Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the greatest prevalence of smokers in the world. Exposure to cigarette smoke can lead to the physiological impact for women that can inhibit estrogen synthesis in the ovaries and increase levels of Malondyaldehyde (MDA). The purpose of this study to analyze the effect of vitamin E against MDA and estrogen rat (Rattus norvegicus) females were exposed to smoke. This research is an experimental design Post-Test Only Control Group. The total sample consisted of 30 rats females were divided into 5 groups: negative control group without treatment, the positive control group were given exposure to cigarette smoke 1 cigarettes / day and 3 treatment groups P1, P2 and P3 with vitamin E doses of multilevel: 100, 200 and 400 mg / kg / day and exposure to tobacco smoke 1 cigarettes / day. Research carried out for 21 days at Animal house and in the Biomedical Laboratory Faculty of Medicine, University of Andalas Padang. MDA and estrogen hormone levels were measured using ELISA method. Test of significance with One Way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni Multiple Comparisons types. The results showed significant differences (p <0.05) MDA levels between the negative control group (0.53 ± 0.04) positive control group (0.67 ± 0.07). In the estrogen levels also differed significantly (p <0.05) between the negative control group (0.27 ± 0.04) with P2 group (0.38 ± 0.07). In conclusion, there is no effect of vitamin E against MDA both in the negative control group and positive control group.

The research sample was taken by purposive sampling, amounting to 37 respondents. The results of the univariate study showed that mothers during pregnancy had normal hemoglobin levels with higher normal birth weight, namely 18 people (75.0%) compared to LBW birth weight, namely 2 people (15.4%) while mothers during pregnancy had hemoglobin levels with severe anemia. LBW births were greater, namely 11 people (84.6%) compared to normal birth weight, namely 6 people (25.0%). The results of the Chi Square statistical test showed that P-Value = 0.002 <? (0.05) means that there is a significant relationship between maternal hemoglobin levels during pregnancy and birth weight at the Abi Ummi DW Sarmadi clinic in Palembang in 2020. Advice to midwives or health workers at the Abi Ummi clinic Dw Sarmadi Palembang can improve education about anemia, check hemoglobin levels in the early and late trimesters of pregnancy during pregnancy visits so that one of the causes of anemia in pregnancy can be prevented as one of the causes of the occurrence of babies born with LBW. Abstract

Unmet need is the proportion of women of childbearing age who are married or living together (sexually active) who do not want to have more children or who want to space their pregnancies, but do not use contraceptives. The impact of unmet need for family planning is the occurrence of unwanted pregnancies and the pregnancy is too close. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with unmet need in Simpang Empat Kelurahan Pekanbaru City in 2017. This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross sectional design. The population was 507 households with a sample of 81 people. This research was conducted in Simpang Empat Village, Pekanbaru City, conducted in September-December 2017. Data analysis used chi-square. The results of this study are that there is a relationship between age (p value = 0.000), number of children, level of education, knowledge, attitudes, partner support and social media with unmet need. Meanwhile, there was no relationship between the role of health workers and unmet need (p value = 0.930). The suggestion is for PUS to be able to increase knowledge about the right variety of contraceptive methods according to their needs. Correct information and knowledge can eliminate wrong perceptions and attitudes towards contraceptives. It is recommended that fertile age couples use social media wisely without swallowing the circulating information.

Abstract

The leadership style of the head of the room plays a very important role in improving nursing performance.  Based on the results of interviews with 10 nurses in the inpatient room of RSUD Rokan Hulu, it was found that nurses could not improve their performance because there was still a lack of direction from the head of the room when there was a problem in the room and the room head's ability to provide future goals was still low.  This study aims to determine the effect of the leadership style of the head of the room on the performance of nurses in the inpatient room of the Rokan Hulu Regional General Hospital.  This research is quantitative analytic observational with a cross-sectional design.  The study was conducted from August to September 2020. A sample of 82 respondents was taken using a proportional sampling technique.  Data generated by univariate, bivariate, multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression risk factor models.  The results showed that the performance of nurses was good 52.4%, good leadership style was 63.4%.  There is an influence of leadership style on nurse performance (p 0.004).  A good leadership style has the opportunity to improve the performance of nurses to be good 3,673 times after being controlled by tenure.  The conclusion is that there is an effect of leadership style on nurse performance after being controlled by tenure.  It is recommended for the hospital to provide training and provide leadership seminars to the head of the room so that the head of the room can lead and direct the nurse to work better, evaluate the leadership of the head of the room, implement a reward and punishment system.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a normal, natural process that begins with the growth and development of an intrauterine fetus and starts from conception to delivery. (Dewi, 2011) Hemodilution occurs from 10 weeks of gestation and peaks at 32-36 weeks of gestation. If the hemoglobin is before about 11 g%, the occurrence of hemodilution will result in physiological anemia and Hb will be 9.5 to 10 g%. Based on the report of the Pekanbaru City Health Office (2012), the number of pregnant women suffering from mild-moderate anemia in Pekanbaru City in 2011 was 1105 people and in 2012 there were 703 people. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of giving guava in increasing HB levels in pregnant women with anemia at PMB Dince Safrina Pekanbaru. This type of research is quasi experimental (quasi-experimental) with a one group pretest posttest approach. Sampling in this study using non random sampling technique with purposive sampling. The population in this study were all anemia pregnant women at PMB Dince Syafrina in November 2020. The analyzes used were univariate and bivariate. Abstract

Pregnancy is a period of crisis in a woman's life process. The period in which changes occur in all body systems, including the cardiovascular, respiratory, hormonal, gastrointestinal, and musculoskletal systems. Pregnant women during pregnancy experience physical and psychological changes that can cause discomfort from the 1st to 3rd trimesters. One of them is the enlargement of the uterus, it will affect the fulfillment of sleep rest because of difficulty in determining a comfortable position, besides hormonal changes can cause psychological changes in pregnant women making it difficult to meet and maintain sleep. Sleep is an important factor in overall health. Improving sleep quality can be done in many ways, which among them are pharmacological and non-pharmacological techniques. Pharmacological method is a therapy commonly given to sleep disorder sufferers which functions to reduce anxiety, stress and give calm. But not for pregnant women, because it has the potential to increase the risk to the fetus and its impact on fetal growth and development. Therefore, choosing to use a non-pharmacological method is more appropriate, because its use has less side effects compared to pharmacological methods. One of the non-pharmacological techniques that can be given to overcome sleep difficulties in pregnant women includes relaxation techniques such as loving massage, yoga, progressive muscle relaxation, massage, music therapy, meditation, swimming, deep breathing techniques and walking.
