Abstract

Datawarehouse as a business decision support tool for sales data analysis functions to assist the sales department in making daily decisions. PT XYZ often experiences problems in analyzing its sales data, such as can not identify the highest sales areas and the total highest number of sales. The purpose of this study is to analyze and design a decision support tool which is appropriate to the needs of the sales of PT.XYZ. The design of systems uses object-oriented approach while database design uses data warehouse method. Any result obtained from this study is a design a data warehouse that can be used to assist the sales department to create sales decisions everyday. The designed decision-making system based on data warehouse can help the sales department in their daily activities.

Abstract

Databases to manage data related to student and school are required to support the implemented information technology applications. This study aims to analyze and design a database system that supports the school management information systems, especially for SMA 78 Jakarta as a case study. Included in the system are the students and teachers data management, the management of school tuition, and the management of learning materials and assignments for students. This research uses data collection methods, with a literature study, questionnaires, interviews, observation, and studying the data obtained from the school. Analyses were performed on the results of questionnaires, interviews and observations to identify user needs. The design used conceptual and logical database system design. The result achieved is the application for school management information system that can be used by students, teachers and school officials in supporting learning process and school administration. The developed application is expected to be a medium for students and teachers to share information in teaching and learning activities and administrative processes.

Abstract

In flat environments, housewives are most found staying throughout the day. They use existing open spaces in housing project to interact with other residents. To find out, discover and analyze the correlation between the pattern of open space utilization and the pattern of activity of housewives at flats, this research was conducted using descriptive analysis method bases on case studies on some flats in urban areas, namely Kebon Kacang Flat (KK), Kemayoran Flat (K), Taman Surya Flat (TS) and Pasar Jumat Flat (PJ). Subjects were housewives (residents of the flats); sampling is taken by stratified random sampling. The survey was conducted by interview to obtain data on activity patterns of the mother. Subsequently, observation was conducted to get an overview of the activity patterns of mothers and use of open space including non-physical and physical data of these open spaces. The implementation was done in three stages: preparation (literature study and data collection by remote sensing), interpretation, field test and re-interpretation (width, location, quality of open spaces and activities, professions of women at these locations), and result presentation.

Abstract

As a public service provider the government faces a lot of problems associated with the improvement of public service quality through excellent service performance and high quality service products. Leadership factor also plays an important role in service organizations to ensure the effectiveness of the organization. Based on earlier ideas, a research is conducted towards the trade business license service delivery by local government of Tangerang which focuses on aspects of information systems management, service performance, and leadership in relation to the level of community satisfaction. There are several methods of data collection and information, such as questionnaires, interviews, field observation and literature study. The data collected were analyzed using the method of regression analysis, correlation analysis, and chi square test. The analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between the variables of the study. Therefore, it can be concluded that management information systems, service performance, and leadership has significant effects on the level of community satisfaction.

Abstract

The high increment of competition currently requires companies to have more values to offer to customers. Company must also truly understand what the core of the companies is as the reason of customers continuing the cooperation with the company. In its growth of knowledge management it clearly provide direction and a real acceleration to the company. The biggest problem is the lack of the ability of companies to see and identify the main knowledge and the main core in the company. This study discusses the best approach to identify the existing knowledge in the company as the basis for the development of the companies and for the construction of knowledge management system.

Abstract

Various constraints related to the availability of up-to-date information services and product sales happen to ProPoster Indonesia, a business of digital printing and display services system run since 2002. ProPoster Indonesia needs to offer an easy access to services and online service sales of printing products to its customers and plans to expand its business services throughout Indonesia. These conditions initiate the development of web-based service and products sales system for ProPoster Indonesia. The main objectives are to overcome the difficulties in obtaining the latest information related to services and products and facilitate promotional printing services to all parts of Indonesia. The sequential linear process model is used to develop the overall system while literature study is done to enrich the insight to develop a better system. The user friendly system makes easy for customers to get the latest information that ultimately facilitate the service process and product sales.

Abstract

Konsep customer relationship telah berubah menjadi customer engagement, yang kini dikenal sebagai konsep Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Karakteristik CRM mengakomodir tiga hal: pemasaran, penjualan, dan layanan. Industri pendidikan memiliki karakteristik paling kuat pada layanan karena keterikatan pelanggan untuk waktu yang cukup lama pada institusi pendidikan. Kepuasan pelanggan akan memberikan rekomendasi positif kepada keluarga dan kerabatnya. Sebaliknya ketidakpuasan pelanggan akan membawa rekomendasi kurang baik. Dengan demikan, pelayanan pelanggan selama masih terikat dengan perusahaan sangat menentukan keberlangsungan bisnis perusahaan selanjutnya. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan model EUCS (End User Computing System) dimana hipotesisnya diuji berdasarkan análisis korelasi dan análisis regresi serta menggunakan IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) untuk melihat hal-hal yang perlu ditingkatkan dengan menghitung gap analisisnya. Berdasarkan análisis korelasi, semua hipotesis H1 (ada hubungan) diterima dan berdasarkan análisis regresi, semua hipotesis H1 (berpengaruh) diterima. Dan berdasarkan IPA, tiga dari lima variabel perlu peningkatan sebagai prioritas pertama. Sementara untuk prioritas kedua semua variabel perlu ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Cell phones are now a cheap means of wide-ranged wireless communication. One feature widely used is the short message service (SMS). The cellular communication system is more appropriate for long-distanced applications than high speed data transfer. This study aims to develop a GSM modem interface with AVR microcontroller using C programming language. The tools controlled by the microcontroller system can gain more benefit if it is linked with GSM mobile communication system. The results of this study can be applied whether in a remote monitoring system, remote control system, or communication between the microcontroller via SMS. Many additional benefits can be obtained for the tools controlled by the microcontroller when connected to a GSM system.

Abstract

The cosmetics trend is apparently in line with the fashion trend which is likely to change from time to time. Competition in the cosmetics industry today, coupled with the increasing number of imported cosmetic products on the market require cosmetic companies to continue innovating and taking advantage of opportunities as possible. A very rapid development of Internet opens opportunities for cosmetic companies, especially PT EIGL, to be able to offer products to Internet users. The purpose of this study is to build a prototype e-commerce application, preceded by identifying the odds and the readiness of companies in conducting e-commerce. The methodology used is the analysis of the company's readiness using the preparation analysis of a market opportunity and design application using object-oriented approach. The research results in an e-commerce application that consists of the front-end and content management system. From this study it can be concluded that PT EIGL retains the opportunity to run e-commerce. To facilitate the company in managing e-commerce website a content management system is created in an easy way to operate.

Abstract

Wireless technology is one of many technologies that can enable people to communicate with each other by air medium, or rather you can say by radio frequency. This paper discusses about history of wireless technology, different kinds of wireless connection, wireless technology standards, and a few comparisons of different kinds of world’s wireless technology standards. Besides discussing about history about wireless technology and wireless technology that we can use nowadays, this paper also reviews about prediction of wireless technology development in the future for better human life. The purpose of this study is to give a glimpse of view on how the wireless technology develops, the world standard for wireless technologies and work system, the security and characteristic for each wireless technology including advantages and drawbacks, and future wireless technology development.
