Abstract

Headache and stiff neck can feel with people with hypertension, that condition can make patient uncomfortable. Ginger compress at head and neck can reduce pain in both because ginger contain of gingerol and shogaol which can make vasodilation and reduce inflammation. There is still few patient who use ginger for reduce pain because patient lack of information of that. In the other hand, education as nursing intervention can use to improve patient knowledge and ability to giving ginger compress. This study, measure impact of education with giving questionner and observe respondent ability and then analyse the data with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result shown education which give to 35 respondent can improve patient knowledge and ability significantly with p-value 0,000 and recommend this intervention to enhance patient knowledge and ability.

Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, Indonesia experienced the attack of COVID-19 which became a world pandemic. A special location is prepared as a place for handling COVID-19 patients along with health personnel resources, and supporting facilities. As the location for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, it is necessary to know the satisfaction response of patients who have been treated at the Emergency Hospital of RSUD dr. H. Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja with the hope that it can be useful for good service quality in hospitals. This study is a qualitative research with data collection methods through in-depth interviews with COVID-19 patients who have received treatment at Emergency Hospitals, Emergency Hospital nurses, and Management at dr. H. Ibnu Sutowo, supported by observation and documentation. The results show that the factors that make COVID-19 patients treated at the Emergency Hospital satisfied are friendly doctors and nurses, good service, easy-to-understand explanations, motivation that is always given by officers and adequate infrastructure. The service procedure is considered good. There are no significant obstacles when the patient is treated. The quality of care was considered satisfactory. The infrastructure is adequate. Health protocols have been implemented. Communication, friendliness, politeness, skills, and responsiveness were felt quite well. Based on this research, it is expected that Emergency Hospital officers will continue to maintain and improve service quality. Hospitals are expected to improve and maintain infrastructure and assess patient satisfaction on a regular basis. The government is expected to continue to increase supervision and support for referral hospitals that treat COVID-19 patients.

Abstract

The morbidity and mortality rate due to diarrhea is relatively high. Several surveys in Indonesia show that diarrhea morbidity rates for all age groups are around 120-360 per 1000 population. Of the 18 Community Health Centers in OKU District, the UPTD Sekar Jaya Health Center is one of the Health Centers with the highest cases of diarrhea in toddlers. This study aims to determine the analysis of environmental sanitation on the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. The research design used was cross sectional. The study population was all houses with toddlers who lived in Sekar Jaya Village, Working Area of the UPTD Sekar Jaya Health Center, OKU Regency, totaling 146 toddlers with a sample size of 107. The statistical tests used were chi square and logistic regression. Based on univariate analysis, the results showed that 41 respondents (38.3%) had diarrhea, there were 29 respondents (27.1%) with clean water quality who did not meet the requirements, there were 48 respondents (44.9%) with latrines that did not meet the requirements. There were 65 respondents (60.7%) did not provide trash cans and there were 41 respondents (38.3%) with the type of house floor that did not meet the requirements. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the quality of clean water and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a p value of 0.000, there was a significant relationship between healthy latrines and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a p value of 0.004, there was a significant relationship between the availability of trash cans and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with p value 0.002 and there is a significant relationship between the type of house floor and the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a p value of 0.000. The clean water quality variable is the most dominant variable affecting the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers with a p value of 0.000 and OR = 67.968.

Abstract

One of the factors that influence the wound healing of a Caesarean section is early mobilization. Early mobilization can accelerate blood circulation so that oxygen supply to the tissues will be smooth and can accelerate the growth of new tissue in surgical wounds, improve metabolism regulation and restore the physiological work of organs vital organs. Purpose from the research to determine the relationship between early mobilization and postoperative wound healing at Cesarean Section at Charitas Hospital Klepu in 2021. This study used a cross-sectional design, this study was conducted in October 2020-March 2021. The study population of this study were mothers who gave birth with Caesarean section at Charitas Hospital Klepu, with a consecutive sampling technique of 33 respondents who were taken using. Data were collected through observation sheets, then analyzed using the chi-square test with a 95% degree of confidence. From the results of the study, 23 respondents (92%) had good early mobilization with good wound healing and 2 respondents (8%) had poor wound healing. Respondents who did poor early mobilization with good wound healing were 2 respondents (25%), while those who experienced poor wound healing were 6 respondents (75%). The results of statistical tests showed a relationship between early mobilization and postoperative wound healing (p = 0.001). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between early mobilization and post-caesarean section wound healing

Abstract

The corona virus has spread in various parts of the world, not only countries, provinces or districts, but even in remote villages this virus has caused an alarming impact. Knowledge and attitudes of mothers during the post partum period are very important in order to avoid infection which results in long recovery from reproductive organs. During the postpartum period, a mother is very susceptible to infection. Infection as another important factor causing maternal death often occurs due to poor hygiene after childbirth that is not treated. Therefore, the cleanliness of the reproductive organs is very important to prevent infection. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge and attitudes of postpartum mothers in caring for reproductive organs after childbirth during the COVID-19 pandemic. this research method is descriptive. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, the subjects of this study were 96 respondents. This research was conducted in July 2021. The results showed that of 96 respondents the knowledge about caring for reproductive organs during the pandemic was still not good, namely 71.76% (less than 76%) and for attitudes, it was found that respondents had positive behavior as much as 68.26%. The conclusion is the better the knowledge possessed by the mother about the treatment of reproductive organs, the better the action for disease prevention will be. Vice versa. So with good knowledge, it is hoped that preventive measures will be even better.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis; these bacteria can live in the lungs and in various other organs of the body. This study aimed to determine what factors relate to adherence to pulmonary anti-tuberculosis drugs in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Karya Mukti Public Health Center, Ogan Komering Ulu District in 2022. The quantitative research method used in this study was a cross sectional design. The population in this study was families with pulmonary TB patients in the work area of ??the Karya Mukti Health Center in 2022. The sampling method in this study used a total sampling technique. The number of samples in this study was 36 respondents. a questionnaire distributed to collect the data. From the results of statistical analysis by using the chi-square test, it shows that there was a significant relationship (p value < 0.05) for knowledge (p value 0.008), motivation (p value 0.019), and family support (p value 0.048). There was no relationship between age (p value 0.49), gender (p value 0.345) and the role of officers (p value 0.296). From the results of the multivariate analysis, it was found that the dominant factor on adherence to pulmonary OAT in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Karya Mukti Health Center, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in 2022, was knowledge (p value 0.011) (OR 6.87). From this research, it is hoped that the Health Center will provide counseling guidance to families, so that families can find out what can be done for families with pulmonary TB.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO), prevalence the low birth weight globally is 15.2%. This number shows that around 20 million babies in each year born with low birth weight and 96.5% of them happened in developing countries. The prevalence of low birth weight largest regionally found in South Asian which is 28%, Africa Sub-Sahara 13%, and Latin America 9%. The method used in this study was analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The statistical test was chi-square test. The population of this study was new born babies at DKT Lahat Hospital, Lahat District 2020 which was estimated to be 644 respondents and the sample was 86 respondents. The univariate analysis showed that of 89 respondents studied, there was 22 respondents (25.6%) experienced low baby birth weight, whose with preterm gestational age was 36 respondents (41.9%), whose with anemia was 33 respondents (38.4%), and whose with risky body mass index was 21 respondents (24.4%). The result showed that there was significant relationship between gestational age and low birth weight p value 0.002 < ? = 0,05, there was significant relationship between anemia and low birth weight p value = 0.010 < ? = 0.05, and there was significant relationship between body mass index and low birth weight p value = 0.018 < ? = 0.05. The results of this study are expected to give good and correct midwifery care as an effort to prevent the low birth weight on new born babies

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic has become a major threat to public health, especially nurses. Nurses as the front line are vulnerable to psychological disorders such as anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and social support with nurse anxiety in treating COVID-19 patients at RSPI Prof. Dr. Sulianti Saroso. Quantitative research with cross sectional design. Sample of nurses caring for COVID-19 patients. A sample of 136 nurses was taken by purposive sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire using a google form. Univariate analysis using frequency distribution, bivariate analysis using chi square. The results showed that of the 136 nurses who treated COVID-19 patients, half of them were in the non-anxious category, namely 81 (59.6%)%, 50 (36.8%) mild anxiety, namely 50 (36.8%) and 5(3, 7%) moderate anxiety. Most of them had good knowledge about COVID-19, namely 101 (74.3%) and stated that social support was in the supportive category, namely 71 (52.1%). There is a relationship between social support and the anxiety level of the COVID-19 screening nurse (p value = 0.004). There is a relationship between social support and nurses' anxiety level (p value = 0.000).

Abstract

The majority of postmenopausal women (90.32%) complained of discomfort in the bones, joints and muscles. Generally it is mostly found in the joints of the feet and joints of the hands which can cause pain which is often inflamed and described as complaints and disorders that can be said to be Rheumatoid Arthritis. This complementary treatment that uses warm compresses with grated ginger to reduce pain in rheumatoid arthritis can be done by nurses independently without collaboration with other medical teams. Warm water compresses with grated ginger can reduce pain in menopausal women who experience rheumatoid arthritis because ginger contains cyclo-oxygenase enzymes. This study aims to determine the effect of warm water compresses with grated ginger on reducing rheumatoid arthritis pain in postmenopausal women.The results of this study indicate that the average pain before applying warm compresses is 4.63 ± 5.00, while the average pain after applying warm compresses is 1.10 ± 1.00. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test, it was found that ? value = 0.000, with a value of ? = 0.05 (? <?), meaning that there was an effect of warm compresses with ginger on pain intensity in postmenopausal women with rheumatoid arthritis at RT 02 Talang Jambe Palembang City in 2023

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) recommends that the best way to keep babies and mother health is to give exclusive breastfeeding at least to 6 months. The World Allience for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) estimates that 1 million babies might be safe every year if they have breast-milk at the first 1 hour of birth then continue with exclusive breast-milk until 6 months, because breast-milk not only contains enough nutrition, but complete, and it also has immune that useful to the immunity of the baby. There is only 64.7% breastfeeding mothers in the world that did exclusive breastfeeding. The method used in this study was analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The statistical test was chi-square test. The population of this study was women who owned baby with age more than 6 months at Perumnas Public Health Center, Lahat District 2021 which was estimated to be 380 respondents and the sample was 79 respondents. The univariate analysis showed that of 79 respondents studied, there was 27 respondents (34.2%) did exclusive breastfeeding, whose with good knowledge was 21 respondents (26.6%), whose with working was 16 respondents (20.3%), and whose with husband well support was 30 respondents (38.0%). The result showed that there was significant relationship between knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding p value 0.004 <? = 0.05, there was significant relationship between work and exclusive breastfeeding p value = 0.017 <? = 0.05, and there was significant relationship between husband support and exclusive breastfeeding p value = 0.010 <? = 0.05. The results of this study are expected to increase exclusive breastfeeding on mothers with 0-6 month baby.
