Abstract

Hypertension is high blood pressure where the systolic blood pressure is 140 mmHg or the diastolic blood pressure is 90 mmHg. This study aims to determine the factors associated with medication adherence in elderly hypertensive patients at the Tanjung Sakti Pumi Health Center in 2023. The design of this study was a quantitative cross-sectional approach. The population in this study is all patient visits at the Tanjung Sakti Pumi Health Center in 2022, namely 1166 respondents. Sampling using slovin theory. The sample in this study amounted to 92 people. How to take samples using purposive sampling. This research was carried out from 18 May 2023 to 29 May 2023. Data collection used a questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between age (p value 0.001), knowledge (p value 0.032), family support (p value 0.0370 with medication adherence in elderly hypertensive patients at the Tanjung Sakti Pumi Health Center in 2023. There was no gender relationship (p value 1.00), history of hypertension (p value 0.63) and history of comorbidities with adherence to taking medication in elderly hypertensive patients at the Tanjung Sakti Pumi Health Center in 2023.There is a need for efforts to increase knowledge as well as conduct education, outreach and strengthen the elderly Posyandu in the Puskesmas area.

Abstract

Antenatal Care (ANC) is a health service for pregnant women in the months and weeks before birth which aims to develop pregnant women and their fetuses. This study aims to determine the factors of age, parity, occupation, knowledge, attitudes and family support related to Antenatal Care (ANC) visits at the Mariana Health Center in 2023,. The research design is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study is pregnant women seeking treatment at Mariana in 2022, which is 16354 respondents. Sampling using slovin theory. The sample in this study amounted to 99 people. How to take samples using purposive sampling. Data collection for this research was carried out from June 05 2023 to June 19 2023. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that there was a relationship between parity (p value 0.035), knowledge (p value 0.022), family support (p value 0.011) and Antenatal Care (ANC) visits at the Mariana Health Center in 2023. There was no relationship between age (p value 0.801), occupation (p value 0.423) and attitudes (p value 0.190) with Antenatal Care (ANC) visits at the Mariana Health Center in 2023. There is a need for efforts to increase knowledge and motivation for family participation in antenatal care visits.

Abstract

Packed Red Cell (PRC) is made from whole blood by separating red blood cells from plasma using high speed centrifugation. Good PRC storage is at a shelf life of 35 days with a temperature of 2-6°C and must be maintained properly to ensure the morphological quality of erythrocytes. This study aims to determine the morphology of erythrocytes based on storage time with cross-sectional methods and descriptive analytical research design. The number of samples used was 45 PRC blood bags using the method of blood smear preparation with giemsa staining and observed under a 100x magnification microscope. Based on the results of day 0 research found most of the abnormal erythrocyte morphology, namely 40 blood bags (88.9%) and a small part had normal morphology as many as 5 blood bags (11.1%), the results of the study on days 10, 20 and 30 found abnormal morphology as many as 45 blood bags (100%). The occurrence of an increase in abnormal erythrocytes at 0 days is caused by the life span of erythrocytes that have reached the age of 120 days, the quality of staining, and environmental factors from donors, as well as previous studies. The presence of erythrocyte damage on days 10, 20 and 30 was caused by the quality of Giemsa staining, storage time and length of delay in making blood smears due to delays in sample delivery, and shipping temperature

Abstract

Cervical cancer is still a major health problem in women worldwide, early detection of cancer is carried out through the IVA examination method, but the achievement of early detection of cervical cancer in Musi Banyu Asin Regency is still below the national target, as well as the Ulak Paceh Public Health Center. This study aims to determine the factors that are associated with the Visual Acetate Inspection at the Ulak Paceh Health Center. The research design used is cross sectional, all women aged 30-50 years who live in the working area of the Ulak Paceh Health Center as many as 63 people taken as a total population. Data collection using a questionnaire conducted in May 2022. The results of statistical test analysis using the Chi-Square test showed that there was a relationship (p < 0.05) there was a relationship between age and IVA examination at WUS (p value = 0.047), there was a relationship between education and IVA examination at WUS (p value = 0.003), there is a relationship between access to information and IVA examination in WUS (p value = 0.000), there is a relationship between husband's support and IVA examination in WUS (p value = 0.000), there is a relationship between cadre support and IVA examination in WUS (p value = 0.000) The most dominant variable related to the IVA examination at WUS at the Ulak Paceh Health Center is the husband's support variable, with an OR value of 50.400. So the Puskesmas should provide information related to cervical cancer and early detection efforts through IVA examinations using electronic media, so that the information reaches the public

Abstract

The prevalence of diabetes mellitus, its complications and client visits to the health center are increasing every year. This will have a negative impact on the productivity of the client and the cost of treatment is very large due to diabetes complications. Some clients say it is difficult to control blood sugar. The International Diabetes Management Practices Study (IDMPS) reports that most diabetes clients have not received education. Only 36.1% of clients have received education. Endocrinologists admit that health workers have not optimally handled diabetes cases. Nurses in the field of non-communicable diseases at the Palembang City Health Center also admitted that they had not been optimal in providing education to clients with diabetes. The aim of this study was to determine the role of nurses as educators in preventing complications of diabetes mellitus using a descriptive analytic survey. All clients with diabetes in the Talang Betutu Health Center Work Area for 4 months in 2019 are the target population. The target population is 202 and the sample is taken from the total sampling of the target population visiting in June totaling 51 respondents. Data were taken using a questionnaire and the results were analyzed using univariate statistics. Research results: 55% of respondents stated that the role of nurses was good and 45% said that it was still not good. 57% of respondents stated that educational strategies were still lacking, but 83% of nurses' attitudes were good. 34% of respondents stated that nurses were still unclear in explaining blood sugar control, 50% stated that explanations for preventing acute complications were still lacking and explanations for preventing chronic complications such as heart disease, hypertension and kidney 70% stated that they were still unclear. Conclusion: The role of nurses as diabetes educators still needs to be improved so that complications can be minimized.

Abstract

Presentation of 24.84 million in Indonesia In 2021, school students produce organic and inorganic waste every day. The results of monitoring and evaluation at SDN 85 Palembang City in 2022, 15% of 25% of the achievement targets in subjects have integrated 3R materials, the habit of sorting waste according to its type has not become behavior with the results of socialization monitoring reaching 10% of the 20% achievement target, and reducing plastic waste from the target achievement of 20% there is no change in the physical condition of the environment in reducing the accumulation of plastic waste. This shows it is important to maintain behavior and health as a manifestation of the need for better health. Objective: Factors related to the behavior of throwing garbage in its place by fifth grade students at SDN 85 Palembang City in 2022. The study was conducted from May 25, 2022 to June 02, 2022. Methods: The research design used a quantitative approach with a cross sectional and a sample of 65 respondents with simple random sampling technique. Results: The results showed that there is a relationship between knowledge and behavior p value (0.044), there is no relationship between gender and behavior p value (0.924), and there is no relationship between attitude and behavior p value (0.065). Suggestion: Suggestions for SDN 85 Palembang to optimize the role of UKS as information and education regarding environmental care and to conduct intensive socialization of waste sorting methods to all school residents. For further researchers to be able to develop more in-depth research on factors related to behavior.
