Abstract

Hospitalization is a process that requires a person to be hospitalized for treatment, until they are allowed to go home. This process often causes stress and anxiety, especially for children, because they have to adapt to a foreign environment, be separated from their families, and undergo medical treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of bibliotherapy with picture story books on reducing children's anxiety levels in the Lily Room of Anwar Medika Hospital, Sidoarjo. The research design used a Quasi-experiment with a one-group pre-test–post-test design. The population in this study were all children treated in the Lily Room of Anwar Medika Hospital. The sample was taken using an accidental sampling technique, obtaining 37 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there is an effect of bibliotherapy with picture story books on reducing the level of hospitalization anxiety in children in the Lily Room of Anwar Medika Hospital, Sidoarjo. Bibliotherapy with picture books is highly effective in reducing anxiety in children because the text and illustrations in books are engaging and provide a distraction that can reduce anxiety.

Abstract

Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy (BSE) and milk production are two important components that directly influence breastfeeding success. Hypnopressure, a combination of hypnosis and acupressure, is considered capable of improving the psychological condition of mothers and stimulating the physiological mechanisms involved in the lactation process. This study aims to analyze the effect of hypnopressure on BSE and milk production in breastfeeding mothers. The study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. The sample consisted of 17 normal postpartum mothers selected through purposive sampling. BSE was measured using the Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale–Short Form (BSES-SF), while milk production was measured using an electric pump. The hypnopressure intervention was given for seven days with a duration of 40 minutes per session. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant increase in milk production, with the average volume increasing from 10.29 ml before the intervention to 58.18 ml after the intervention (p = 0.000). Similarly, the BSE score increased significantly from an average of 49.82 to 56.53 (p = 0.000). These findings indicate that hypnopressure plays a role in increasing relaxation, reducing anxiety, and strengthening hormonal responses through increased secretion of oxytocin and prolactin. This study concludes that hypnopressure is effective in increasing BSE and milk production in breastfeeding mothers. This intervention is recommended as a non-pharmacological strategy that can be integrated into midwifery services to support breastfeeding success, especially for mothers with high stress levels or low milk production.

Abstract

The golden age period is a time of growth for children that occurs early in theirlives. During this period, children's growth and development occur veryrapidly. The foundation of children's growth and development during thegolden age is the family environment. The family is the primary environmentfor children's growth and development, shaping the good and bad aspects ofhuman personality. The role of mothers as parents is very important in forminga bonding attachment with children. Working mothers have less time withtheir children, which can affect their development. The treatment given byparents to children, whether in the form of affection or protection, accordingto the child's needs, will foster a bond. The purpose of this study was to analyzethe relationship between children's attachment to working mothers and thedevelopment of children's social independence at Al Izzah Kindergarten,Mojokerto. Quantitative research method with correlation research type, andits output is a Book with an ISBN and the Bershinta research journal. Basedon the results of the Pearson correlation test, which shows a correlationcoefficient of 0.537 and a significance level of 0.002 between the bondingattachment variable and social development and independence. Thesignificance value is less than 0.05; therefore, the Ha statement is accepted. The correlation value of 0.537, according to the correlation coefficient valueguidelines, indicates that the level of bonding attachment relationship betweenchildren and working mothers to social development and independence isincluded in the category of strong or high relationships.

Abstract

Cognitive decline is one of the health problems often experienced by the elderly due to the ageing process, which can affect their ability to remember, concentrate, and maintain independence in daily activities. Physical activity plays an important role in maintaining cognitive function by increasing blood flow to the brain, stimulating neuroplasticity, and slowing down the degenerative process. This study aims to analyse the relationship between physical activity and cognitive function in elderly at Anggrek Health Centre in Japan Village, Sooko District, Mojokerto. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational analytical design and a cross-sectional approach. A total of 73 elderly people were sampled using total sampling technique. Physical activity was measured using the Physical Activity Scale for the Elderly (PASE), while cognitive function was assessed using the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). The data were analysed using the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the majority of elderly people were in the active physical activity category (68.5%) and had normal cognitive function (67.1%). There was a significant relationship between physical activity and cognitive function (p = 0.001), where physically active elderly people tended to have better cognitive function. These findings emphasise the importance of encouraging regular physical activity as a promotional and preventive measure to maintain the cognitive health of elderly people at the community level.

Abstract

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) remains a major global health problem and a leading cause of mortality, particularly in low- and middle-income countries where delays in treatment and limited access to reperfusion persist. Early identification of mortality determinants is essential for optimizing management and improving outcomes. This evidence-based review aimed to summarize contemporary predictors of mortality in ACS, incorporating clinical, demographic, laboratory, and hemodynamic factors. A comprehensive search was conducted using PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar for articles published between 2017 and 2025. Eleven studies met the eligibility criteria and were synthesized narratively. The findings show that hemodynamic instability, including hypotension, tachycardia, and cardiogenic shock, is the most consistent predictor of early and in-hospital mortality. Renal impairment, high Killip class, reduced left ventricular ejection fraction, and cardiac arrest at presentation also substantially increase risk. Age and comorbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease contribute to both short- and long-term mortality. System delays, including prolonged symptom-to-door and door-to-balloon times, further worsen outcomes, particularly in resource-limited settings. The Simple Risk Index (SRI) emerges as a practical early risk-stratification tool. Strengthening early recognition, ensuring timely reperfusion, and improving management of comorbidities are crucial steps to reduce ACS-related mortality

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still relatively high, reaching 183 per 100,000 live births based on the national target of the 2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). With 4,150 cases, this figure shows a significant gap from the target set in the 2024 RPJMN. The three main causes of maternal death in Indonesia are gestational hypertension (GHD), hemorrhage, and infection. These three causes are largely preventable with appropriate and prompt medical intervention. Despite improvements in the quality of prenatal care, the incidence of gestational hypertension continues to rise. The exact cause of gestational hypertension remains unknown, and the disease is thought to be multifactorial. Currently, there is no definitive way to prevent gestational hypertension . Research Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the factors causing hypertension in pregnancy and to provide appropriate preventive solutions. The research method used was descriptive research with an observational approach to examine the characteristics of patients with hypertension in pregnancy at Dr. Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Regional General Hospital, Mojokerto City, in 2024-2025. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the analysis results obtained by the Maternal Age variable have a p-value of 0.877 (> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between Maternal Age and the occurrence of Hypertension in Pregnancy, the Parity variable has a p-value of 0.995 (> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between Parity and the occurrence of Hypertension in Pregnancy, the Gestational Age variable has a p-value of 0.998 (> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between Gestational Age and the occurrence of Hypertension in Pregnancy, the Obesity variable has a p-value of 0.998 (> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between Obesity and the occurrence of Hypertension in Pregnancy, the Gestational DM variable has a p-value of 0.988 (> 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is no relationship between Gestational DM and the occurrence of Hypertension in Pregnancy.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the association factors between age, FOUR Score, and ICU  length  of  stay  among  post-craniotomy  patients  treated  at  Sakinah  Hospital.  A cross-sectional study was conducted from 01 October to 12 December 2025 involving adult  post-craniotomy  patients  admitted  consecutively  to  the  ICU.  Eligible participants  were  ≥18  years  old,  intubated  postoperatively,  and  had  a  completed FOUR  Score  assessment.  Fisher’s  Exact  Test  and  relative  risk  (RR)  with  95% confidence intervals (CI) were applied to examine associations between age, FOUR Score, and ICU LOS. A significance level of p < 0.05 was used. 29 patients, 58.6% were aged ≥53 years and 62.1% experienced prolonged ICU stay. A FOUR Score ≤10 was observed in 58.6% of the cohort. Lower FOUR Scores were strongly associated with prolonged ICU stay (p < 0.000; RR = 9.7; 95% CI: 1.4–63.8). Older age also demonstrated a significant association with extended LOS (p = 0.018; RR = 2.47; 95% CI: 1–7.7). Both advanced age and lower FOUR Scores were significant  associated with prolonged ICU stay among post-craniotomy patients. These findings underscore the  utility  of  integrating  neurological  scoring  with  demographic  risk  profiling  to support early prognostication and guide resource allocation in neurosurgical critical care.
