicle speed and license plate detection system developed using YOLOv5-DeepSORT and HyperLPR to address this issue. The system employs YOLOv5 and DeepSORT to detect and track vehicle movements, thereby obtaining the displacement of the vehicle, which serves as a reference for speed detection. HyperLPR, on the other hand, is utilized for license plate recognition. The research adopts an experimental methodology, involving video recording on the Cipali toll road section, which serves as input for the vehicle speed and license plate detection program. The evaluation of vehicle object detection using YOLOv5 yields a precision metric score of 100%. Moreover, the testing of vehicle speed detection reveals an average error percentage of 7.6% compared to the actual values. In terms of license plate detection, an overall character accuracy rate of 91.82% is achieved.Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the developed vehicle speed and license plate detection system exhibit excellent accuracy and could be considered for implementation, taking into account predefined implementation criteria.Keyword: Vehicle speed, vehicle license plate, YOLOv5, DeepSORT, HyperLPR.

Abstract

Developments in the industrial world are increasingly rapid along with technological developments,autonomous robots are one of the many developed and used in the industrial world and become importantwhich is widely used in various industrial sectors. Autonomous robots move using navigation systems torecognize the environment, navigation has an important role in autonomous robots but navigation requires anaccurate map with the surrounding environment so that the robot can move in accordance with theenvironment. In this study, mapping accuracy analysis was carried out using the Hector-SLAM algorithmmethod to map the surrounding environment by simulation and real-time (robot). This research has severalimportant compounds including robot operating systems (Robot Operating System), data filters such as hectorscan matching where to construct the data obtained, the type of sensor is very influential on the quality of themap produced. This study tests whether the hector scan matching algorithm can do environment mappingaccurately. The results of this study can be concluded that, the map produced from the simulation and robot(real) has a fairly good accuracy, this is based on matching the results of the simulation mapping and robot(real) which has an accuracy of SSIM: 77.26%, MSE Error: 3.96%, Pixel Match: 55.46% of the robot mappingresults (real) while from the simulation results are displayed in the 2nd scenario used to compare with robotsobtained accuracy of SSIM: 87.29%, MSE Error: 1.65% and Pixel Match: 81.11%.

Abstract

In the digital era, VoIP communication technology is popular due to its low cost and good voicequality. At the AirNav Padang, communication is still manual using conventional telephones, which isconsidered expensive and less effective. The solution is to implement VoIP through the local network, utilizingcomputers, smartphones, headphones, and analog phones for cost efficiency and cross-divisioncommunication. Similar research has addressed cost issues with VoIP. However, VoIP implementationrequires good Quality of Service (QoS) to avoid delays, jitter, and packet loss that can disrupt communication.This research focuses on the design and analysis of QoS for a VoIP server with Briker, trunk, and IVR at thePerum LPPNPI Padang Branch Subsidiary Office. QoS measurements show an average delay of around22.754 ms, an average jitter of about 3.572 ms, and an average packet loss of about 0.04% for calls betweenclients. Meanwhile, for calls with trunk and IVR, the average delay is approximately 21.756 ms, the averagejitter is around 5.402 ms, and the average packet loss is about 0.05%. This solution can optimize cross-divisioncommunication with low costs and high efficiency.

Abstract

The development of technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is currently increasingly sophisticated, with its rapid progress making it easier for humans to do their work. One of the advances in current technology is its ability to run a tool automatically. Automation also plays an important role in the field of fish farming, where businesses are challenged to innovate in the face of the industrial revolution. The concept of modern fish farming involves automatic feeding based on a predetermined time. This allows fish farm owners to feed regularly and consistently. The research method used is a systematic literature review, by collecting data from the Google Scholar database. By using the keywords ("Automatic Fish Feed" AND "IoT"), 402 articles were obtained and then selected to get 20 articles that are relevant to the topic taken for analysis. This literature study provides an in-depth understanding of the trends and challenges in the development of IoT-based automatic fish feed devices. This article provides an overview of the development of automated fish feed. It can be concluded that automated fish feed uses one of the microcontrollers such as Arduino Uno or Arduino Nano, NodeMCU ESP8266, and Wemos D1R1 or Wemos D1 mini. Overall, the researchers have made an automatic fish feed with time accuracy that is in accordance with what has been set before.

Abstract

In a modern world filled with diverse kitchen needs, ovens have become an essential device to fulfill various cooking requirements. The availability of ovens of various sizes, operational power, and heat output is key to achieving optimal cooking results. However, temperature control in most ovens still relies on a simple on-off system, which may not be fully effective in maintaining a stable and accurate temperature. Therefore, an innovative approach is needed to improve the oven's performance, particularly in achieving and maintaining the temperature desired by the user. This research is based on the implementation of the PID (Proportional, Integral, and Derivative) Method as a control system for the oven. This method was chosen for its ability to automatically solve the output of a system, based on the proportionality, integrality, and derivativity of the difference between setpoint and actual output. The PID constant values were searched using the trial-and-error method, starting by setting all the constants Kp, Ki, and Kd to zero and increasing them until the system started to respond at Kp=20. After making repeated corrections, the static error (offset) can be resolved at Ki=0.4 and excessive oscillations can be mitigated at Kd=50. Based on the results of testing the oven's performance at temperatures of 50°C, 60°C, and 70°C, it was found that the overshoot was 80%, 60%, and 15%, respectively. Thus, the biggest overshoot is at the 50°C setpoint, and the smallest is at the 70°C setpoint. Based on three tests at different set points, the set point can track the actual output (settling time) in 2000 seconds

Abstract

Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna is a technology in wireless communication that employs several transmission and reception antennas to enhance performance and communication speed. This MIMO with four elements features a low correlation coefficient and high element isolation, with the goal of enhancing communication performance quality. In this study, a MIMO antenna is designed using CST Studio 2019 software, utilizing an FR-4 Epoxy substrate measuring 40 x 40 mm, with a thickness of 1.6 mm and a dielectric constant of 4.4. Simulation and measurement results demonstrate that the antenna design meets the specified requirements, including a low return loss value of -10 dB, a wide bandwidth of approximately 1700 MHz for simulation, and 1100 MHz for measurement. The mutual coupling value for simulation is <-15 dB, and the mutual coupling result for measurement is <-20 dB. The correlation coefficient values are < 0.1 for simulation and < 0.25 for measurement. Consequently, this antenna holds the capability to support 5Gcommunication applications with good performance quality; however, it requires refinement for further development into an effective solution for enhancing the efficiency of next-generation communication.

Abstract

The Utilization of the A* Algorithm in Determining Tour Routes in Palangka Raya City is a study aimed at providing a solution for determining optimal tourist routes for visitors in Palangka Raya City. By employing the A* algorithm, this research offers an efficient tool to find the shortest route between selected tourist destinations, considering both distance and travel cost. The method involves initializing a graph that represents the relationships between tourist destinations, followed by the implementation of the A* algorithm for finding the best route. The research findings demonstrate that this algorithm can provide optimal routes with accurate estimations of distance and cost. A brief discussion on the research results highlights the strengths and limitations of this algorithm in the context of tourism applications. In conclusion, this research makes a significant contribution to facilitating visitors in planning their tourist trips in Palangka Raya City, with the potential positive impact on the tourism industry and visitor experiences.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah Gresik University is one of the educational institutions in Gresik City. At Muhammadiyah University of Gresik there are various faculties and study programs which are certainly not far from the student attendance registration system. Muhammadiyuah Gresik University uses an attendance registration system in the form of Manual Attendance and SPADA Digital Attendance. From this attendance system, fraud often occurs. Apart from these things, the Administration of the Faculty of Engineering also has several obstacles in managing student attendance data, namely that there are two types of attendance list management so that student attendance data must be managed twice through Manual attendance and SPADA Digital Attendance. And in both systems the number of attendance is not listed, so you have to calculate attendance manually. To overcome this, an attendance system update was carried out, namely using IoT-based Fingerprint using an ESP32 microcontroller. The work process in this attendance system is that the attendance system can be monitored in real-time and record student attendance efficiently. This system is processed by an ESP32 microcontroller which then manages the data using Google Spreadsheet in real-time. The results of implementing this system can be real-time monitoring of attendance, effective data management, and reducing the occurrence of fraud in student attendance.

Abstract

In metrological supervision, the method of recording data on Measuring Instruments, Measures, Scales, and Equipment (UTTP) still uses conventional methods by writing or typing data on surveillance forms. Generally, retrieving data for one UTTP takes about 2 minutes at the earliest. This time is only for data recording and does not include the allocation of time for technical testing so that it becomes an obstacle if the number of supervised UTTPs amounts to hundreds or thousands. To reduce the duration of data recording, in this study a prototype design of a UTTP data recording system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) was carried out. The data communication system on the proposed prototype uses an On-The-Go (OTG) connection between the smartphone and Arduino UNO. This allows MFRC522 RFID modules connected to Arduino to access RFID data without the need for an external power supply and access to the network. The prototype features data storage on smartphone memory in Microsoft Excel format. Testing on the designed prototype includes data access to RFID tags in the form of cards, keys, and stickers. Based on the test, the maximum time required for the process of reading and writing data on RFID tags is 0.56 seconds, shorter than the conventional method which requires 124.56 seconds. RFID systems can detect tags up to a maximum angular tilt of 135º and can still function with barrier media in the form of plastic, wood, and cardboard.

Abstract

The Indonesia U-23 National Team is Indonesia's national football team with players under the age of 23. The Indonesian public's sentiment towards the Indonesia U-23 National Team increased rapidly during the 2024 AFC Cup period. This trend can be observed on one of the social media platforms, Instagram. Instagram is widely used by the public today. By using Instagram, we can obtain various types of information shared by the public. Within this information, there is data that can be processed into sentiment analysis. Based on this premise, a study was conducted using the K-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) method to analyze public sentiment towards user comments on Instagram. Data was collected using scraping techniques. After that, the data was cleansed and preprocessed. Then, the data was labeled and extracted using TF-IDF before being classified with K-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN). The dataset obtained from the scraping technique was imbalanced, which can affect the model's accuracy. Therefore, in this study will compared the performance of k-NN with SMOTE and k-NN without SMOTE. The experiments showed that the imbalanced data achieved only 50% accuracy for k = 3. After oversampling using SMOTE, the accuracy increased to 55% for k = 3.
