Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni is an international journal dedicated for the publication of scientific articles in language education, literature, and arts education. It was firstly published on March 2000 with ISSN 1411-3732 in 2007 by Faculty of Language Literature and Arts Universitas Negeri Padang. This journal had ever been changed into Jurnal Bahasa dan Seni during 2004-2013. In 2014 this journal is renamed as Komposisi: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa, Sastra, dan Seni applies open journal system (OJS) and peer-reviewed online journal in 2017 with Online ISSN 2548-9097.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the development strategy of art based instruction directive instruction. Learning development strategy is realized through design planning and systematic learning system to solve learning problems. This can be done by adopting relevant learning models. Directive Instruction as a model is done by creating a lesson plan, ie identifying topics, determining learning objectives, and selecting examples and problems. The process of learning planning for a directive instruction model starts from identifying one specific skill desired by educators and learners to be understood and used, formulating specific learning goals that learners are expected to learn, finding and creating high-quality examples that help learners in order to be able to develop a conceptual foundation for the skills that learners will apply later in later examples.Keywords: Strategy, Art Learning, Directive Instruction.STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN SENI BERBASIS MODEL DIRECTIVE INSTRUCTIONAbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan strategi pengembangan pembelajaran seni berbasis directive instruction. Strategi pengembangan pembelajaran diujudkan melalui perencanaan desain dan sistem pembelajaran yang sistematis untuk memecahkan permasalahan pembelajaran. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan mengadopsi model pembelajaran yang relevan. Directive Instruction sebagai sebuah model dilakukan dengan membuat rencana pembelajaran, yaitu mengidentifikasi topik, menentukan tujuan belajar, dan memilih contoh dan masalah. Proses perencanaan pembelajaran untuk model directive instruction dimulai dari mengidentifikasi satu keterampilan spesifik yang diinginkan oleh pendidik dan peserta didik untuk dipahami dan digunakan, merumuskan tujuan-tujuan belajar spesfifik yang diharapkan peserta didik untuk dipelajari, menemukan dan membuat contoh-contoh berkualitas tinggi yang membantu peserta didik agar mampu mengembangkan fondasi konseptual bagi keterampilan-keterampilan yang akan diterapkan peserta didik kemudian pada contoh-contoh selanjutnya.Kata Kunci: Strategi, Pembelajaran Seni, Directive Instruction.

Abstract

The Tenggelamnya Kapal Van der Wijck is a phenomenal Hamka’s novel. One of the most important values in this novel is the author's criticism of the implementation of Minangkabau adat (custom) claiming to be based on the Islamic religion contained in the adatum Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah (ABS-SBK) ‘custom is based on syariah, syariah is based on the Kitabullah (Al Quran)’. Abstract

This article aims to examine the impact of Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) strategies on students' reading comprehension. This research type is experiment with quasi experiment design. The data of this research is obtained by reading comprehension test of student of third semester of English education of STKIP Nias Selatan. Data obtained from these tests were analyzed using T-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that t count is larger than ttable. In a sense Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) strategy has an impact on students' reading comprehension. Strategy is very helpful for students in determining the main idea and draw conclusions from a text that is read.

Abstract

This article aims to investigate the extent to which the implementation of Scientific Approach by English teacher who taught in tenth grade at SMAN 7 Padang. Researcher tries to see the implementation of Scientific Approach in teaching and learning process, assessment and problems faced by the English teachers in teaching and learning process using scientific approach in 2013 Curriculum. Kind of the research is descriptive method. Data of the research were taken from observation and interview. Direct observation were done to see the activities and assessments conducted by English teachers in the classroom. Then, the researchers interviewed the English teacher to know the extent to which the implementation of Scientific approach in teaching and learning processes related to observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and communicating. Then, the problems in the teaching and learning process were identified. The results showed that 69% of the steps in the scientific approach implemented by the English teacher. However the English teachers only used 62% of assessments based on the 2013 curriculum. Atferwards, there were problems faced by English teachers in the learning process in each steps in the scientific approach in the aspect of 2013 Curriculum.Key Words: Implementation, Scientific Approach, Teaching English, 2013 CurriculumIMPLEMENTASI PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DALAM PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS PADA KELAS 10AbstrakArtikel bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi sejauh mana penerapan Pendekatan Saintifik oleh guru Bahasa Inggris yang mengajar di kelas X SMAN 7 Padang. Peneliti mencoba untuk menemukan penerapan Pendekatan Saintifik dalam proses belajar dan mengajar, penilaian dan permasalahan dalam proses belajar dan mengajar dengan menggunakan Pendekatan Saintifik pada Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara. Observasi langsung untuk melihat kegiatan dan penilaian yang dilakukan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris di dalam kelas. Kemudian, peneliti mengadakan wawancara dengan guru Bahasa Inggris untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerapan Pendekatan Saintifik dalam proses belajar dan mengajar yang berkaitan dengan observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and communicating. Kemudian, Permasalahan dalam proses belajar dan mengajar tersebut kemudian diidentifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa 69% tahap-tahap pendekatan saintifik diterapkan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris. Akan tetapi dalam penilaian guru Bahasa Inggris hanya menggunakan 62% jenis penilaian berdasarkan Kurikulum 2013. Lalu, dalam proses belajar mengajar terdapat permasalahan yang dihadapi guru Bahasa Inggris di setiap langkah – langkah pada pendekatan saintifik dalam aspek Kurikulum 2013.Kata Kunci: Implementation, Scientific Approach, Teaching English, 2013 Curriculum

Abstract

This article aims to interpret the educational values which embodied in the song of Kambanglah Bungo created by Syofyan Naan. The process of interpretation is done by a multidisciplinary hermeneutic analysis. Interpretation is generated by associating the aspects of language, music/songs, psychological, socio-cultural, and education, so that has five (5) educational values, namely: (1) love the realm of Minang, (2) awareness and self-esteem, (3) concern and responsibility, (4) alert and surveillance, (5) discipline. Educational values serve as the vehicle for educating the students to create the actions and behaviors that reflect the character of the Minang people. Education and learning as a means of inheritance of cultural values is obliged to explore, actualize, socialize, and civilize these values in a sustainable way in order to build the character of students that habitual and cultured.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the results of Japanese error analysis research in Indonesia which always indicates on mother language interference factor and competency factor as the cause of error. Therefore, this study has a purpose to prove it and find the cause of language errors from the student side, that is the strategy that students do when producing language (modification doshi). The results of this study indicate that the cause of student error in modifying doshi there are three factors. These factors are performance, competence, and generalization factors (student strategy). Keywords: language production strategy, error, performance, competence, generalization.   STRATEGI PEMRODUKSIAN BAHASA YANG BERPOTENSI MEMUNCULKAN KESALAHAN: Kesalahan Modifikasi Doushi pada Tes Bunpo MahasiswaAbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena hasil-hasil penelitian analisis kesalahan berbahasa Jepang di Indonesia yang selalu mengindikasikan pada faktor interferensi bahasa ibu dan faktor kompetensi sebagai penyebab kesalahan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk membuktikannya dan menemukan penyebab kesalahan berbahasa dari sisi mahasiswa, yaitu strategi yang dilakukan mahasiswa ketika memroduksi bahasa (modifikasi doshi). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyebab kesalahan mahasiswa dalam memodifikasi doshi ada tiga faktor. Faktor tersebut adalah performansi, kompetensi, dan faktor generalisasi (strategi mahasiswa).Kata Kunci: strategi pemroduksian bahasa, error, performansi, kompetensi, generalisasi.
