Abstract

The interest accrued.from cap.ital invested by investors in East Java is bigger compared to other areas in Indonesia. According to our research, several reasons exist that make investors choose East Java as their preferred investment destination. One of which is the availability of infrastructure projects that are of international standards and other supporting facilities such as ports, industrial zones, and airports as well as the integrated one-stop service in terms of acquiring licenses for investment.

Abstract

Universities and industry have engaged in a variety of productive relationships that have provided benefit to universities through expanded research and consultancy projects, curriculum development, job opportunities for undergraduate students, and additional revenue that can support the academic mission. Industry, on the other hand, has benefited through specialized education programs, the ability to work with faculty with expertise in a specialized field of research, and access to innovative ideas that can enhance product development and improve corporate strategy. The author illustrates this by presenting a case study of the University of Asia & the Pacific (UA & P),a university in Manila,Philippine which has successfully promoted a symbiotic synergy between their institution and the Philippine business community.

Abstract

Power within an organization is something which subunits of the same level want to obtain. The sources of a subunit's power include its ability in coping with uncertainty, substitutability, centrality, and value congruence with top management. To acquire and use power, a subunit takes into account the organizational politics concept.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a form of large-scale industrial responsibility for the conduct of cultural adaptation with social environment. CSR is a program, which includes various forms of activities that may be a solution for social problems which include the creation of employment opportunities , health, education, economy and environment. The purpose of this study was to Know and analyze the effect of the implementation of the CSR program conducted on the performance of major retail marketing, financial performance and endurance of the SME business. A number of 149 SMEs suppliers of large scale retail respondents.

Abstract

The study was aimed at knowing how the influence of the implementation of job description and the work of the job specification on the work effectiveness as the company's asset. To collect the data, survey was used. The data were collected by asking respondents to fill the questionnaire. The respondents were chosen by using simple random sampling.

Abstract

ASEAN-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA), which took effect since January 1, 2010 cannot directly stimulate corporate creativity and productivity. Efforts can be made related to the human resource conditions in Indonesia to increase the capacity and capability of the workforce. This can be achieved through the company's ability to manage knowledge (Knowledge Management) owned by individuals and make it as a corporate culture. Knowledge Management which has been embedded in the corporate culture is a good quality solution for organizations (companies) to compete in the market.

Abstract

Although difficult to measure, job related stress and burnout is important to be studied and researched on as it may cause not only negative outcomes in individuals such as depression, guilt, exhaustion or fatigue, and loss of motivation, but also negative outcomes for organizations such as increasing absenteeism and turnover, and declining productivity.
