Abstract

Facing the graduation period of students in the situation and condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, SD Charitas 01 Belitang experienced several obstacles so that the school made alternative strategies for the smooth assessment of the students' final assessment. By implementing the health protocol and Circular No. 4 of 2020, based on advice from the Belitang District Education Office, schools in the Belitang area continue to run the School Examination as an additional assessment for graduation requirements. The research objective is to determine the strategies adopted by schools in dealing with US implementation, determine the readiness of schools in the implementation of US and how schools overcome obstacles facing US implementation during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques carried out by interview and triangulated using a questionnaire method. The results of this study, strategies that are based on the Vision and Mission of the school and applied to help students become easier to take the exam. The school also stated that the readiness of the school and students was prepared optimally. However, both the school and students experienced several obstacles during the implementation of the strategy. School Exams held during the COVID-19 Pandemic at Charitas Elementary School 01 Belitang in 2020 could run smoothly as expected.

Abstract

This research study aims to describe the ability of students in writing rhymes for class VB SD Xaverius 4 Palembang. In education in Indonesia, Indonesian is an important subject. In Indonesian lessons, there is rhyme material. In this modern era, rhymes are rarely used in special occasions such as weddings, thanksgiving events and traditional events. This stems from the negative impact of globalization which makes people adopt unpopular lifestyles such as western culture. Whereas pantun is one of the nation's cultures that must be studied. Therefore, I was interested in researching the students' rhyme writing skills. This research is a qualitative research. The population in this study amounted to 91. The sample in this study amounted to 25. The data collection technique was done by means of interviews, tests, and documentation. Validation is done by validating the triangulation of researchers. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that students are very capable in writing rhymes. This can be proven by the average value obtained is 91.1 and it is in the very good category. Although the research results show that students are very capable in writing rhymes, they are still students who do not meet several requirements in writing rhymes.

Abstract

The background of this research is that online learning programs that have been set by the government are not well followed by students. This research entitled “Implementation of Online Learning in SD Negeri 3 Muara Burnai 1 village”. This study aims to describe the implementation of online learning in SD Negeri 3 Muara Burnai 1 village. This research uses qualitative research methods, which prioritizes the process of occurrence of events in natural situations. Research subject in this study are 3 students who can fill out a questionnaire that has been distributed and the homeroom teacher. Data colletion techniques in this study by giving questionnaris to students and interviews. Data analysis techniques used in this study is by conducting interviews with respondents. The results of this study are the implementation of online learning in SD Negeri 3 Muara Burnai 1 village has not been implemented well. This can be seen form the online learning process that is not followed by students from the beginning to the end of learning.

Abstract

Readability of a reading text can affect students' understanding of the reading text. Readability of a reading text can be measured one of them by using a fry chart. This study aims to describe the readability of narrative texts in the third grade thematic books of Elementary Schools. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this study were using purposive sampling technique. In this study, researchers only chose narrative text that has a number of words ? 100 words contained in the thematic books grade III Elementary School. After selecting the narrative text that has a number of words ? 100 words, 21 narrative texts were selected which were then analyzed for readability using a fry chart. Based on calculations from 21 narrative texts using fry charts, the results show that there are only 19% of narrative texts suitable for grade III elementary schools, 42.9% of narrative texts whose readings are suitable for grade levels above grade III elementary schools, and 38.1% of narrative texts which is declared invalid or unsuitable for use at any class level.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the need to develop fraction material using e-learning media for fifth grade students of SDK Frater Xaverius 2 Palembang. This study adapts the research procedures of Borg and Gall. The research development developed by Borg and Gall consists of 10 stages. This article is limited to a Needs Analysis. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire or questionnaire. Questionnaires or questionnaires are divided into two types, namely closed questionnaires and open questionnaires. This study uses a combination of the two questionnaires, because on the needs analysis questionnaire sheet in this study there are statements that have been accompanied by answer choices andthere are statements filled out by respondents according to actual conditions. Based on the results of the needs analysis, it is shown that the development of fractional material using elearning learning media is needed.

Abstract

Education has an important role to format the character, and mentality of students and to develop science. One of the most important tools in education is language. Each language has its own system and rules including Indonesian Language. Less mastery of making sentence affects students in the learning process generally and communication in daily life. Certainly, elementary students are equipped with the ability to make sentences, especially with basic sentence patterns such as single sentences. Therefore, it is important to analyze the ability of fourth grade students to make a single sentence. This is to find out whether students are able to receive the lessons for making single sentences in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. From research in SD Xaverius 4 Palembang with qualitative research methods and triangulation analysis techniques the researcher found that IVB grade students were able to make single sentences. This is evidenced by students who get a score of 100 which is quite a lot reaching 85.18%, because the single sentence that is made has both of these core elements, and there are some students who get a score of less than 100 reaching 14.81%, due to single sentences that students do not have one of the core elements, there are even sentences that do not have these two core elements, so that the sentence cannot be said to be a single sentence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of speed reading ability of 5th grade students of SD Xaverius 2 Palembang. This study uses a mixed methot research method. Using qualitative methods that prioritize the process of occurrence of events in natural situations, while quantitative methods that use mathematical models related to the phenomena that occur. The research subjects in this study were 26 students who took the reading speed test and filled out the reading comprehension test that had been distributed by the homeroom teacher. The data collection technique in this study is to perform a reading speed test which is calculated using a stopwatch and fill out an understanding test in the form of multiple choice. The results of this study are the average ability of all 5th grade students of SD Xaverius 2 Palembang has a medium category with a reading speed of 136kmp. Based on the results of the data on the understanding ability of the 5th graders of SD Xaverius 2 Palembang, it was included in the very good category with an average score of 91. So, based on the data, the 5th graders of SD Xaverius 2 Palembang were classified as very good.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on all human life including education, to reduce the impact of the pandemic, namely by reducing crowds and maintaining distance. The purpose of this study was to find out and describe how attitude assessment was in accordance with K13 during this pandemic at Xaverius 1 Elementary School Palembang. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews, and questionnaires. From the research, it was found that attitude assessment still exists online by continuing to use the K13 attitude assessment guide but slightly different aspects, methods, and instruments to adjust to the pandemic situation. Many difficulties are experienced in this attitude assessment, for example in selfassessment conducted through Google Forms it is difficult to guarantee the truth, in the assessment between friends they do not know each other, and in teacher observations it is difficult to know the real students because they can only judge fromcollection of assignments, attendance, and when PJJ via video call. Of course this PJJ has a positive impact as well, such as teachers and students being forced to use IT and students becoming more independent and creative.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, SD Xaverius 3 Palembang experienced several obstacles, so the school decided to do online learning using an online application. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of online applications during the covid19 pandemic, the supporting factors during the use of online applications and the strategies used during the use of online applications. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive method. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire/questionnaire method and triangulated using the interview method. The results of this study, online applications used by teachers are zoom, google meet, google forms, google classroom, google email, whatsapp group and telegram. The teachers also said that the supporting factors obtained so far were wifi, internet quota, ipad, flash disk and attending trainings on the use of online applications organized by schools, UKMC lecturers and the Xaverius Palembang Foundation. The teachers also use additional applications such as kine master, bandicam, xrecorder and youtube. Communication tools such as cellphones and laptops are also sufficient and 80% of teachers replace cellphones. While the strategy used is to make online lesson plans, PPT slide shows and videos. However, the teachers experienced problems while using the online application. The problem is the slow wifi network because all the teachers use it and the weather factor. Time constraints are also an obstacle, because they work with super extras and students who are getting bored with online learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know fourth grade student book based on Curricullum 2013 in theme “Pahlawanku” subtheme “Pahlawanku Kebanggaanku” on lesson three with core competencies, learning objectives, indicators, materials, tool and learning resources. This section is ninth fragment from eighteen analyze from fourth grade student book based on Curricullum 2013 on theme “Pahlawanku” subtheme “Pahlawanku Kebangganku”. This research using qualitative descriptive method by analyze document are fourth grade student book based on Curricullum 2013 on theme “Pahlawanku” and fourth grade teacher book based on Curricullum 2013. The analyze revolves on the rule of Ministry of Education and Culture, and article discussing about the implementation of Curricullum 2013 and article from Badan Nasional Standar Pendidikan (BSNP) website. The result of this research are found that there is PJOK indicators not in accordance with core competencies. There is learning materials not in accordance with learning activities. There is no tools and learning resources adding. The conclusions of this research is fourth grade student book on theme “Pahlawanku” needs much improved with the discrepancies that found in lesson three on subtheme “Pahlawanku Kebanggaanku”.
