Abstract

The purpose of this study was aim to: (1) household income effects on woman’s choice using “KB”, (2) mother’s education effects on woman’s choice using “KB, and (3) total household member effects on woman’s choice using “KB” in West Sumatera Province. This study used secondary data from Survey Sosial Ekonomi Nasional with totaled 2133 samples. The analyses technique are logistic regression analyses. The result showed that: (1) household income has an unsignificant effect on woman’s choice using “KB”, (2) mother’s education has significant effect on woman’s choice using “KB”, (3) total household member has an unsignificant effect on woman’s choice using “KB”, (4) mother’s age has a negative effect on woman’s choice using “KB”,  household income, mother’s education, total household member and mother’s age has a positive effect parcially on woman’s choice using “KB”.Keyword : household income, mother’s  education, household member, mother’s age

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in life expectancy, the average, the difference in GDP per capita, and differences in poverty rates between developed regions rich natural resources and developed regions poor in natural resources. This study uses Typology Klassen in sampling, The results showed that there are significant differences in life expectancy in developed regions are rich in natural resources and advanced regions poor in natural resources. There are significant differences in the average length of school in the forward region rich in natural resources and advanced regions poor in natural resources. There are significant differences in GDP per capita between developed regions rich natural resources and developed regions poor in natural resources. There were no significant differences in the levels of poverty in the developed regions rich in natural resources with advanced regions poor in natural resourcesKeyword : natural resource curse, life expetancy, length of school, GDP, poverty

Abstract

This study aimed to analyzed the effect of the construction of basic infrastructure for economic growth in 26 provinces by using secondary data from 2004 – 2009. The model used is multiple linear regression using Panel Data with  Fixed Effect Analysis Method. The results of this study show variable electricity and roads in a positive and significant effect on economic growth in the region in 26 provincial in Indonesia. The provincial government is expected to prioritize the allocation of funds for the improvement of access to basic infrastructure (roads, electricity, telephone, and water), especially in remote areas, so as to boost economic growth in each province in Indonesia. Keywords: economicgrowth, basic infrastructur, data pael, FEM

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze: (1) education imbalance, (2) the effect of education expansion on education imbalance, and (3) the correlate of education imbalance on economic growth in West Sumatera Province. This research is descriptive and asosiative, it’s describe the variable and found whether there is influence between independent variable with dependent variable. This study used Survey Sosial Ekonomi Nasional years 2005, 209 and 2013. The data examied totaled 57 observations. The analyses technique are descripyive and inductive. Inductive analyses include panel data analyses, determinant coefficient, hypothesis test and coreelation test.The result showed that: education imbalance in West Sumatera Province came to low imbalance, with the lowest imbalance on Padang City with education gini index as 0,2149. The result also showed that education imbalance on city has lower gini index than regency, (2) education expansion has a negative significantly impact on education imbalance in West Sumatera Province with regression coeffecient as 0,02557, (3) education imbalance has a negative correlation with economic growth with correlation coefficient as 0,001712.    Keywords : educatio imbalance, education expansion, economic growth

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze: (1) Probability of Real Effective Exchange Rate, Foreign Exchange Reserves, Export, Import, loan to deposit ratio, Return to the assets of the financial crisis in Indonesia. Using data from the years 1995 to 2014 times series. This research is using Early warning system using econometric approach, through the Exchange Market Pressure (EMP). These results indicate: (1) Real Exchange Rate Efecctive have significant opportunities to the financial crisis. (2) The foreign exchange reserves have significant opportunities to the financial crisis. (3) Exports have significant opportunities to the financial crisis. (4) imports did not have significant opportunities to financial krissi. (5) The loan to deposit ratio has a significant opportunity to the financial crisis. (6) Return to Asset does not have significant opportunities to the financial crisis. (7) Real Efecctive Exchange Rate, foreign exchange reserves, exports, imports, loan to deposit ratio and Return to Asset jointly chance against the financial crisis in Indonesia.Keyword  : Exchange Market Pressure, Early Waring System crises

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth, educational level, and the number of people on the unemployment rate on regency / city of West Sumatra during 2011- 2013. Data used in this research is secondary data, in the form of time series (2011-2013) and cross section (19 districts / cities) of West Sumatra province. The results showed: economic growth  has a negative impact and no significant effect on the unemployment rate , Level of education has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate ,Total population  has a positive and significant effect on the unemployment rate and Together economic growth (X1), education level (X2), and population (X3) has a significant impact on the unemployment rate (Y) in the district / city of West Sumatra province..Keyword : unemployment rate, economic growth, education level, popolation

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of government education expenditure, government health expenditure and government infrastructure expenditure (housing and public facilities) on Human Development Index (HDI) in Aceh Province as an indicator of public welfare. The scope of study is 23 districts/cities in Aceh Province by using secondary data over period 2010-2013. The model used is multiple linear regression using panel data with Random Effect Model. The results show factors that influence on public welfare in Aceh Province are measured by Human Development Index significantly government education expenditure and government health expenditure. While government infrastructure expenditure (housing and public facilities) does not significantly influence the significance level of 5 percent but significant at 10 percent of the Human Development Index (HDI) of Aceh Province. From these results, this study suggests for local government in Aceh to pay attention to the budget set to be better alocated so that the Human Development Index (HDI) or public welfare in Aceh Province will improve. Keyword : public welfare, HDI, government expenditure, panel, REM

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of inflation, Loan To Deposit Ratio, and economic growth of the Non-Performing Loan in Rural Bank of West Sumatra.The type of data in this research is secondary data that is both quantitative and Time Series Data from the years 2005-2013. Data were analyzed with regression methods and estimation OLS (Ordinary Least Square).The results showed that: (1) inflation is not a significant negative effect on the Bank's Non-Performing Loan Rural West Sumatera (2) Loan To Deposit Ratio was not significant positive effect on Non-Performing Loans in the Bank Rural West Sumatera  (3) economic growth significant negative effect on Non-Performing Loans in the Rural Bank of West Sumatra, (4) inflation, Loan To Deposit Ratio and economic growth together significant effect on Non-Performing Loans in the Rural Bank of WestKeywords : Inflation, Loan To Deposit Ratio, economic growth.
