Abstract

This research is interesting to see the suitability of the High School Chemistry learning process, namely on the topic of Basic Chemical Law and Stoichiometry with the resolution of the 2013 Core Competency and Basic Competency Competency formulas. The method used in this study is library research with supported data search techniques. After the data is collected, the content analysis is carried out. The results of this study consisted of three components, namely: the completeness of the material obtained as much as 60% (3 = quite complete), the component of excess material obtained 60% (3 = quite extensive), and the material component obtained was 87% (5 = very deep). Based on these results, an average yield of 69% was obtained. This means that the suitability of the material on the topic of Basic Chemistry and Stoichiometry with Core Competencies and Basic Competencies is 69% with a category sufficient to fit the value 3. Based on these results, the Basic Chemical and Stoichiometry material can be listed in the High School Chemistry published by the Curriculum The Ministry of Education and Culture 2013 is in accordance with the formulation of the 2013 Core Competencies and Basic Competencies.

Abstract

Environmental pollution by heavy metals can cause toxic hazards to humans. Heavy metals in the human body usually accumulate in several organs such as kidneys, liver, nails, adipose tissue, and hair. Heavy metals last longer in hair, so analysis of heavy metals through hair is more accurate. This study aims to determine the differences in copper (Cu) levels in hairs of various workers based on age, profession and long exposure to the environment using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). the highest Cu content obtained is 1.8252 mg/L in children aged 12 years. from the results obtained, the older the age of a person the less Cu content in his hair.

Abstract

Bromelin merupakan salah satu jenis enzim protease yang mampu menghidrolisis ikatan peptida pada protein atau polipeptida menjadimolekul yang lebih kecil yaitu asam amino.enzim bromelin yaitu enzim prebiotik yang terdapat pada tanaman nana (Annas Comosus L).   Telah dilakukan isolasi dan ekstaksi enzim bromelin dari buah nanas. Dalam praktikum ini bromelin di isolasi dengan metoda ekstraksi dan di uji lowry terhadap enzim bromelin (protease) menggunakan spektrofotometer. Hasil masing-masing spektrofotometri yaitu pada 0 = 0.261, 5= 0.254, 15= 0.250, 25= 0.244. dapat dilihat semakin tinggi enzim bromelin yang di tambahkan maka semakin sedikit protein yang di dapatkan.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a guided inquiry based student worksheet (LKPD) on electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions, also to determine its validity of contents and constructs of the LKPD. This research used educational design research (EDR) type, which is a research that will develop and produce a certain product. The instrument used is a validation sheet. The data from the validation sheet were analyzed by cohen cappa formula. the average kappa moment of the five validators in the content validity was 0.82 with a very high level of validity and the average kappa moment of the five validators in the content validity was 0.88 with a very high validity level. The data obtained show that the guided inquiry based student worksheet on electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions are valid of component contents and construct components.

Abstract

The research for the solubility of red and blue pigments in microemulsion water in oil system, Triton X-100 and Cyclohexane has been done. The purpose of this research is preparation of gels from the  microemulsion water in oil and determine the solubility of red and blue inorganic pigment in gel from water in oil system, Triton X-100 and cyclohexane. The preparation of gel have done by the sol-gel method. Sol-gel is a process of forming inorganic compounds through chemical reactions in solutions at low temperatures. The formation of a gel from the water in oil microemulsion is carried out with the addition of the Tetra ethyl orto silicate and ethanol. The amount of the Tetra Ethyl ortho is added that is 1:8 comparison of  mol to the amount of water in the microemulsion water in oil. Tetra Etylortho is subjected to hydrolysis with water forming gel. While ethanol serves as a TEOS organic solvent in the formation of gels. The result of  gels are semi-solid and have the ability to dissolve inorganic pigments larger than microemulsions. The average solubility of red pigment on the gel water system, triton X-100, and cyclohexane is 3.98 mg/g while the microemulsion is 1,67 mg/g, and black pigment solubility is 3,75 mg/g while the microemulsion is 1,175 mg/g.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of content validity and construct validity of guided inquiry-based worksheet (LKPD) based on chemical equilibrium material to train students' critical thinking skills. This research is Research and Development (R & D) research. The study was conducted at SMAN 1 PADANG. The data taken is the data from the test results of content validity and construct validity by the validator. The instruments used are questionnaires filled by lecturers and teachers. The data of this study will be analyzed using kappa moments. The results of the analysis show that it is judged by the content quality, presentation, language, and graphics, respectively 0.834, 0.853, 0.885, 0.895. In accordance with the results of the validity analysis, the LKPD is categorized as very valid. The guided inquiry LKPD on chemical equilibrium material to train students' critical thinking skills is deemed feasible based on their validity. The result of the practicality is 0,85 , indicating that the LKPD is vey pratical.

Abstract

The research was backed by the many problems that arise due to changes in the curriculum from KTSP to Curriculum 2013, especially the problems felt by the teacher. These problems cause the implementation of the curriculum 2013 to be difficult to realize. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results of this study indicate that the problems perceived by the teacher lie in; (1) difficulties in making lesson plans because the teacher does not understand in writing the indicators of each of the basic competencies (KD). (2) the teacher still has not applied student-centered learning. (3) the inability of the domain of skills at KD-4. (4) the teacher feels overwhelmed in making an assessment. In order for this problem to be resolved, it is expected to be; (1) the implementation of 2013 Curriculum training. (2) simplification of the 2013 Curriculum assessment assessment, (3) the addition of facilities and infrastructure so that the implementation of basic competencies in the realm of skills can be carried out.

Abstract

The research aims to analyzing the feasibility textbook of chemistry in curriculum 2013. The research used descriptive methods with qualitative approach. The techniques to collect the data were library study with reading and analyze the whole data. The data resource was text book of Chemistry Based on Student Experiments for Class X SMA/MA Specialization in Mathematics and Natural Sciences Specialization Group on Electrolyte and Non Electrolyte Solution Materials published by the Ministry of Education and Culture.The results of the researchers show that chemistry book class X in terms of Conformity of material description with KI and KD, breadth and depth of material, material accuracy, and learning support material is said to be worthy. The material presented supports the achievement of KI and KD. The material presented in this chapter is very complete. The concepts and definitions of material in textbooks are also presented accurately to avoid misconceptions and in accordance with technological developments.

Abstract

The reduction oxidation reaction material is abstract. abstract material learning can be done by displaying three levels of chemical representation, namely macroscopic, sub-microscopic and symbolic. One of the learning media that can display three levels of chemical refresher is powerpoint. In powerpoint media a learning model can be applied that can guide students actively in finding and finding concepts. Guided inquiry is a learning model that fits the demands of the 2013 curriculum and is able to guide students actively in finding concepts. The type of research used to obtain products is research and development (R & D) with 4-D models. The instrument of this research was in the form of a validity test and practicality questionnaire. The media developed was validated by 5 validators, namely 3 chemistry lecturers and 2 chemistry teachers. The practicality test questionnaire was filled by 2 chemistry teachers and 25 students of grade X science at SMAN 1 Sungai Aur. the results of the validity and practicality tests were analyzed using the Cohen Kappa formula. From the results of the validity test data analysis, the average kappa moment was 0.87 with a very high validity category. From the results of the practicality test data analysis on the teacher, the average kappa moment was 0.97 and the students were 0.94 with a very high practicality category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry-based interactive powerpoint learning media on the developed oxidation reduction material is valid and practical.

Abstract

Buku teks merupakan sumber pembelajaran utama untuk mencapai kompetensi inti dan kompetensi dasar sehingga buku teks pelajaran harus disusun dengan benar mengacu pada Kurikulum. Sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis buku teks pelajaran kimia untuk siswa kelas XI SMA yang diterbitkan oleh Kemendikbud pada bab ?Termokimia?. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa, secara umum buku teks pelajaran tersebut sudah sesuai dengan kurikulum. Hasil temuan yaitu: 1) kesesuaian terhadap KI; 2) dari segi kelengkapan materi ada beberapa submateri yang belum dijelaskan; 3) urutan penyajian materi pelajaran umumnya sudah runtut
