Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of Islamic education during the Umayyad Dynasty and the factors contributing to its progress. A qualitative method with a literature review approach and documentation techniques was used to collect data from various written sources. The results indicate that Islamic education advanced significantly through a decentralized system, allowing its spread across different territories. Additionally, education encompassed not only religious teachings but also general knowledge. Various institutions, such as kuttab, mosques, literary assemblies, and palaces, played a role in education, employing lecture and demonstration methods.

Abstract

Latea Cave I and II cultural heritage sites are burial sites using wooden coffins in Tentena, Poso, and Central Sulawesi. The cave is a tourist destination for foreign and local tourists. Latea Caves I and II have more skull and yumu finds than any other site around Tentena. Thus, this research was carried out by observing tourist behaviour and the conditions of the surrounding environment. The results of the observations showed that factors that could damage the behaviour of tourists were rodents, such as rats, as well as humid environmental conditions. So the solution that can be given is to improve the performance of custodians as well as tour guides by adding facilities such as rubbish bins and monitoring the conservation that has been carried out. To get rid of rodents, you can do it in various ways, including by installing rat traps periodically.

Abstract

The EDSA Revolution, or People Power Revolution, that took place in the Philippines in 1986 is one of the most important examples of a people’s movement that successfully overthrew an authoritarian regime without violence. The movement emerged in response to the two-decade-long dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos. Driven by electoral fraud, socio-economic discontent, and political repression, millions of Filipinos joined the peaceful protests that ultimately ended Marcos’ rule. This paper will discuss the political, economic, and social background that sparked the revolution, the chronology of events, the role of civil society and the Catholic Church, and the long-term impact of the EDSA Revolution on the Philippines and similar movements around the world.

Abstract

The Kudatuli incident (Kudapangan Date Lima) in 1996 was a critical moment in indonesian political history during the New Order era which marked the escalation of conflict between government forces and the pro-democracy movement. This research aims to analyze the people's movements and political dynamics that occurred around this event, as well as their implications for the political stability of society. Using critical historical research methods with a qualitative approach, this research examines historical documents, media reports and in-depth interviews with historical witnesses. The research results show that Kudatuli reflects the accumulation of tension between the political opposition and the government, with the people's movement as an expression of resistance to authoritarianism
