Abstract

Most of people Sembalun Lawang Village have subsistence agriculture sector. The government programs to increase productions and to use an-organic fertilizer and chemical pesticide. To given this production input result to make other the soil low fertility. Is this on proved always from the Soil Laboratory, Mataram University.To increase fertility, there is a way to give organic fertilizer and micro-organism on at time activity soil processing. Abstract

Seeding in Fixed Bed anaerobic reactor are infl uenced by several condition such as the growth rate total population of microbial, bacterial adaption to infl uent and the retention of biomass in reactor. The aim of this observation is to fi nd out the seeding and acclimation process in anaerobic process by using plastic as support material. Seeding and acclimatization process run smoothly can be seen from the increasing of infl uent or substrate and following by the increasing degradation of soluble COD, beside that the decreasing of VSS concentration indicates that microorganism are all ready fi x in support material, therefore reactor can be operated continuously and the acclimatization process can be stopped.Keywords : anaerobic seeding, acclimation anaerobic process

Abstract

Proses pembakaran sampah kota melalui insinerator akan menghasilkan uap panas yang bisa dimanfaatkan  untuk membangkitkan energi listrik, akan tetapi pada proses ini juga menghasilkan output berupa flue gas yang didominasi oleh partikel (fly ash) dan gas beracun seperti: HCl, SO2, NOx, HF, Hg, Cd dan Dioxin. Sebelum dibuang ke udara bebas, flue gas tersebut harus diolah agar memenuhi baku mutu lingkungan. Teknologi penanganan partikel dan gas polutan tersedia dan dapat dibuat dengan berbagai kapasitas. Untuk menangani flue gas dari insinerator sampah digunakan Quencher untuk menekan laju pembentukan kembali dioksin dan furan setelah proses pembakaran,  Spray Drying Absorption (SDA) untuk mengikat gas asam dan  logam berat serta bag filter untuk menangkap partikel. Selain itu digunakan ID Fan dan Cerobong Asap untuk pengatasi pressure drop yang terjadi akibat pengoperasian peralatan APC dan melepas ke udara.

Abstract

Environment degradation in Rawa Pening?s lake is caused of descend lake?s functions for some potentions and activities around the lake. Some problems in the Rawa Pening?s lake has emerged i.e : decrease water quality of lake, abundance of water hyacinth growth and increase sediment in the bottom lake. A research about infl uences of land ecosystem on Panjang and Galeh river corridors for Rawa Pening?s lake has been done. Two rivers named Galeh and Panjang are the largest water contribution in Rawa Pening?s lake. That caused the land characteristic ecosystem of that river corridors gives infl uences in the Rawa Pening?s lake.Key words: land ecosystem, river corridor, water contribution, Rawa Pening Lake.

Abstract

Singkarak Lake located in Solok Regency and Tanah Datar Regency potentially for tourism and fi-shery sector because of its scenic view and bilih fi sh specialization. That sector cohesiveness creates a fi shery agro tourism practices. However dilemmas shows, such as overlapping of tourism interest with bilih fi sh conservation. Objective of this study are learn about potential and conservation efforts for bilih fish and analysis its relevancy with tourism aspect, so it will gain a modeling concept of Developing Area of Bilih Fish Agro tourism (?Kembang Aibil?) in particular Singkarak Lake area. A proposal concept is agro tourism landscape arrangement with zoning system. Zoning objectiveis to accommodate tourism interest with bilih conservation through separated area based on visitor activi-ties. Singkarak lake as unique and interesting recreation place for tourists because its bilih fi sh exis-tence. Singkarak lake zoning divide into three zones: (1)Recreation zone is singkarak quay area, (b) buffer zone is Singkarak Lake Public Fishery Water Unit (UPPU), and (c) Conservation zone is Bilih Fishery Preservation in Sumpur and Paninggahan River in Sumpur village, South Batipuh Sub district, Tanah Datar regency and Bilih Conservation Centre in Nagari Guguak Malalo.Key words : Tourism, Fishery Agro Tourism and Bilih Fish

Abstract

Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan setiap orang, kebutuhan ini terus meningkat dari waktu ke waktu. Adanya keterbatasan pemerintah untuk mengolah air menjadi kendala masyarakat untuk memiliki akses dalam mendapatkan air bersih. Keberadaan sungai sebagai salah satu sumber air telah tercemar oleh limbah  rumah tangga dan polutan lainnya menjadikan air sungai tidak lagi dapat memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu untuk mendapatkan air bersih yang memenuhi baku mutu air bersih diperlukan teknologi yang tepat. Salah satu teknologi yang di butuhkan dalam perencanaan unit pengolah air yang sesuai dan efisien untuk mengolah menjadi air bersih yaitu dengan menggunakan membran ultrafiltrasi. Dalam desain ini akan direncanakan pengolahan air bersih dengan kapasitas 50 m3/hari. kata kunci : Ultrafiltrasi, Desain, Air bersih

Abstract

Mitigation and adaptation are two approaches for taking policy action to address climate change impacts. Mitigation activities seek to reduce the sources or enhance the sinks of greenhouse gases, most notably carbon dioxide (CO2), and adaptation is to adjust human systems in response to actual or expected climatic stimuli or their effects. One signifance difference between mitigation and adaptation approach is emission reduction expressed in CO2-equivalent units. Emission reductions through mitigation activities can be easily measured. Green building is one of mitigation activities and this paper is to analyze policy impacts through green building approach in CO2 reduction equivalent units.keywords : green building, mitigation, climate change

Abstract

Embung as a man made water reservoir is one of methods to overcome the water shortage in the border area, Belu District, East Nusa Tenggara Province. A number of 27 embungs were built by Regional Government in this area. Embung water and environment management is the main problem to sustain water resource. The research to inventory and identify of vegetation, to predict erosion, to monitor water balance, and to optimize water utilization were conducted, in 2005-2008. The research was undertaken in Embung Leosama. Methods were survey, observation, monitoring and analysis. Results were: (1). There were 7 species and 90 individual number of tree; (2). Prediction of erosion was 97.383 ton/ha/year; (3). Water depth as indicator of embung water balance was decrease due to a little rainfall volume in rainy season 2006/2007; but it was increase in 2007/2008; (4). Embung water can be optimized for drinking cattle, horticulture, nursery and regreening irrigation.Key Words: embung, erosion, water balance.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to calculate river water potency and irrigation need in West Java and Banten, and evaluate its water balance. Calculation of river water potency is based on river discharge data in each river basins, whereas calculation of water need for agriculture is based on area width and irrigation need. The result of the research shows that the highest river water potency in West Java is in Cisadane-Ciliwung River Basins about 3119.81 million m3/year. The lowest river water potency is in downstream Citarum River Basin about 383.55 million m3/year. In Banten, the highest river water potency is in Cisadeg-Cikuningan River Basins about 4476.32 million m3/year, whereas thelowest is in Labuhan Merak River Basin about 596.33 million m3/year. According to water balance evaluation, the water balance of two provinces are also variative. In West Java, Upstream Citarum River Basin and Downstream Citarum River Basin almost get water defi cit in along year. In Banten, water defi cit in river basins just happen in several month. Base on water surplus, there are no river basin in West Java that get water surplus along year. In Banten, Ciujung River Basin get water surplus along year.Key words : river water, irrigation, river basin
