Abstract

The contamination of fungi is an important problem which must be known and controled. Mycelia sterile is one of contaminated fungi which is seldom known and must be studied. Different morphology, reproduction and physiology of this fungi is important to study because of the strategy for its control. The aim of this research is to study mycelium sterile and the procedure for its controll. The observation was conducted on fungi suspected included mycelia sterile for 3 years at IRCVS Mycology laboratory. Isolation, identification and re inoculation in agar medium wasconducted on suspected fungi as mycelia sterile. The results show that 10 fungi are mycelia sterile. From this research result, it can concluded that mycelium sterile is a contaminating fungi and it is assumed that it can be controlled.Keywords: Mycelia sterile, contamination, control.

Abstract

Basically, nature has the ability to perform the restoration of environmental damage caused by increased human activity, but because of the limited carrying capacity, then the environment has decreased the quality from year to year. In saving the environment, technology plays a role in reducing the risk of pollution, increased efi siensi process, and creating processes and environmentall friendly products, monitoring and prediction of environment quality, environmental pollution control, restoration and environmental improvement. Waste Technology (end of pipe technology) are widely used to cope with environmental pollution, both for liquid waste, solid and air. Waste processing technology developed for the waste can be in accordance with quality standards thathave been established, while monitoring technology has been developed either manually or automatically. Abstract

Abstrak Kebutuhan penduduk akan air bersih terutama untuk minum dan masak sangat tinggi, ini sejalan dengan pesatnya pertumbuhan penduduk di perkotaan. Permasalahan yang ada saat ini adalah kondisi kualitas dan kuantitas air bersih sangatlah terbatas. Salah satu pemenuhan kebutuhan akan air minum penduduk perkotaan adalah dengan mengkonsumsi air minum dalam kemasan dan air minum isi ulang. Untuk membantu masyarakat Sumbawa dalam pemenuhan sebagian kebutuhan air minum, PTL, BPPT telah membangun instalasi pengolahan air siap minum (ARSINUM) di SMK Al-Kahfi, Sumbawa. Peralatan pengolah air siap minum yang dibangun mempunyai kapasitas 10.000 liter per hari dan selain digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air minum asrama siswa juga untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air minum masyarakat sekitarnya. Untuk keberlangsungan unit ARSINUM tersebut, dibutuhkan pengelola yang dapat merawat dan mengoperasikan unit dengan baik dan memasarkan air minum hasil produksi kemasyarakat luas. Metodologi yang digunakan pada implementasi teknologi pengolahan ARSINUM adalah pengumpulan informasi, survei dan interview, observasi serta analisis SWOT. Evaluasi hasil implementasi alat pengolah ARSINUM menunjukkan bahwa diperlukan strategi pemasaran yang baik yang didukung oleh keunggulan-keunggulan unit ARSINUM, dan diperlukan sistem transportasi yang baik pula untuk mendistribusikan galon isi ARSINUM ke masyarakat. Kalau transportasi tidak direncanakan dengan baik, maka hal ini akan meningkatkan harga jual air minum. Kata kunci: teknologi pengolahan air siap minum, usaha galon air minum,  engelola arsinum.

Abstract

Until the end of 2007, nutmeg flesh had been disposed as a waste because it is not harnessed into a valuable product in nutmeg producer area on the island of Ambon and Banda in Maluku. Diversification treatment from nutmeg flesh waste into syrup can provide economical value to the product, and health benefits to those who consume it. Manufacturing process done by using simple apparatus starts from extracting nutmeg liquid, sterilizing nutmeg syrup container, mixing with sugar, bottling, labeling to produce salable nutmeg syrup. The 1:1 ratio of nutmeg liquid to sugar gives good taste and preferred. Extracted flesh waste has been utilized as nutmeg flesh cake by mixing sugar in ratio of 1:1, battering evenly and drying in the sun or a heating oven at temperature of 50 oC to produce tasty nutmeg cake with economical value-added.keywords : nutmeg flesh waste, nutmeg syrup, old nutmeg.

Abstract

Regional outonomy that is meant as right, authority and obligatory of the district (kabupaten/kota) to regulateand manage their own governance and community?s interests gave pressure impacts to the environmentalsustainability since its implementation in 2001. The spirit to utilize natural resources from the districtarea tend to explore the environment irresponsibly which resulted in degradation of the environmentalsustainability. The district policies had often not been assessed in detail before implementation especiallytheir impacts to the environment. Abstract

Office waste is produced from activity that carried in the office area. In Geostech office area, 18.05 % composition of the waste is plastic waste. Plastic waste total in Geostech is 17.1 kg/week. The highest of plastic waste type is PP (Polypropylene). plastic waste. From the waste total is known that that the potential of oil produced through pyrolysis is 11.6 kg/week or 13.7 L/week. Pirolysis oil can be used as substitute for diesel fuel because of the calorific value equal with the calorific value of diesel fuel. Besides oil, pirolysis of Geostech office plastic waste is also potential to give 5.45 kg/week gas product.Key words : waste, office, pirolysis, oil

Abstract

At this time global warming became an environmental issue that most often discussed. At the same time, as a trigger of green house gasses business, the issue of carbon trading business became an interesting discussion, because it has an impact to improve the feasibility of the project. This paper discussed the causes of global warming, the mechanism of global warming and the efforts to reduce green house gasses using Clean Development Mechanism. In addition, carbon price fl uctuation and the procedures of carbon trading are described also. Abstract

Fluazinam adalah suatu fungisida berbasis piridin yang diduga merupakan endocrine disrupture chemical (EDC). Pada pemanfaatannya, Fluazinam berpotensi menurunkan kesehatan dan mutu tanah (soil health) melalui perubahan level dan aktivitas ATP dalam tanah. Kandungan ATP tanah telah diketahui berhubungan erat dengan aktivitas jasad renik tanah sehingga kandungan ATP tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai indikator proses biokimia tanah serta ukuran biomassa aktif dalam tanah. Untuk mengkaji potensi dampak dari penggunaan fluazinam terhadap level ATP tanah dilakukan percobaan di laboratorium. Fluazinam dengan kepekatan 3000 mg/kg dicampurkan kepada tanah kemudian dikeringkan di udara terbuka. Selanjutnya pada akhir inkubasi selama 1-, 3-, 7-, dan 14-hari level ATP diidentifikasi. Level ATP ditetapkan dengan cara mengukur intensitas pendarfluor yang diemisikan oleh oxyluciferin pada kisaran panjang gelombang 550 ? 570 nm menggunakan Luminometer (OPTOCOMP1 MGM USA). Penurunan secara konsisten kandungan ATP tanah selama dua minggu periode inkubasi memperlihatkan, dari 0.100 ± 0.006 menjadi 0.043 ± 0.009 nmol/g tanah. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa fluazinam mengganggu serta menurunkan kesehatan dan mutu tanah sehingga untuk memulihkan kualitas tanah yang terkena dampak fluazinam perlu dilakukan teknik dan prosedur aplikasi yang terkendali berdasarkan Best Management Practices (BMP).kata kunci: xenobiotics, fluazinam, ATP tanah, bioindikator, kesehatan tanah

Abstract

 Sejak tahun 2000 an industri pertambangan batubara khususnya di Kalimantan semakin marak, hal ini membawa dampak yang sangat merugikan bagi lingkungan. Kini ribuan lubang bekas tambang dibiarkan tanpa pengelolaan dan tidak dimanfaatkan oleh penduduk sekitarnya. Lubang bekas penambangan yang ditinggalkan pada akhir kegiatan tambang tanpa adanya perencanaan pemanfaatan berpotensi menimbulkan dampak yang tidak diinginkan bagi lingkungan dan masyarakat sekitarnya. Dua lubang tambang bekas tambang sejak tahun 2010 sampai saat ini belum dimanfaatkan baik oleh perusahaan maupun masyarakat di sekitarnya. Untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat tentang keberadaan lubang bekas tambang maka telah dilakukan survei ke beberapa penduduk di sekitar lubang bekas tambang tersebut. Hasil survey menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat sebagian besar setuju dengan rencana pemanfaatan lubang bekas tambang sebagai reservoir sumber air khususnya sebagai air bersih. Sebagian kecil masyarakat mempunyai pemikiran selain sebagai sumber air yaitu sebagai obyek wisata, tambak ikan nila, tempat pemancingan ikan dan untuk pengairan  sawah dan ladang.  Hasil survey ini akan menjadi dasar pertimbangan dalam merencanakan bentuk pemanfaatan dari void tersebut.  Kata kunci :lubang bekas tambang, persepsi masyarakat, reservoir sumber air.

Abstract

Nutrient Block is a growing medium product in the form of a square (25 x 25 cm) or cylindrical (diameter = 20 cm, height = 25 cm) made of peat which has been composted, plus adhesive gypsum or tapioca waste. Nutrient Block is designed to support the post mining land rehabilitation program that is now threatening the environmental degradation in mining areas. Nutrient Block products has been proved good for growth because of the media in addition to having physical properties that are capable of storing large amounts of water, contain enough nutrients in the form available to plants,so it can support plant growth. Results of the Nutrient Block application test to Jabon (Anthocephalus cadaba) and Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) plants showed that good performance, both plant height and diameter of trees and leaf growth in plants Jabon appear healthy and getting wider.keywords: nutrient block, post-mining land rehabilitation.
