Abstract

This research is aimed at developing active learning tools to improve the effectiveness of the instructional strategy lectures at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of State Institute for Islamic Studies (FITK IAIN) Mataram. The method of this research is research and development (R&D) that was started with the process of needs assessment, the design of prototype of active learning tools that were tested in the next process by meansof expert validation, one to one, small groups, whole class, and effectiveness trials. The result of the trials on the developed product showed that its use had been effectively improved the students contribution during teaching and learning activities if compared to the students contribution in conventional learning process.

Abstract

The research aims to reveal the influence of learning model and learning interest on student’s installation of electric motors achievement. The research was conducted at SMK Dinamika Pembangunan Jakarta. The experiment was conducted using 2x2 factorial designs. The research concludes that: (1) installation of electric motors achievements of students who took part in Quantum Learning are higher than those who partipated in Expository model; (2) There is interaction between learning model and learning interest on student’s installation of electric motors achievement; (3) installation of electric motors achievement of the students having high learning interest and taking part in Expository Learning Model are higher than those participating in Quantum Learning Model; (4) installation of electric motors achievement of the students having low learning interest and taking part in Quantum Learning Model are higher than those participating in Expository Learning Model.

Abstract

This Research aims to know the influence of different methods of instructional and science generic capability as well as its interaction to the students’ learning result in learning chemistry calculations at Aceh Besar. This study used 2x2 factorial design. The results: 1) student learning result on learning chemistry calculations higher by applying the question posing rather than question solving methods, 2) there is an interaction between instructional method and science generic capabilities to student learning outcomes on learning chemistry calculations, 3) there is not different for student learning outcomes who has high ability on science generic by applying the question posing or question solving methods, and 4) student learning outcomes has the lower ability of generic science on higher by applying the method of question posing rather than question solving methods.

Abstract

This aims of this research at improving result of peer teaching using Edmodo by reviewing self-concept. A quasi-experiment with 2x2 factorial design (two- way Anova) was employed in this study. Result of the study shows that (1) Result of peer teaching on groups of students using Edmodo is higher than that of using e-Mail. (2) There is an interaction between learning media and self-concept toward result of peer teaching. (3) Among groups of students having positive self-concept, result of peer teaching on the groups using Edmodo is higher than that of using e-Mail. (4) Among groups of students having negative self-concept, result of peer teaching on the groups using Edmodo is lower than that of using e-Mail.

Abstract

The study examined the effect of computer-assisted instruction and prior knowledge on SMK N 1 Bekasi students’ CNC machine learning outcomes, Eleventh grade. This study adopted a treatment by level 2 x 2 design. There are two types of Computer-Assisted Instruction design; Branching and Linear were used as treatment instruments and a CNC machines learning outcomes-Test was used as test instrument. Analysis of Variance (ANAVA) Two Way was used in analyzing data collection. The study has revealed that, there were significant differences in the learning outcomes-test mean scores of CAI-Branching and CAI-Linear, and the Tukey’s-test revealed a significant difference between CAI-Branching and CAI-Linear on high prior knowledge group. There was no significant difference in the learning outcomes-test mean scores of low prior knowledge groups taught using CAI- Branching and CAI-Linear.

Abstract

This study aims was to determined the effect of instruction strategies and interpersonal intelligences towards learning outcomes of social science, after controlling entry behavior. The participants were 35 students were divided into two treatment classes. This study uses a experimental method with treatment by level 2x2. Data analysis was Analysis of Covariat (ANCOVA). The results showed that: the value Fhitung = 15.27 > Ftable (α = 0.05) (31) = 4.20. Thus concluded that there are differences in outcomes between of students to learn social science taught by Problem Based Learning (A1) with a students who are taught by a Direct Instruction (A2) after controlling entry behavior. The conclusion of this study is the result of learning outcome social science between of students was given a Problem Based Learning was higher than the students who were given Direct Instruction after controlling entry behavior.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of pedagogical competence, professional competence and attitude of teaching profession towards performance assessment of primary school teachers. The population is the primary school teachers who teach advanced classes who hold bachelor degree, possess five year teaching experience and competence certification. The sampling technique is stratified random sampling and get the sampling is 63 primary schools with 71 respondents. The pedagogical and professional competence scores are obtained from the UKG. The attitudes of teaching profession and the performance assessment is measured by instrument which is filled by the teachers and teacher respectively who were respondents in the study. The results show that: (1) there is a direct positive effect of pedagogical competence on teachers’ assessment performance, professional competence, and attitude of teaching profession on the teachers’ assessment performance; (2) there is a direct positive effect of pedagogical competence and professional competence on of the attitude of teaching profession.

Abstract

his study is research and development which aims at developing a computer- based instruction model for the course Introduction to Computer Science. The objective is translated into specific one, namely to get the implementation form of Introduction to Computer Science course that was held at the Department of Electronics Engineering Education an PTIK FT-UNM. In addition, it was also to develop the concepts, the procedures, as well as to find out the results of the development of Computer-Based Instruction (CBI) for effective and efficient Introduction to Computer Science for the Students of Electronics Engineering Education Department, PTIK FT UNM. The results showed that experts’ assessment for the material got 91.79%, a media / programming was 94.52% and design experts was 89.44% in a very good category. Furthermore, the assessment of effectiveness and practicality stated that the product were well-developed, fit to use, and very helpful in learning activities.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to understand comprehensively about the enforceability of parenting program on early childhood education (PAUD) in Mataram pre-schools. The study applies qualitative approach the focuses on evaluation in pre- shool education in Mataram. The data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaire. This Study shows that (1) the background of the parenting program implementation was lack of parents' supports of child education; (2) the implementation of parenting program in pre-shools has fulfilled the requirements laid down in the guideline book; (3) most of pre-school institutions have implemented parenting program in accordance with the technical guideline book; and (4) the majority of parents' understandings of child nutrition, treatment, upbringing, and protection have signivicantly increased upon the implementation of the program.

Abstract

he purpose of this study is the to Mapping the three characteristic of the e- portfolios platform. This research was conducted by the design and development research method by using two methodologies: (1)Tool Use, (2) Model Development. This study collecting various types of platforms specialized to the development e- portfolios and will do a mapping of the function of the platform that has been ellected. To achieve the goal the first year will be used Expert Reviews surveys method The experts will give ratings to the three pieces of E-portfolio Platform installedin www.eportofolio.ac.id, namely Elgg, Moodle and Mahara. Based on these results, the researchers conclude Mahara Platform is the appropriate platform to be used in the learning process. It is supported ratings obtained from the experts.
