Abstract

5G New Radio (NR) services can provide high data rates and low latency. The existence of 5G technology, especially in Indonesia, has been implemented by several cellular operators in the 2300 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies. Therefore, a more detailed planning analysis is needed, especially in urban areas. In this study, planning for the 5G network needed in one of the urban areas in Cimahi City, West Java. This research was carried out for a frequency of 2300 MHz using the coverage planning analysis method. The propagation model used in this study is 3GPP TR38.900. Based on the analysis and calculations performed, obtained 26 sites for the area of ​​Cimahi City which has an area of ​​about 40.3 km². The location of the site is arranged based on the coverage conditions in the area and also based on the distribution of the 4G network that previously existed in the area, because the 5G planning used is the Non-Standalone 5G type. Based on the results of the coverage analysis carried out, the condition of the Synchronization Signal Reference Signal Received Power (SS-RSRP) signal level above -90 dBm reached 27.3% of the total area. This shows that the 5G network planning in this area can only cover an area of ​​up to a quarter of the total area.

Abstract

A path planning algorithm is asymptotically optimal if it can guarantee that it will produce an optimal solution if given sufficient time. Path-planning algorithms that can provide optimal solutions are essential in many robotic applications. The objective of this study is to propose a new asymptotic optimal path planning algorithm. The method is to improve the probabilistic road map (PRM) algorithm through three strategies. The first strategy is to use an information-based sampling technique. The second strategy is that the search area starts from a small ellipsoid subset first. The third strategy is to improve the path using the wrapping process. We call this proposed algorithm the wrapping-based informed PRM (WIPRM) algorithm. Furthermore, the performance of the WIPRM algorithm was compared with the PRM algorithm, informed rapidly-exploring random tree* (RRT*), and informed PRM. The test results show that the WIPRM algorithm can build optimal paths for all test scenarios. The computational time needed by the WIPRM algorithm to build the optimal path is better than the informed RRT* and informed PRM algorithms. These results indicate that the WIPRM algorithm could be used in various robotic systems requiring optimal path planning algorithms, such as autonomous cars, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), and autonomous undersea vehicles (AUV).

Abstract

Stroke is the highest cause of disability in the world. Most post-stroke patients experience a decrease in motor function and make the patient experience difficulties in carrying out daily activities so that they need assistance from a companion. As a result of dysartia experienced by patients, companions need to be on guard all the time by the patient's side to anticipate the patient's needs. This makes patient companions have limitations in carrying out their daily activities. Based on these problems, an innovative communication tool for post-severe stroke patients was created with gesture recognition based on the Internet of Things. This tool can assist patients in communicating their needs appropriately while at the same time making patient companions remain productive because there is no need to stand guard accompanying patients as long as they are not needed. The research method used is a planned experiment beginning with problem identification, literature study, product design, system integration, product verification and validation. Based on data analysis, the system is functioning properly, successfully sending daily activity notifications to the accompanying Android application when the patient wants to move. This tool is very useful for post-stroke patients as a tool to communicate their needs, and is also useful for companions so that time for caring for patients is not wasted. For further development, this tool can adjust the patient's motoric abilities that are still functioning, such as head movements, facial expressions, etc., as well as adding various types of activities to the tool.

Abstract

In places with limited wind resources, only the installation of Small Horizontal-Axis Wind Turbines (SHAWT) can be advantageous. With today's technological advances, wind turbines must have more sophisticated controls. The aim of this research is to simulate the blade pitch angle control in a wind turbine using fuzzy logic based on Matrix Laboratory (MATLAB). Then the blade pitch angle on the wind turbine can be controlled steadily. The wind speed input parameters are determined in advance so that the blade pitch angle parameter can be obtained, and the resulting mechanical power output parameters are in the 20,000 watt range. The study's findings include Simulink simulations in MATLAB and blade pitch angle plant on wind turbines that can achieve stable conditions. The fuzzy logic controller simulation in the blade pitch angle plant on the wind turbine has a high level of stability. However, the time needed to achieve stability is relatively long compared to other controllers. The conclusion of this research is that Simulink in MATLAB can simulate the process of controlling the balde pitch angle on a wind turbine with a fuzzy logic controller. Next, the blade pitch angle plant on a wind turbine with a fuzzy logic controller can be controlled stably at an input wind speed of 20 m/s with a rated power value between 18,000 and 20,000 Watts.

Abstract

This journal discusses electric power-based vehicle technology or EV, where currently EV technology is developing rapidly demanding technological advances that are friendly to the environment, EV technology is combined with inline skating. This tool is specifically designed in a concise way so that it can be taken anywhere. The maximum speed of this tool is around 13 km/hour with a source of electricity using a rechargeable battery so there is no need to worry about fuel emissions. The type of battery used is LiPo with a capacity of 10400 mAh, with a charging time of around 6 hours 18 minutes. The footrest is also designed to be universal so that it can be used with shoes of various types and sizes. As well as gas and brake systems via a remote radio controller. This tool uses radio communication to communicate and send data to each other. The radio module used is the NRF24L01, which is a radio module that can receive and send data via 2.4 Ghz radio waves. Controlled using the Arduino Nano microprocessor. It is hoped that this tool can be an alternative short-distance transportation.

Abstract

Automotive companies are currently quite common in every country, one of which is Japan. Following this technology, Indonesia has begun to develop automotive production with the city car concept. The car produced in Indonesia is named Agya which is taken from the Sanskrit word which means "fast". Agya is produced by Astra, Toyota and Daihatsu companies. Based on these three companies, Astra chose Toyota, which took the car with the name Agya as the production name to be sold. Agya cars in Batam City can be found pretty much anywhere, such as on highways, malls, offices, airports and ports. Agya car sales increased in line with consumer demand, because the city car was included in the inexpensive selling price category, compared to other city cars whose names are well known overseas or domestically. There are some users who already own Agya cars and resell them, of course there could be potential for the process of selling used Agya brand cars. Buying a used car, of course, has a lot to pay attention to, even if the car has only been used, for example, for about 3 months. The process that must be considered if we want to buy a used car is the condition of the engine, interior condition, and exterior condition. However, what is more to be considered is whether the price of the used car is in accordance with the condition of the car.

Abstract

One of the problems in the world industry is the water level control system. Water level control is carried out at the holding tank, which is a common problem when the water level in the holding tank is not known, and lack of monitoring of the holding tank can lead to storage space or tank emptying. This study aims to control the water level system so that it reaches the set water level level point. The methodology used is by utilizing the fluid system that enters the tank and can vary the speed of the water pump with a DC motor, this research is simulated using the MATLAB application. 4 types of control have been carried out, namely P, PI, PD, and PID controllers, this is to find out which controller is best applied to a water level control system. In this study, the PID controller has the best results because it has a fast rise time, no overshoot, settling time and small steady-state error. Using PID control, it is possible to maintain water level levels to achieve the required efficiency and productivity.

Abstract

Abstrak - Kebutuhan akan sistem kontrol yang efektif dan efisien saat ini semakin dibutuhkan, contohnya pada industri pemilahan sampah yang menggunakan conveyor belt bermesin bensin sebagai alat mobilisasi sampah yang akan disortir, namun beban sampah yang berbeda beda mengakibatkan pergerakan conveyor belt tidak stabil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengendalikan kecepatan putaran mesin bensin dengan menerapkan sensor dan aktuator pengendali yang diimplementasikan dengan algoritma sistem kendali PID, serta mencari nilai parameter KP, Ki, Kd yang tepat agar kecepatan dapat mencapai set point dengan waktu dan stabilitas terbaik. Penelitian dilakukan pada mesin bensin jenis Stihl PC-75 dengan menggunakan sensor hall effect sebagai sensor kecepatan, sensor potensiometer yang digunakan untuk mengetahui posisi gas, serta aktuator pengendali kecepatannya yaitu motor DC yang didesain untuk menarik kabel throttle gas, untuk memproses pengolahan data dilakukan pada mikrokontroler Arduino Mega 2560. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah sensor hall effect mampu membaca kecepatan sampai 18000 rpm dengan menggunakan filter moving average bernilai 25 sampling, dan aktuator pengendali gas mampu bekerja pada sistem ini, nilai parameter PID terbaik untuk mencapai set point 8000 rpm berada pada nilai Kp = 0.51, Ki = 0.3, Kd = 5, menghasilkan waktu 15,5 detik untuk mencapai keadaan stabil dan dengan error kestabilan 3,88%. Kata kunci: PID, mesin bensin, hall effect, kecepatan, kestabilan.

Abstract

Increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of agriculture can be done by applying sensor technology, automation, monitoring, and remote control through the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). One of the technologies used is Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The presence of the ESP32's System on Chip (SoC) makes it possible to implement a battery-powered WSN device that is suitable for agricultural purposes when the electrical infrastructure is limited. In this research, a battery-powered BLE sensor node prototype has been created. The node can transmit temperature, humidity, and battery level information. The data sent has been designed based on the Bluetooth Generic Attribute Profile (GATT) standards and specifications. nRF Connect’s application shows that the data sent by the designed node complies with the GATT attributes standard. Testing of temperature and humidity sensor readings has also been carried out with 1% and 2.2% errors respectively. Tests were also carried out on battery-level readings and a 4.2% error was obtained. Through distance testing between nodes, the node can transmit data properly up to 10 meters.

Abstract

Milk is a perishable food product, to extend its shelf life, a heating technique called pasteurization can be applied. The purpose of pasteurization is to kill pathogenic bacteria that can be harmful to human health and minimize the growth of other spoilage microorganisms. This study aims to design a milk pasteurization system that can regulate temperature stably in the HTST pasteurization method using type-1 fuzzy logic and type-2 fuzzy logic. Type-2 fuzzy logic is a further development of type-1 fuzzy logic, with an additional dimension of membership function, allowing type-2 fuzzy logic systems to represent more flexible fuzzy sets and better represent uncertainty than type-1 fuzzy logic. Two tests were conducted to compare the performance of the two systems, one with no disturbance (noise) and other with disturbance. The result showed that in the test with no disturbance, type-2 fuzzy logic performed better than type-1 fuzzy logic in terms of maximum overshoot, while type-1 fuzzy logic performed better in terms of rise time. However, in the test with disturbance, type-2 fuzzy logic outperformed type-1 fuzzy logic at achieving rise time and settling time and was able to maintain or approach the temperature setpoint for a longer period than type-1 fuzzy logic.
