Abstract

The study aimed to determine the differences in cognitive learning result of biology students using inquiry and group investigation on the concept of biodevisersity. The research was comparative descriptive with one group pretest-postest design. Learning data collection techniques using pretest and posttest form and data were analyzed using independent t test. The result showed that there were differences in the biology students of learning result who use models of inquiry and group investigation and based on n-gain analysis know that inquiry learning model gives better results than group investigation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the difference of student’s achievement cognitive, affective, and psychomotor on natural science subject between cooperative learning model with kancing gemerincing type and time token type. Which one’s better, the student’s cognitive, affective, and psychomotor on environment pollution   concept between cooperative learning model with kancing gemerincing type and time token type. This research used pre experimental design method, which is the population is all of the seventh  grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Tasikmalaya. Sample total entire 2 class that is class VIIA and VIID with each student as much 35 person. Measurement uses post test. Analysis technique that used t-independent on level of significant α = 0,05. The result shows that found the difference of student’s achievement cognitive, affective, and psychomotor on environment pollution concept between cooperative learning model with kancing gemerincing type and time token type. Based on the result in above it can be said student’s achievement cognitive, and psychomotor by using kancing gemerincing type model was better than time token type model on environment pollution concept. Beside that student’s achievement affective by using time token type model was better than kancing gemerincing type model on environment pollution concept.

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the differences between result study and critical thinking ability of biology students employing deductive and inductive learning approaches based on the ecosystem concept. This study uses comparative research, particularly posttest control group design. Besides, the population of this study the entire Second Semester Students of Biology Education Department, Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teachers’ Training, Siliwangi University.Moreover, the sample of this study is two classes taken randomly by utilizing cluster random sampling with a total of 67students. In addition, technique of collecting the data was conducted by the posttest to the students in order to obtain the data about students’ final learning outcomes and applying rubric for the sake of identifying the students’ critical thinking abilities. Likewise, T-Test (the test using to compare the differences of two scores average) with (α) = 5% as the significant level was used. The result of the data analysis and hypothesis testing, the results showed that (1)There was a significant learning outcome of Biology students employing deductive and inductive learning approaches. (2) there was a significant level of biology students’ creative thinking ability applying deductive and inductive learning. As a result, deductive learning approach plausibly yielded better learning outcomes and Inductive learning approach obviously influenced the students’ critical thinking abilities.Key Words: Inductive learning approach, deductive learning approach, result study and critical thinking ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh multi media pembelajaran interkatif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik pada subkonsep dampak kerusakan lingkungan di kelas VII MTs Negeri Cikatomas.Metode penelitian ini adalah metode true-eksperiment yang menggunakan rancangan Pottest-Only Control Design dengan populasi seluruh kelas VII MTs Negeri Cikatomas dengan sampel sebanyak 2 kelas yang diambil secara cluster random sampling yaitu kelas VIIE  sebanyak 39 orang dan kelas VIIB sebanyak 39 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan posttest untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar kognitif siswa dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikan (α) = 5%.Berdasarkan analisis data dan pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh multimedia pembelajaran interaktif terhadap hasil belajar kognitif karena nilai sig. hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik 0.790 yang berarti HO ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif memebrikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada subkonsep dampak kerusakan lingkungan di kelas VII MTs Negeri Cikatomas.multimedia pembelajaran interaktif, hasil belajar kognitif, dan dampak kerusakan lingkungan

Abstract

Abstract: The aimed of this research was to know the influence of problem basedlearning model to creative thinking skills on environmental pollution material in Xgrade of SMA Negeri 1 Cihaurbeuti at 2015/2016 academic year.This research was conducted from November 2015 until March 2016 in X grade ofSMA Negeri 1 Cihaurbeuti. The method used in this research was true experiment.The population of this research was all class of X grade at SMA Negeri 1Cihaurbeuti as much as 4 classes which consist of 144 student. The sample used in the research which taken by cluster random sampling technique as much as two class, X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and X MIPA 2 as the control class. To measure the creative thingking skills, used an instrument that is a test of the creative thingking skills which consists of 11 questions in the form of essay. Analysis using t test with significance level α = 0,05. The result of the research shows there was influence of problem based learning model to creative thinking skills on environmental pollution material (an experimental study in X grade of SMA Negeri 1 Cihaurbeuti academic year 2015/2016).Keywords: problem based learning model, creative thinking skills and environmental pollution

Abstract

The study on the implementation of visuospatial teaching models (VS-Model) for the enhancement of cognitive ability of prospective teacher on plant anatomy concept has been done descriptively. VS model is a model of learning to involve the ability of three-dimensional (3D). The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of VS-Model on improving cognitive ability of prospective biology teacher on plant anatomy concept. Participants of the study were 108 fourth semester biology education students attending Plant Anatomy Course in academic year of 2011 of Siliwangi University of Tasikmalaya, West Java. All participants were divided into three different class. Each class implemented three different type of VS-Model, e.g. Inductive Playdoch (IP), Inductive Images (IG), and Deductive Images (DG). Measurement of cognitive abilities C1, C2 and C3 was done by a written test, 32 items, the ability of analize (C4) used the assessment of 2D images, the ability of evaluate (C5) was done by observation of students' ability to evaluate students during a presentation in class and ability of create (C6) measured from the assessment of 3D images and 3D play doh.The results showed that the VS- model can improve the cognitive abilities of students. VS model with Inductive -Picture (IG) can improve understand (C2), whereas Deductive-Picture (DG) was able to develop the ability apply (C3). All three treatments could not be analyzed (C4) microscopic observation well. However, the ability to remember (C1), evaluate (C5) and create (C6) of 3D was very well developed in Inductive-Play doh (IP).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat keterampilan metakognitif dan kesadaran metakognitif mahasiswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran project based learning berbasis praktikum pada materi bioteknologi konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 50 orang mahasiswa calon guru biologi. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil postes keterampilan metakognitif dan kesadaran metakognitif.Keterampilan metakognitif dinilai melalui tes uraian, kesadaran metakognitif diukur menggunakan daftar inventori kesadaran metakognitif. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan independent t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat keterampilan metakognitif dan kesadaran metakognitif kelas eksperimen rata-rata termasuk ke dalam kategori baik dan berbeda signifikan dengan kelas kontrol. Menurut mahasiswa pembelajaran project based learning berbasis praktikum menarik, dan bermanfaat untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir dan meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam merencanakan, memantau, mengevaluasi percobaan dan membuat laporan.

Abstract

This study attempts to (1) knows the difference liveliness student learning state of the cooperative learning model type numbered heads together   (NHT) with model cooperative learning type teams game tournament (TGT). (2) know the difference of the results learn cognitive students state of the learning model cooperative type numbered heads together (NHT) with model cooperative learning type teams game tournament (TGT). This research uses the method quasi eksperiment. Design research is post test group desaind. Based on the research done, (1) there is a difference liveliness student learning between use the model cooperative learning type numbered heads together (NHT) apply in the class X-2 and model cooperative learning type teams game tournament (TGT) apply in the class x-6 the concept ethics environment. It is based on the results of observation which showed that the average score class x-2 obtain the average 11,74 more better than class x-6 received an average of 22,98.cooperative learning model numbered heads together, teams game tournament, results cognitive study, liveliness learning
