Abstract

Prepaid System becomes a new trend in the Indonesia retail industry, particularly in the Food and Beverage (F&B) sector. Many companies are trying to develop their own prepaid system, however they still lack of skills and knowledge regarding this system. This condition might not enable them to deliver the prepaid system to customers properly if they insist to develop their own system. However, this does not happen to company XYZ, the biggest fast food restaurant in Indonesia. Company XYZ, which collaborates with the local partner, implements their own prepaid system in their company. This local partner has already had years of experience in the payment industry, developing payment system that adapts to the latest technology and supports the company's business. A system that is integrated with the point-of-sales and website would absolutely help customer and cashier in doing the transaction process. Integrated data is very useful for the finance and accounting departments of Company XYZ providing annual financial report to the shareholders.

Abstract

Fatigue is a common situation experienced by everyone, but until now a simple measuring tools universally accepted is not exist. Fatigue measurement instrument most widely used is an instrument-based questionnaire. This study used the Swedish Occupational Fatigue Index (SOFI) as one of the instrument to measure BRT driver’s fatigue. The aim is to evaluate physical mental, and shift work fatigue and provide an overview of fatigue levels experienced by the driver BRT on two different shifts. Hopefully it can be used for driver fatigue management by a company. The study was conducted for two different shifts (morning and afternoon), with a total participants are 30 drivers. Results showed that motivation level of shift 2-driver is lower after they finish their work compared to shift1-driver. In shift 1, generally available time to rest, socializing and hanging out with family is longer than available time for shift 2-driver. Perception of loss of energy after work is also higher in shift 2 compared to shift 1, especially the perception of feeling exhausted. Similar results were obtained in the physical aspect and the physical exertion and physical discomfort. Therefore we can conclude the work shift has affected fatigue level experienced by the driver's BRT, and shift rotation is suggested to help the driver to recuperate.

Abstract

The stability of embankment over soft soil is influenced by several factors such as subsoil and filling material properties, embankment geometry, ground water level and working load. This paper will present the analysis of influencing of soft soil thickness and embankment geometry to the stability of embankment. The analysis will be conducted using Slope/W by varying the thickness of soft soil and embankment geometry with certain embankment height and soft soil and fill material properties. The thickness of soft soil is varies in range of 2m to 15m, whereas the slope of embankment is varies in 4 condition i.e. 1:1 (vertical : horizontal), 1:1.5, 1:2, and 1:2.5, as well as the top width of embankment from 10m to 40m, with the output is factor of safety of embankment. The analysis result show the factor of safety is decreased when the top side of embankment is wider as well as when the slope of embankment is gentler. The analysis also show the influence of soft soil thickness to the embankment stability is limited to certain depth only that is in range of 7m to 10m, then the factor of safety remains constant.

Abstract

The development of the city is along with population growth in the city, from low density into a higher density. Along with the development of the population of the city that is denser, it is necessary to change the pattern of development, where the trend today is leading to the vertical development although increasing the density of the area is not an easy thing. This is because an increase in the density of the area must be balanced with an increase in facilities and adequate infrastructure. If it is not fulfilled then it will have a negative impact on the city or region. One of the necessary infrastructure for the development is transportation infrastructure since the development of a city will increase density therefore in turn it will generate the daily trip, both from the region and towards the region. In the field of urban design, the formula for the density limitation is set in the urban design guidelines that functions as the foundation for an architect to design the building. Urban design guidelines is mainly formulated in the numbers BCR, FAR, and the maximum height of buildings that will form the frame of the building mass. Therefore, this paper intends to explain the optimum modeling between the density of a region with the treshold of existing road infrastructure. With the modeling of the optimum, then the negative impacts can be reduced and the modeling results will get the maximum density that can be accommodated in an area.
