Abstract

This research aims to produce thematic comic learning media in SDK Mitra Penabur Eben Haezar Palembang. This type of research uses development research Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the questionnaire validation were validated by three media experts. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the validation results found a total average of 2.3 or 2 <Va ? 3. This means that the thematic comic design developed by the researcher is considered less valid in terms of media. Thus the thematic comic design can be continued with revisions. The reason is based on the results of the material expert's test on thematic comic designs showing valid results so that they are suitable for use with revisions. Meanwhile, the media validation on thematic comic designs shows the results are less valid so that it requires revision of the image. For this reason, researchers continue their research by improving pictures, improving stories to make them more interesting, improving the layout of writing and images, inclusion of material points in pictures, and improving writing.

Abstract

This study aims to produce valid, practical and effective module form of learning development teaching materials for students. This study uses a development research method proposed by Rwontree. The three research steps proposed by Rwontree are needs analysis, development and evaluation. Based on the results of the expert review, it shows that an average of 72.6% is valid enough in terms of material, language and learning design. In the one to one and small group stages, the results showed that module development was practical. At the results of the field test stage there was a change in learning outcomes with reference to the pretest and posttest scores. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the module development proved to be valid, practical, and effective on learning outcomes. Therefore, researchers expect teachers and students to use the module. The study program is expected to be able to make reference material in implementing learning. For other researchers, it can be an additional reference as a provision for conducting module research.

Abstract

The ability to read and write is better known as literacy at this time. Writing skills are related to reading because if a person is used to writing, he usually reads as well. This study aims to describe the written literacy ability of class I students at SDN Panca Tunggal in learning activities in class with a subject of 24 students. The type of research used is a mix method that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing, interviewing, recording direct tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used was qualitative analysis procedures, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study concluded that the writing literacy of class I students had shown good results. The results of the indicators given to students showed that some students were able to write letters, write syllables, write words and write simple sentences given through direct tests.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine student motivation in choosing a PGSD study program. Does it match their aspirations? This research is a descriptive qualitative research by collecting data and information through interviews, reduced the data and then presented before being concluded. This research is deliberately limited to only knowing the motivation in choosing the PGSD study program whose has big impact, such as the effect on enthusiasm for learning and learning outcomes. From the data obtained (18 respondents) it can be concluded that very few who choose the PGSD study program because of their aspires to become a teacher (only 2). Most of them (16 responden) choose the PGSD study program because of 'forced' with many reasons. This is very sad. However, there is still hope because in the process learning, some them want to become teachers (9 respondents). This means that there is a change in their motivation to become a teacher or there is a change of their paradigm about education.

Abstract

Character education is something that gets a lot of attention in today's era. In the current era where there is a lot of deviant behavior, character education is needed to minimize the occurrence of deviant acts. Character education is carried out to internalize character values ??into every human being, so that behavior changes from bad to better. So that character values ??can be internalized optimally in every human being, the implementation of character education should start from an early age. Education in elementary schools in this case has an important role to carry out character education. The success of character education is influenced by several factors, one of which is a conducive classroom climate. Through a class climate that is characterized by allowing students to build habits to always behave well. The creation of a class with character requires the role of the teacher in it. As a person who spends a lot of time interacting with students at school, of course, there are also many opportunities for teachers to internalize character values ??to students, in this case through the creation of character classes. Some things that teachers can do in building a class with character include: 1) Building a bond of character models, 2) teaching good manners, teaching academics along with character, practicing character-based discipline, 4) teaching good manners, 5) preventing peer delinquency and promoting kindness, and 6) helping children to take responsibility for building their own character.

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the influence of learning model by using Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) toward the result of Mathematic study. This research was True Experimental Design with Posttest-Only Control Design. The sample of this research were third graders A and B of SD Negeri 2 Palembang in 2018/2019 with the total students were 54 students.The instruments that were used in this research were questions in essay form (cognitive),validity test for questions, and reliability for questions. The data of study results were from posttest. The result of posttest was tested with normality test, homogeneity test, hypoheses test by using t-test and the significant value was 0.05. The sum of posttest score in experiment group was 67.19 meanwhile in control group was 55.21. Based on the result of hypotheses test it could be known that tcount ttablethat was13,02 1,676therefore it could be concluded that there is influence of learning model by using Students Teams Achievement Divison (STAD) toward the result of Mathematic study of third graders in SD Negeri 2 Palembang.

Abstract

The background of this research is the limited use of media in teaching and learning in schools. This study is entitled "Mapping the Needs and Use of 3D Learning Media in Elementary Schools in Ilir Timur II District Palembang". The purpose of this study was to determine the needs and use of elementary school 3D media using the analysis method. This research is a qualitative study, a research that has a natural background, is descriptive, is more concerned with processes, tends to analyze data, and focuses on meaning. Data collection method by interview. From interviews conducted with five teachers in five elementary schools, it is known that 3D learning media is needed and they have never used it. From the results and discussion it can be concluded that all schools studied need 3D media and have not used 3D learning media.

Abstract

This research is entitled The Development of Self Assessment in Indonesian Language Lessons in Class VI of SD Indriasana Palembang. This research was motivated by the absence of self-assessment instruments on Indonesian language subjects for grade VI elementary school students, especially SD Indriasana Palembang. The purpose of this study was to produce new products for self-assessment instruments of grade 6 students of SD Indriasana Palembang. This study developed an attitude assessment instrument based on KI 2 in KD 2.1, which has responsibility for the characteristics of living things and the environment through the use of Indonesian. This research is a type of Strategy and Development (R & D). From the 10 stages of Borg and Gall, researchers only reached 3 stages, namely: needs analysis, initial product development, and validation. Data collection is done by interview techniques and questionnaires. The results of the study were in the form of a class VI self assessment instrument needed at SD Indriasana Palembang. The results of the study also state that self-assessment instruments can be included in the valid category and can be used with revisions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the readability of the teks in the narrative essay contained in the text books published by the ministry of education and culture for grade V students. This study uses quantitative qualitative. Data collection techniquea in this study by collecting narrative text in the fifth grade students text books in the student text books there are 13 narrative text, to find out the level of readability of the narrative tekt in the fifth grade students books by culculating according to the steps of the formula fry chart. Based on the reselts of the discussion, it can be concluded that overall the narrative text in the fifth grade students text books has different readability reselts and the grade V student text books have a 31% readability level within the range of the fry graph located at class IV, V, VI with that student text books suitable for use in class V.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the text produced by students in class V SD Xaverius 1 Palembang with the topic Banjir. This type of research uses a mix method that combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The population in this study amounted to 110 students with a sample of 40 students. The writings of the students were assessed by the researcher and validated triangulation by one linguist. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the language assessment gets 0 as many as 25 students, 0.5 values as many as 11 students, and those who get a value of 1 are 4 students.
