Idrak: Journal of Islamic Education adalah jurnal berkala ilmiah yang diterbitkan Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Ar-Raudlatul Hasanah, Medan, sejak 01 Desember 2018. Jurnal ini mengkaji ilmu-ilmu yang terkait dengan Pendidikan Islam dan Pondok Pesantren. Jurnal ini bertujuan sebagai media pertukaran ide dan gagasan di antara para dosen, pengamat maupun peneliti mengenai dua lingkup studi tersebut.
Idrak: Jorunal of Islamic Education menerima karya tulis baik berupa artikel ilmiah, hasil penelitian atau review buku, dan dijadwalkan terbit setiap bulan Juni dan Desember setiap tahun.

This paper describe the contribution of Syaikh Ali Hasan Ahmad Ad-Dary (scholars of hadis) on Islamic Education in North Sumatra. This research is the study of figures using library research. Islamic education activities in North Sumatra were initially held in the residences of preachers/ ulama and in various mosques as centers of Islamic activities as practiced Syaikh Hasan Ma’shum (1884-1937) in Medan, Syaikh Ja’far Abdul Qodir Al Mandily (1894-1958) and his younger brother Syaikh Muhammad Ya’kub Abdul Qodir Al Mandily (1914-1984) in Panyabungan, Madina. Then Islamic education developed and institutionalized with the founding of the establishment of the MusthafawiyahIslamic Boarding School in Purbabaru, Madina, Madrasah Maslurah (1912) and the Aziziyah Madrasah (1923) in Tanjung pura, Langkat, Maktab Islamiyah Tapanuli in Medan (1918) then the establishment of Islamic colleges and universities. In addition, the development of Islamic education in North Sumatra was also driven by several leaders/ scholars such as Syaikh Mustafa Husein, Syaikh Abdul Halim Khatib, Syaikh M. Arsyad Thalib Lubis and Syaikh Ali Hasan Ahmad Ad-Dary. Syaikh Ali Hasan Ahmad Ad-Dary's contribution in Islamic Education in North Sumatra is writing several Islamic education textbooks as a guide for students in the teaching and learning process, publishing and printing several Islamic education textbooks through his publishers Penerbit Al-Mahfuzh Budi, established several Islamic schools, madrasas and universities in North Sumatra. Syaikh Ali Hasan Ahmad Ad-Dary also participated in establishing the North Sumatra State Islamic Institute (IAIN SU)

Nahdlatul Ulama is an Islamic organization in Indonesia, which until now exist in themiddle of the community, and has branches in several countries. NU interest manypeople because of its universal fikrah; founded by Hadratus Sheikh KH. Hasyim Asy’arisince before the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, 1926.Its existence until now of course after going through colorful political system at thattime, beginning from the physical revolution, the old order (orde lama), the new order(orde baru), up to the present democratic era. NU was led by Chairman of the NU, one ofthe chairmen is KH. Dr. Idham who contribute many things and successful lead within aperiod of 28 years (1956-1984) at times critical, such as receiving a guided democracy,Nasakom and periods of 1959 decree.There are many progress and struggles of Idham Chalid toward NU, both in the field ofeducation, economic, political, social and religious; NU gait also in the state and nation,as well as his contribution to the international world. Idham’s role as a leader of Islamicorganizations and also as a statesman who concurrently various legislative and executivepositions, from the old order to new order, giving a conclusion that religion and stateshould be hand in hand and mutually reinforcing.

History, although in basic understanding seems to talk about something that has passed,actually save a lot of lessons. This paper departs from a character's study of MuhammadAli Pasha who made many innovations in the field of Islamic education. He was found asa person who has a unique side, namely his personality who has no history of educationin childhood because of the pressure of life but grew as a leader who made manyinnovations. Some innovations that can be called are its policy of putting thegovernment as the center that develops education itself. Another innovation is theongoing traditional and modern educational activities together so that the scientificscope is separated from the dichotomous aspects. Muhammad Ali Pasha was also notedas a leader who paid attention to the development and expansion of the education areaso as to bring in European teachers to be able to take their expertise and practice in theEgyptian region, besides sending Egyptian youth to study in other regions to becomecadres in the realm he wanted to grow and develop. Even so, it does not mean thatMuhammad Ali Pasha's contribution and contribution in educational innovation can beswallowed up to be realized in Islamic educational institutions. More in-depthassessment of aspects, content and impacts that have been carried out to take what isneeded and leave what is not needed.

Since the last decade, the Indonesian education system has undergone a significantorientation change, namely from segregation education towards towards inclusiveeducation that strives to provide education services for people with disabilities in regular education institutions (non-SLB). In many public education institutions, the implementation of inclusive education experiences paradigmatic and technical constraints, which has implications for the low process of transforming institutions into an inclusive education system. On the other hand, Indonesia has an Pesantren as institution that has proven to be able to play a strategic role in the history of education. The institution also holds a lot of potential that can be used as a basic material for building inclusive education. Through its wealth, pesantren can design inclusive education quickly, distinctively and classically.

Salah satu problematika masyarakat postmodern adalah euforia perbedaan. Ketika arus multikulturalisme itu mencapai eksremitasnya, akan lahir rasisme, yaitu puncak individu atau kelompok meneguhkan perbedaannya sehingga tidak bisa dipertemukan. Wacana ini sangat bertentangan dengan penjelasan Alquran (al-Hujarat: 13), yang mengindikasikan bahwasanya seluruh bangsa adalah kawan, seluruh manusia adalah sahabat, dan tujuan yang paling akhir adalah perdamaian. Dengan pendekatan library research, kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa konsep pendidikan multikultural berbasis Alquran dalam membangun karakter kebangsaan penting dielaborasi, yang meliputi: Ketauhidan Kemanusiaan, Persatuan, Permusyawaratan, dan Keadilan. Hal ini berdasarkan deskripsi Alquran mengenai interkoneksi dan interaksi harmonis antara manusia dengan Allah(h}abl ma’a Alla>h), manusia dengan dirinya sendiri (h}abl ma’a nafsih ) manusia dengan manusia (h}abl ma’a al-na>s). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tafsir maud}u>’i> dan metode historis-kritis-kontekstual. Dari itu, diperoleh bahwa sesungguhnya konsep pendidikan multikultural berbasis Alquran dapat membangun karakter kebangsaan dengan empat langkah, yaitu; penerapan pendidikan multikultural bersandarkan akidah, pengembangan potensi intelektual manusia, pengembangan akhlak baik terhadap sesama, penerapan menyerukan kedamaian.
